Yay! Broadening horizons! Hello there BGC! I was invited by an awesome group of foodies at BGC and they suggested we munch at Relik restaurant. I arrived a bit late because the words "6pm" and "BGC" never go well together. A humble tapas bar tucked away on the 2nd floor of the Commercenter Building, I felt like I was in for a night of good food with fellow foodies. They also have  a live acoustic band performing (though I felt their sound system as a pitch higher than it was supposed to)

Buffalo Chicken Skin 185php - Sweet mother of chicken skins! Do you know the popular fastfood happy chicken? If your answer is yes and you remember the taste of their chicken skin. This dish tastes like it! Joy in every bite! While it may have the word "buffalo" to it. It's not as spicy. Drizzled with mayo. One of the appetizers you'd munch with beer in hand

Beef Strips Salpicao 358php - Slices of beef. Strips of tasty meat. This is best paired with rice. No joke! You know how us Filipinos would not do justice for a good dish without rice? Yes. You know it. This is one of those moments!

Slow Roasted Beef Belly 425php - I asked the question "What's your best selling dish?" and I was met with the answer "Slow Roasted Beef Belly". They ain't kidding! This is one of those moments where you ask "What's your bestseller?" and they serve it to ya! A common trait of slow roasted protein, is their trademark tenderness and the coveted "melts in your mouth" feeling

Chorizig 269php - Yes. You read that right. CHORIZIG. Also a member of the best seller group, this doesn't fail to impress your taste buds with chopped pork and chorizo. It kinda sounds weird in your head but trust me, with all your heart! You need to get this! It's sisig but with a particular kick of garlic and a bit of sourness. Adding to the mix is scrambled eggs for the familiar homey flavor of traditional sisig. It is served on a hot sizzling plate drizzled with mayonaise and a slice of Philippine lime! You know the drill!

There's a lot more in their menu that I want to try (and wasn't able to ask about. Ugh!) They have Lechon Kawali. Salmon Belly Sisig. AND their take on a popular shrimp dish, Gambas! Need to visit this place again or maybe you can?

So there's more to Relik than tugs tugs tugs!! 128518 We were invited by The Foodie Station to try out the new specials of Relik one Monday night.
We were served the following dishes:

CHORIZIG: Sizzling pork and chorizo sisig, topped w an egg and then drizzled w Relik's chorizig mayo.

RELIK'S NACHOS: Homemade tortilla chips, meat sauce, shredded lettuce, tomato salsa, cheddar cheese and sour cream.

STICKY WINGS: Twice-cooked chicken wings w sticky sauce.

SALMON SEAWEED RICE: Soy-glazed salmon, seaweed rice topped w nori strips and sesame seeds.

BACON MAC N CHEESE: baked macaroni w cheesy sauce and bacon. Topped with more bacon and cheese.

PIZZA!! Can't remember the exact name anymore but it's w BBQ Chicken. Pretty good pizza. 128077🏼

All of the dishes were pretty good but I have my favorite --- the RELIK'S NACHOS. It was really goooood! Can't stop myself from getting and eating and getting and eating!! 128518 It's not just any nachos because it was super loaded!! 128563 It's like a taco but presented in a nacho form. No wonder why this is @thefoodiestation 's favorite!

So if you're looking for a place to eat and have a few bottles of beer, you might want to try Relik! 128521

Relik has a new set of specials that foodies alike will surely enjoy! I would recommend trying my all time favorite Nachos! Their nachos have a generous amount of everything on it.

For their new menu, try their Bacon Mac and Cheese! You will surely love the creaminess and cheeziness of it! 128525

Invited by hubby's officemates to chillax here Thursday night. It was indeed a very cozy place. I was greeted warmly by the servers as I approached the table of hubby's friends. They already had dinner when I arrived but one of his friends told me to try their pesto pasta which I did. The pasta was cooked al dente and creamy pesto. I didn't had the time to take a picture as I was already starving. The grilled chicken on top of the pasta was very tender.

I am not really a beer drinker but that night I tried the brew kettle which I loved. Not the mapakla taste but a bit sweet. No wonder had 3 bottles of it. Also, hubby ordered good pulutan chicken tenders.

That night, son of Rico Puno was playing acoustic music and anyone is welcome to jam with them.

Would definitely come back to try their other food too.

You could never ever go wrong with Relik's Rib Eye! The presentation, aroma, and definitely the taste are all very good for me! 10084128156128155

The medium rare cooked rib eye was really juicy and perfectly spiced as paired with their steak sauce. The tenderness of the beef was so addicting that you can almost forget that this main entree is good for sharing too.

The potato wedges on the side were really crispy and crunchy hot when served.

We ordered a bottle of Merlot wine to be paired with this and ooh boy, it was heaven for me! 128077🏼

I am not sure if someone here already mentioned that there is a comedy cartel here every (other) Saturdays.

Cool non-pro stand up comedians/ianes compete in a open mic session. Throwing their original jokes/act to win the vote of the crowd.

Bought the deal in deal grocer. The place was cozy and i heard they do game nights here which i find super cool! Anyhoo, the food was bleh but then again, let me refresh you with my goal in life again. The goal is to find the best tasting amaretto sour in the world. This one was alright. A bit too light for me and
It seems the other girls on nearby tables were asking for more ice for their drinks and the judgemental waiter assumed that i needed ice still to put into my amaretto so he happily did his job! Good job! so the verdict? 3 out of 5. Dont ask why its only 3. Go see for yourself.

Relik... Back when it was still the IT place. Haha.

Won't come there anymore to party but might come back for their tapas. They have awesome tapas and wines actually.

In the evening, might be too crowded for your own good. A couple of friends of mine have lost their cellphones or bags here once or twice. So be careful 128557

Had lunch out here. Ordered their boneless fried chicken since its my comfort food. Nothing much with this. No gravy but had a side of tomato salsa. I think it didn't compliment with each other. Wont order this again.

Food is really good. We ordered several dishes - Lengua, Chorizig, Paprika and Shrimp Linguine, side of Buttered Mash, and we liked everything. The 199php beer-all-you-can from 5-9pm is fantastic too.

WARNING: If you're the kind of person who doesn't go out at night and doesn't like noisy and crowded places, don't read this anymore. 128513 But if you're curious... Read away! 128540

We're semi-regular in this place and we usually go on wednesdays. I'm writing just now because the times I've been there, either I was on a diet or just drinking, so I couldn't make any comments on the food. This last visit was different.

Since I was able to bag two awards in a photo competition, my friends and I decided to meet up at Relik for a super tiny celebration. 128513 We had a couple of cold beers and we ordered a plate of garlic rice (solo but can be good for two, goodbye diet for me), Relik Salpicao, and Chorizig.

The Relik Salpicao was tender but too salty for me. My friends said it was really good but i disagree, it's not the kind of salty like when you cooked it with too much salt but the kind of salty like when you just put a tad more salt and then it didn't have the chance to mix with the other ingredients (do I make sense?)... The separation was pretty apparent according to my tastebuds. 128540

I loved the chorizig though. It's a marriage of chorizo and sisig and cooked super crispy with the usual cast (chili, onions, garlic, pepper, salt, etc). I can safely say that this is by far one of the best non-traditional sisig I've had. There were no hard parts, only crispy delicioso food in there. 128076 Although I was looking for that chorizo taste but couldn't find it. Did they scrimp on chorizo?

They also have good food selection in the menu which I'd probably try the next time we go. 128077

The place is located on the second floor and can be hard to find if you're a first timer. It's just small and has a small room for private functions. Has that tapas bar interior feel but the lighting isn't foodographer-friendly 128513

We go on wednesdays because of open mic night (not sure if there's open mic daily) where you can jam with the band led by Rita and you can just choose your songs from their songlist or if you have other songs in mind and they know how to play it, you can have that too. Don't worry about the quality of your voice, most of the customers are either pretty friendly and tolerant, immune to the sound, or too drunk to care 128514

On the same day, since it's ladies night, they have free drinks (rhum coke and margarita) for the ladies from 9-12 pm 128077, if you're not the cocktail drinker type, they also have an unlimited beer for only Php200, that's daily from 5-9pm. And if you're alcoholic, you can go there Wednesdays at 5 pm, drink unlimited beer until 9, and then drink free cocktails until 12mn. 128514128514128514

Hmmm... I sounded like a total alcoholic. 128540128541128513

Service is also good, since it's small, the waitstaff can easily see you waving your hand and doesn't pretend like they didn't see you. 128513

Anyway, this is good info for those looking for lots of booze for less the price 128077 Their food is reasonably-priced as well. And their imported beers although limited is cheaper than the beers in Distillery.

And since Looloo is contemplating on having open mic night (you are, are you? Odell R Peanut D), this is a perfect place 128522128077128076

This is my current "go-to" resto-bar. Not only because it's just across my office but also because they serve delicious meals. They have a lot of promos right now, from Yummy lunch for 199 to unlimited draft beer for 199. Great music night! Perfect for people who wants some good time after work. We got the beef salpicao, gambas and chorizig... They were delicious but a bit on the pricey side... I wanted to try the deep fried manchego and jamon serrano but I was too full! Maybe next time!

This place was awful. Let me enumerate:

❎ Terrible food - Upon the recommendation of fellow Looloo users we ate with confidence just to be sorely disappointed.
We had Mixed Paella ( ordered the day before ) mushy rice with what tasted like ketchup, a few pcs of shrimp and lots of bell peppers. This is the 2nd worst Paella I've ever had; the 1st had raisins 128547. For P 800 for a serving of 6-8 it was very disappointing. Kakahiya to our guests.
We also had the Fried Manchego Cheese- sweet and fried in breadcrumbs you can't even taste the cheese. We got the Salpicao - too much lea & perrins 128534 .
Had the Chorizig - too oily and flavor of chorizo was undiscernable.
Lamb Croquetas - where was the Lamb?

Epic Fail for the food.

✴Drinks were moderately priced - 1 star

❎ Place was run down, the "leather" booth we were at had holes in it 128530

The worst 3,000 bucks I've spent on a meal.

They didn't even warn us there was a private party going on when we reserved so #awkward as well 128545

Avoid this place like the pkafue!
