The peanut sauce is the bomb. It works well with the pork barbecue. I had 2-pc pork barbecue with java rice for PhP130.

Reyes Barbecue has been one of our go-to places for sizzling bangus and we always enjoyed every visit. This time, however, i tried their grilled hamburger. At only P120 for a one-piece burger steak with java rice and large iced tea, the meal is more preferable than others at the same price. I am wishing however for a few twists in the menu. First off, i wish the vegetables were half-cooked, and not soaked into the burger gravy (which somehow makes it look overcooked). Second, the one-piece burger looks quite different from the photo which shows full-bodied beef burger freshly off the grill. The actual burger looks much smaller and thinner than the one in the photo. Forgive my photo critique but hey, the actual bangus is comparable to the bangus in the ad photos. The burger is, sadly, not showing some similarities. I have to commend that it is much thicker than the garden variety burger steak, but at this price, i would say it still looks plain.

I would always choose Reyes Barbecue over others but they do have a lot of room to improve the burger - till the next visit!

Last week's NBW with Chichi T Kirby G Julie J Yina M. Woohoo, Makati lunch buds complete! 128513

I ordered 2 pcs. pork barbecue with java rice and peanut sauce. The pork barbecue was meaty but it tasted ordinary. Saving grace was the peanut sauce which was really good.

I'd pick Ineng's over this anytime. 128521

Perfect finals study break food! Their bangus belly is what I always come back for. Love the sweet marinade combined with my soy sauce-chili-calamansi combo. Just P145. :)

A CRAPPY RESTO DESERVES A CRAPPY PHOTO. 128544128544128544128544

My workmate and I left for lunch and my boss called me up asking where we went. She has no lunch pala so she asked if we can just buy for her. I gave her options of nearby restos from where we're eating and she chose Reyes BBQ.

I ordered boneless chicken bbq with rice and they gave me a number. After 5 minutes, the girl gave me the paperbag and we left. Wow ang bilis nila ngayon! 128561 We were in a hurry coz we still need to buy stuff from National Bookstore before going back to the office. While waiting in line at the bookstore, I double checked my order and found out we got the wrong order! What the *toot* ?!!?128545 They gave us bangus and liempo rice meals. I saw the order ticket was still inside the paperbag.

I went back (buti we were still in Greenbelt) and asked the cashier. She looked so clueless! 128563 Then a guy from the kitchen comes out with a bbq chicken meal in a box. I told him they gave us the wrong order and it turns out that what he was holding was for us talaga. Kakatapos lang nila i-prepare. Grrrr hassle talaga. The staff didn't even apologize for the hassle they caused.128545128545128545

Chose this over Cafe Mediterranean because of their boneless chicken barbecue. The last time I had their chicken BBQ was prolly 2 years ago and I recalled it to be super juicy and yummy. My friend and I decided to dine here and order the chicken BBQ because of the memories that we had and the picture on the menu.

Then the waiter served disappointment. Ooohhhh, saaareeeeh. The waiter served the boneless chicken quarter that was more of a chicken leg fillet smothered in sugar-based BBQ sauce topped with cracked black pepper. 128586 All for Php 145 w/o drinks. Should've gone to BonChon or Cafe Mediterranean instead. Beef Gyro........

So I had grilled bangus to go for lunch earlier. Those black peppers were weird.

This is my favorite at Reyes Barbecue so I'm pretty sure that there are NO black peppers on them before. I felt like I was eating grilled pork chop or something.

In any case, I downed everything in around 15 minutes so I guess it was okay. That or I was just starving. Haha.
