This restaurant is part of the Henry Hotel. As with all restaurants and cafes part of a hotel, you can expect everything here to be a little (??) overpriced.

Now that that's out of the way, I actually liked what I got. This one's their Bolognese at about 280 or 300? Pricey for something so basic but at least it was good and very filling. The sourness of tomatoes is there and the pasta al dente. Meat sauce/meat to pasta ratio also wasn't bad.

I also liked the free bread strips they give. They're these long strips of bread (thin and crispy) they serve in this vase-looking container.

Service is also pretty good. And the ambiance, very nice and artsy. Lots of natural light because of the floor to ceiling glass windows and the interior design is pretty industrial.

Overall, I can't really complain and wouldn't mind returning. :)

The best thing about this cafe is its interiors. Place looks like it was designed by art enthusiasts because of its artsy chairs, tables, wall decorations, and mirrors. It also has weird fabrics attached to the ceiling. 128077

However, the food's nothing special. I tried their clubhouse sandwich (around Php300+). I know it's a freakin clubhouse sandwich and it's really nothing special. But the serving size is way too small. Plus, price is kind of steep for a clubhouse sandwich. 128557

I should've just trusted the reviews for the other dishes. Oh well, next time! 128513

GO FOR THE QUIRKY VIBE BUT STAY FOR THE FOOD- visited this place mostly because it followed the quirky aesthetic of the iconic Henry Hotel but was pleasantly surprised that the comfort food did not pale in contrast to the location's colorful decor!

BREADSTICKS - a complimentary bowl of gigantic breadsticks is set down on the table as soon as your orders are taken! Don't take this for granted! The perfectly crunchy sticks are so flavorful and that salsa dip is absolutely divine! Great start!

MINESTRONE SOUP - the winner on the table that day! This hearty soup is made with a very generous serving of fresh vegetables simmered in a flavorful broth, and it even has pasta pieces! Every Spoonful was a truly a comfort! My new favorite minestrone!

MUSHROOM SOUP - velvety, smooth and creamy but it tastes more like real mushrooms and not cream! You know this restaurant isn't messing around or cutting corners to sacrifice quality

SALPICAO with GARLIC RICE - Rica's Best-Seller and with good reason as each bite of the soft beef is a burst of garlic flavor! The dish usually comes with mashed potatoes but since they were not available, we requested for garlic rice instead (and between you and me, I think it was a very good choice)

MIXED THIN CRUST PIZZA (pictured) - the paper thin crust makes this pizza not too heavy and a perfect addition to your meal! You can mix up to 3 Flavors, like we did and they'll put all the toppings together on your pizza! An interesting spin that we didn't anticipate! We ordered a triple cheese base, with spinach-pesto and mushroom arugula toppings! Though I'm certain any of other other flavors would be equally good!

LEMON ICE - a carafe of an iced tea slush ur concoction was brought to our table... And one sip had us in large smiles! The perfectly shaven iced tea slushie is Cool, refreshing and has just the right amount of sweetness!

Overall, a great place to have a good meal with food that will leave you feeling great!

You'd find this place inside Hotel Henry. Nice interiors to match the Hotel's stylish and boutique feel 128525

Last time i ate here was probably a year or two years ago and the food had more of a german influence to them. The place looks exactly the same as i remembered with unique gothic style wooden interiors although with minor altercations. They have this big table that they're know for that's good for about 12 people and when i say big i say that the table and chairs would probably be more fitting for people the size of Yao Ming (he's a really big 7 foot tall basketball player in case you didn't know). They're really huge!

So i look at the menu and it look pretty fancy. From black truffle carbonaras to a salpicao with some fancy name i forgot. The appetizers are pretty okay being chips and dip like how can you say anything bad about that. I order the black truffle carbonara and it had a funky taste that i didn't like. All they did was put cream sauce and shaved truffles and that's it. Nothing else. I tried the other dishes my parents ordered, the salpicao and some pork dish and they're nothing that special really.

The only thing that's good in this restaurant are their desserts. We ordered the Frozen brazo montecado, apple pie, and a mango crepe. Having good desserts instead of real food, they should just change the place to a cafe instead. The ambience is probably the only thing i would come here for, and maybe their desserts.

We were checked in at The Henry Hotel so Rica's Cafe was, by default, our food "tambayan".

The whole place was adorable, the food was also quite good. They have an al fresco fronting the tiny pool of the hotel where you can relax during siesta.

We arrived really early so we had breakfast there. I chose muesli and hot choco while enjoying my ala Alice in Wonderland seat as my feet dangled in mid-air. 128513

A few days after that, we chose to stay inside the hotel and just laze off. We went down to get some grub in the cafe for our afternoon snack.

I had the Vegetable Panini just because the similar sandwich I had at Cafe Mary Grace swept me off my feet. Rica's veggie panini was slightly toasted and perfect to the bite. The veggies with mozzarella were good although a lil bit thinly-sliced for me. Would've been unforgettable if it was thicker 128513128513

Then I also tried the Rica's Caesar. It was good, the dressing was just enough to evenly spread all over the greens. It was also impeccably whipped with that creamy-salty-tangy flavor. The bacon and croutons were also crispy. I loved it.128076

We also had the Fish and Chips, however, this was a bit of a let-down. The dory used had a light batter but I thought the fish was too soft and soggy. The potato wedges that came with it were too big although fried properly. I didn't dig the dip that much. 128532

To drown it all, I had the Frozen Lemonade served in a small pitcher used as a glass. They used lime. It wasn't too sour. The fresh lime was pretty distinct and it was utterly refreshing! 128076

I enjoyed every tambay we had at the cafe. Aside from the fact that the ambience almost felt like it was made for me, the service was really good, too. I'd definitely go back here given the chance.128077

This is a really nice boutique hotel restaurant! They serve good comfort food. I had the angus tapa and it was marinated just right--salty-sweet without being overpowering. For a picky pregnant eater, I was happy!

Very unique and artsy place. Look at those huge chairs! Reminds me of the Mad hatter's tea party. Good place to unwind and have some dessert and drinks with friends. Had their frozen brazo and wine. Good service an friendly price. Will try some main courses when I have the chance to visit the place again. :)

Ca-cappucinoo!

I've actually discovered this place from several local fashion bloggers' blogs. With decor that is exceptionally striking, who would not be gravitated to this place?

My little brother had a huge glass of Oreo milkshake, my brother had a latte and my dad had a cup of brewed coffee.

The server was really friendly and chatted with my father about random stuff about Cebu.

We just chilled out here and waited for time to pass so we could go back to our resort and swim (without the harmful rays) 127774!

Inclusive breakfast was yum! It made up for the not-so-tasty grilled chicken spinach sandwich for early dinner yesterday.

You get 4 choices of set breakfast: American, European, Fitness, and Filipino. I went for the European which was served with a piece of toast, smoked ham, slice of cheese, scrambled egg, marmalade, butter, side salad, watermelon slice, and coffee --- a complete and hearty start of the day meal!

Just like the rest of the hotel, the interiors of this restaurant is just gorgeous! I especially like the Alice & Wonderland like table --- huge chairs on a long table with an anchor chain in the middle. I am imagining the mad hatter and the cheshire cat in it.

Quirky, homey, and luxurious!

A breath of fresh air, this place gives the word "artsy" justice.:) Although the food wasn't extremely excellent, the ambience makes up for it and more. Food was quick and the waiters were the nicest and friendliest I've met.
