Our Cebu layover wouldn't be complete without eating lechon. JP G suggested that we visit this resto to satisfy our lechon cravings. Thanks again JP G 128536

We love the ambiance of the place and we are not the only one who appreciates it. The place was packed and we had to wait for our turn to be seated.

1/2 kilo reg lechon (310PHp)
1/2 kilo spicy lechon (340PHp)
Platter plain rice (120PHp)
Adobong kangkong (160PHp)
Cucumansi Quencher (70PHp)

Their lechon was delicious. We didn't like the lechon skin. The reg one it was too salty and then for the spicy it wasn't crunchy but other than that busog sarap!

Crispylicious thin and crunchy pork skin!
Lechon even without the customary sarsa still good in taste.
Taob ang isang kalderong kanin 128522
The pandan buko shake was ok naman in taste.
Don't forget to drop here once you are in Cebu.
As they say, the home of original lechons!

I've tasted better lechon. Skin wasn't crispy. Dined 7pm dinnertime but almost ran out of lechon. Really? No lechon for dinner??!

Will I be back? I can give it another shot next cebu trip.

Ambience 128077🏼 i would give it a thumbs up bec I didn't expect lechon place to look cozy. :)

Working in the Wedding and Events industry sure has its perks! 128513 I got invited to the thanksgiving party / product launching event of Rico's Lechon, highlighting their new loyalty program for events planners. We got to meet the man behind the name himself, Mr Enrico Dionson. We all know that in every event in Cebu, Lechon has the spotlight, and Rico's version of it is actually one of the best I have tried in the Island.

I am so glad they have branched out in Mactan already, and very near the airport as well! Their location is very convenient for those flying out wanting to bring with them the Cebuano Lechon goodness. It is also very accessible for families dining before taking a flight, or arriving in Cebu and want to have their Lechon fix immediately. Or the fact that we locals (naaaks!) do not have to go all the way to the busy City just to enjoy their Lechon! Indeed, Rico sure has thought this very well. The owners of this branch are still part of Rico's family, meaning this is not a franchise, and they will not be offering such anytime soon.

During dinner, we got to sample some of their well-loved Pinoy favorites! They first welcomed us with their signature drink, the Cucumansi Quencher, which was a blended cucumber and calamansi drink. It was really good, very refreshing!

Next we were served with the Trio of Seaweeds Salad. I'm not a big fan of the appetizer, but the locals seem to love this dish. I'm just not too used to it, that's all.

The big kaldero of white rice was then served which means the ulam dishes were just right around the corner too!

We were then served the Beef with Brocolli. This was very flavorful and the meat was very tender! Highly recommended for those looking for meat items apart from their Lechon.

What's a celebration without noodles to lengthen the happiness, right? We enjoyed their Pancit Canton, a very delicious take on the classic Tsinoy favorite!

For vegetables, we were served the Adobong Kangkong. This is was delicious! The pieces were still crisp and fresh, and well complemented with the adobo sauce and garlic bits.

We were served their signature pulutan, which was the Garlicky Squid Balls. Typically, they were just the store-bought squid balls but mind you they tasted amazing with the garlicky sauce! I have never enjoyed squid balls this much before!

I was unable to try the Kinilaw na Tangigue, but my colleague said this was really good too. I was starting to get full but I had my eye on the prize, the one served last but definitely not the least!

The plates of Lechon then came! Happy happy, joy joy! We got to sample both the original Cebu Lechon and the Spicy version. Both were so awesome! I really love their Lechon! No need for sauce as the taste of the Lechon is well pronounced already. But if you are the type of person who loves dipping their Lechon in a spicy vinegar, Rico's is the Lechon place for you because their signature sauce is just that! They even gave us each a bottle to take home!

For desserts, we were each given a cup of their Pandan Tapioca, which I also found really delicious too! It rounded up the whole feast with just the right amount of sweetness.

It was truly a meal and night to remember! I can't wait to come back and dine here again with my friends and family, and get to enjoy the exclusive perks too! Thank you, Rico's Lechon! 128571128571128571

Was soooo glad when Rico's Lechon finally opened a branch Here in Mactan. I don't have to travel that far just to follow my not-so-healthy but really yummy cravings. Haha 128514128514128514

For my first visit in this branch, I ordered the ever favorite spicy lechon, bam-i, and cucumansi quencher.

The spicy lechon was just right while the bam-i was kinda salty I have to pour some vinegar (ala pancit lucban type) just to lighten the taste. And oh, you can never go wrong with their cucumansi quencher!

Am I coming back? YES! 128077128077128077

When your in Cebu, one of your topmost priority is to try our pride, Rico's Lechon. No wonder why Kris Aquino revealed that this is indeed one of her "The Best Lechon" ever tasted. Aside from its organic, they came up with a variety of original and spicy. They also serve filipino dishes that will satisfy your appetite. The ambiance is cozy and a bit elegant. The location is just perfect to drop by before heading to your different destinations here in Cebu or heading back to your homeplace. Be sure to put it in your bucket list when in Cebu. 128077
