As a self-confessed groupon sites fan, I bought vouchers for my son's 13th birthday in Metrodeal. I've chosen Riviera Cafe after not considering it before. I've been seeing this deal for years and was ignoring because first, Heritage hotel is quite far fr where I live and second, hotel is a bit old which gives me an impression that it is not that fit for my idea of a modern buffet. But then again, the "food blogger I-want-to-explore-it" peculiarity just hit me. So there.

The cost of each voucher is considerably high. And since I used vouchers, reservation is required.

Our experience was awesome 128077128077 Staffs are attentive and assistive on our needs.

We enjoyed their food. Mostly are Filipino dishes and taste heavenly! They have array of choices. In addition, the place is cozy.

Just a little FYI, if you go there at lunchtime and their customers on that date is less than 20 tables, they'll offer a plated meal instead of having their specialties served.

Overall, we were satisfied. For voucher holders, value of money is achieved.

OYSTERS!!!!128513 love love their service. Very fast! They won't let you have a dirty plate or empty glass of tea for less than a minute. It made up for their menu. I only went for their oysters and scallops. Other than that two, the food was common. I was slightly disappointed.128532

Judging by it's name or how the place looks, I would not know that it's a buffet restaurant. Spiral, Viking's and such are already known to many but not Riviera.

They don't have much option but they cover starters to desserts, at least. The place had a fare share of delicious and just okay food.

I like the Cheese Station (photo). It was a good experience to be able to try different types of cheese. I was hoping to try Grana Padano because it's the world's best cheese according to Joe Bastianich. 128516

I also liked their Hainanese Chicken Station. It's their lead offer when you look at their website.

Food's not that great here and if you ever care to try this place. Choose your food wisely hehe 128513

Back log: family availed of their promo the past Holidays for 50% off so they only paid like 750 per person. Mom said the Heritage Hotel used to have the best buffet in town. Frankly wasn't expecting much thanks to Looloo! The variety was nice! Lots of desserts from pastries to several flavors of ice cream and toppings. Chinese section had roasted duck which was good! Then the typical soimai, spare ribs and such. Pasta and salad station lets you make your pasta just the way you like it! They had sashimi , pastrami, sausages, pizzas, etc But I had a hard time staying away from the nachos station. They had the plain corn nacho and the red type toppings included salsa, cheese, beef, tomatoes anything which you normally put on top nachos or tacos- so thats a new station to see in a buffet. Service was good. Overall food was not bad. I think the place just need a renovation in terms of interior design and bring in something new in the buffet but keep the nachos!!

Got a voucher from a group buying site for their buffet. I got it for 745 which was half of their original price. I thought it was a good deal so i bought some and decided to use it tonight. I usually read the restaurant's reviews before i try them so that i know what to expect. And according to some of the reviews I've read , Riviera Cafe was one of the pioneer and best buffet there was, but not anymore. And tonight, i found out why.. The moment I saw the buffet spread I felt very disappointed, thinking to myself "eto na yun?" Didn't even take a single photo because of my dismay. Very limited selections compared to other cheaper buffet like vikings, buffet 101, etc. considering it costs 1450. (But i got mine 50% off so i should shut up now haha) Anyway, the service was commendable, all of the employees were very attentive and hospitable. As for the food, the selection was complete from appetizers to desserts, but only have few items per section, the food.. so-so, nothing special really, some doesn't taste good at all. Not even one dish lingered in my mind. Haaaay. But all in all, it was worth the try, sobrang busog naman. I do hope these guys try to improve their buffet because they have a lot of potential.999699969996maybe ill just wait for spiral, circles or cafe ilang ilang's promo before i avail again from these group buying sites..

Honestly, food was just so-so. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my breakfast, except for being with my family.
