Yeah, the Torre de Manila building destroyed the view. Nevertheless, visiting the monument of one of the greatest hero of the monument is worth it. Wala 'yan sa view. What I know is people need to visit Rizal because during this time of active violence and several uncertainties, Filipinos really need to awaken and to live their inner Rizal in this country full of uneducated mochas. ( if you know what I mean haha okay i'll stop being political haha)

What is special about this place besides its great view is the vibrancy you will feel in this public space. Its vibrancy comes for several groups of people that visit the place. You can meet tourists around the globe, students practicing their dances, families having picnics under the shade of tall trees, workers having breaks, couples and many more. No need to worry about food because there are some vendors who sell Filipino merienda. Be sure to bring umbrellas if you decide to visit during the afternoon because the sun directly hits the place because it faces West where the sun will gradually set.

A good way to end your visit here is to have a short walk along the Manila Baywalk. Make a jumpshot like what I did! :) And yeah, please let us be the heroes the Philippines needs right now.

I have enjoyed his monument, before the so-called "Photobomber" came. The place is really scenic, make sure to take a look at different attractions such as the huge Philippine Map and the Chinese Garden.

Of all the historical landmarks in the Philippines, the Rizal monument in Luneta easily stands out as the most recognizable and most photographed.

Going there was like remembering the past and the heroic acts of not just Dr. Jose Rizal but the all Filipinos who fought for our freedom.

No entrance fees thus everyone can afford to visit the place.

Rizal Park improved a lot: from the fountain, the Philippine map, the name beside the Rizal Avenue, etc. Nice view, cool breeze. But sometimes, it is dirty.

No more vagrants and beggars, there are newly installed CCTV and roaming guards. It feels safe now to be in Rizal Park.

Kilometer zero. We used to always go here when my dad was one of the soldiers safeguarding the monument. It was always jampacked (and a little dirty), but it feels great to have a picnic once in a while and see the history of our country.

The center of Philippine Society. Literally. This place is Kilometer Zero and the grave of an all around cool dude. Dr. Jose P. Rizal. National Hero of the Philippines.
