Had their Lechon Kawali Sisig for lunch and it was "to die for"! It comes in three (though only two are pictured above) three-inch in diameter round thick patties with a single sunny-side-up quail egg on top. Must try if you are ever in Romulo's!!

Oh, and make sure you have enough plain white rice to go along with it!

It was raining yesterday so someone suggested we just eat in our office building. I thought they meant the building cafeteria at the 2nd floor (where I have not eaten since 2008 after eating there almost daily for 4 years). As I was mulling over my alternatives (CafeFrance, Starbucks, and Big Chill are also at the 2nd floor of Tower One), someone clarified that we were eating at the Romulo Lounge at the 25th floor. Oh, thank God!

I've eaten here on a few occasions before, but they didn't leave much of an impression, likely because it was work-related or I was attending a seminar and I was probably too stressed to taste the food. Which is why I was so surprised by how delicious their chicken relleno tasted and wondered why I don't come here more often. The chicken relleno is a half chicken roasted and stuffed with ground pork, raisins, chorizo, and green peas. This is good for 3 to 4 pax. I had 4 big slices of the relleno which I promptly covered in this really yummy gravy. I would probably have eaten more had I not run out of rice.

The place is open to the public, but you will have to leave an ID at the lobby. Come before 12 noon to avoid the lunch rush hour and try to get a table near the window to enjoy a view of the Makati Central Business District while dining.
