My meal wasn't really that memorable. That is not to say it wasn't good. I know that I finished both the soup and the dimsum. It's just that its nothing distinct. Of course it was just a minimal meal and I cant rate their other main courses.
What I do remember was their the only one who would allow me to dine in when all other restos refused at 30 minutes before mall closing time. And that a nice lady staff waited on me kindly with all smiles.
Well, that actually males it memorable doesn't it?

I had another opportunity once again in attending another Zomato foodie meetup that’s just nearby my area, whereas I was able to exchange conversations and food with my fellow foodies. We went to Rosanjin in SM Megamall and got to meet its Japanese owner, Mr. Jungjin Park.

Rosanjin is actually known for their bento sets, which are available in five varieties and priced at Php330 each. I’d have to say that the bento sets are of worth it since each set is a complete meal already, with soup, appetizer, entree, and fruits, and it also comes with a drink.

So I had Rosanjin’s cha-han bento, which apparently is their best seller here. It has fried chicken karaage, gyoza, and Japanese fried rice. Although the gyoza was nice, I don’t find this bento set extraordinary. The chicken was oily and tasted dull, in my opinion.

I think that their tempura, tuna, and salmon sashimi bento is better than the rest of the bento sets. For one, seafood is kind of expensive so this set is somewhat of great value.

Aside from their bento sets, I suggest that you also try out Rosanjin’s tobanyaki. With this one, they will serve you raw food, and cook if in front of you using their cooking device called “toban.” We were able to try out their Australian rib steak and their chicken cheeseyaki. I’d have to say that the rib steak is a must have, given that the beef was very tender and mouthwatering. As for the chicken cheeseyaki, it tasted plain and ordinary, and it also lacked cheese in it.

What I actually enjoyed the most from my visit here at Rosanjin is their desserts! I actually ordered all the available desserts that they have on their menu. I discovered that the Japanese doesn’t have that much variety when it comes to their sweet offerings. Rosanjin offers only three kinds of desserts, but they mostly use similar ingredients in them, such as red beans, matcha, and black sesame ice cream.

These desserts are of the perfect kind of sweetness. If you are to pick one, I suggest that you try out their ice cream tempura. Trust me, you’ll dig this one as this is not your typical sweet serving.

Their gyoza was attractive, cheap and with different filling, exciting! So when it was served, I ate my first gyoza. While I was appreciating the design of their plate, I took my chopstick and touched the plate. And then.. The design moved. YUNG IPIS NADAGANAN NG GYOZA. Huhuhu It was horrible, I wanted to cry because nakain ko na yung gyoza na nag-touch sa ipis, sad din ako(?) kasi namatay yung ipis.. We informed the waiter, as compensation, libre na nila yung Gyoza Order. WOW. 128514128534128553 #traumatic

Had a satisfying lunch at Rosanjin. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the Spicy Salmon Maki.

We had the Ceasar Salad, Chicken Teriyaki, Spicy Salmon Maki and the cold cuts platter (forgot the actual names).

Service was okay and the place looks clean. Not sure about the restrooms though.

Katsudon for 300 pesos. Came here cause ooma was soooo filled and we all wanted jap food.

I went for my usual order in a jap place which is kastudon 128074🏻

The orders came pretty quick despite them saying it would take a while.. So that was good.

Their wifi sorry to say but it really sucked. Super slow then suddenly not working at all 128513 yikes!

Well the food was a bit dry and hard, to be honest. Ummm.. The egg wasn't thin it was as if they just cracked it on top and left it there ( seen on the pic) whereas it should be evenly and thinly spread all throughout. 128513128513 i do like their miso soup though. It was flavorful and not watery! Also their pickled okra with kani was also 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻 yum! First time trying that kind of a side dish and it was delish! I wanted more ... Even if I wasn't a big fan of spicy food.

Gyoza- still prefer osaka osho 128513 but it was okay. This took a long time to serve though.

Service: it was so so... They weren't as knowledgeable. Ask them what's a salmon burger. They will say ano ... Salmon na burger. When people as you to describe a dish don't use the same exact words...

Shocked to see a lot of negative reviews about this place too when I read the previous reviews. Well I hope you guys improve.

price 4/5 food 4/5 staff 4/5 ambiance 4/5
nothing special with thier ramen. affordable price 350 for a set of ramen and gyoza. we tried their miso ramen, tonkatsu ramen, fried cheese gyoza & pork gyoza. Their ramen has a lot of toge, onion springs and leeks, and the chashu has a thick fat. I would prefer the ramen and gyoza in ramen yoshuken if you are looking for more authentic japanese taste. Maybe their best seller are the pan grilled meat and seafood

Milky Ujikintoki

If we Pinoys have Halo-halo and Koreans have Bingsu, then Japanese also have their own version of a shaved ice dessert. It's called kakigori / ujikintoki.

This Japanese shaved ice dessert offered by Rosanjin has sweetened adzuki beans (red beans), mochi balls and topped with matcha/green tea flavored ice cream and milk.

I love how the red beans, matcha ice cream and milk completed with one another. It's tasty and refreshing. However, the dessert would have been better, if only the mochi balls were chewable. Anyway, I still liked it.

Will I purchase one again? Hmmm. Not at the moment.

First time to to try. Would suggest getting the their ramen set to get a discount on their gyoza. :)

Ramen was flavorful but not as rich as the others.

My brother wanted rice and I wanted noodles so I have no choice but to eat in a Japanese resto where they serve both rice meals and ramen. Everything we ordered from their chicken (I forgot the name, sorry!) to their tofu with soft beef was good. Loved their salmon and mackerel sushi because it's cheap hehe. Their ramen was baaaaad. 128557 well, good thing I didn't expect that much but the pork inside the ramen was very delicious! So in the end, okay lang. HAHAHA. Ohh I forgot we also ordered shrimp tempura and it was.. Haay never mind. 128513

First time eating here and I read reviews of how mundane it was but still I went for it. Ordered the Australian Rib Steak Tobanyaki I thought it was gonna have a big serving but it did not so that was quite a disappointment the sauce though! Some said it was nothing special but it was to me! The wine-based sauce was like what my grandma use to make in China so it had a nostalgic feeling for me. And i don't know why but I liked their iced tea 128517

I ordered the Spicy Miso Pork. I enjoyed the personal burner, that was fun! but the taste was a bit bland, no spice at all. My sister ordered the burger, it tasted like spaghetti sauce :/

Passed by this restaurant along Mega Fashion Hall strip of new restaurants. Just looking for a light dinner after a yoga class.

What we tried was according to the waitress their best seller, the Australian Rib Steak Tobanyaki. Tobanyaki is cooking the food on a clay type pan and let the heat cook the food by covering it for around 7-10 mins. The rib steak was not chewy and was tender, although the taste and sauce that goes with it has nothing special (well i guess how the food is being served was the catch). We also tried the Alaskan Roll which has salmon, cheese and abocado. This actually tastes good and i would recommend it if you visit this place, but you have to ask for wasabi as they do not serve it with the roll. We also ordered a Yellow Mango shake but the shake was not that sweet.

Look at that bowl of rice. Looks like puto. I don't think they used Japanese rice for this gyudon. Service is slooooow. They served the california maki without the wasabi. Took about 4x to follow up on the wasabi. Dont think I'm going back here. 128078🏼
