My new found fave resto!

I do love the views overlooking the Manila bay along with the Ferris Wheel.

I love their mushroom risotto and their pumpkin soup with truffle oil! The soup was such a winner! They aren't "tipid" with the amount of truffle oil they put in that soup! I super love the flavors and I would come back for more of that soup!

I gave 4 stars because one of the dishes I ordered wasn't that wow. I found it to be quite " malansa". That was the seafood dish in red sauce can't quite remember the name anymore but it had crab and shrimp on it.

The staff service was superb. They know the menu well and they were super attentive.

Terrible pasta! Dry, soggy and bland. Angel hair was pasty even! Best thing I had was the fried seafood,,, which is 128530 deep fried and tbh,,actually mediocre. Risotto took longer than what said and was of course overcooked too. Carbonara was something a kid would like but even my 11year old niece knew it was so-so. The ravioli is okay but still wouldn't recommend going here unless you have no choice at S Maison anymore. 🤣

We had a family dinner here at Rossini to celebrate the New Year. It wasn't my first time to eat here, as we were able to try this place out a couple of months ago and it seemed as though the quality of food and service went down - definitely liked my first visit better.

All the tables were served with pizza, pasta, mushroom risotto, and a choice of mains between pork, salmon with prawns, and I think the last choice was prawns.

The pizza was the only thing I truly enjoyed tbh. All the other food were just okay - for the quality of food that was served, it was really not worth the price, in my opiniom. The pork was really hard and a bit bland, and some of my relatives even complained about it. The other 2 mains fared better at least.

Service was also not that good either. Still, I guess this may be because we were a huge group (we had the place all to ourself), and maybe the servers, and even the chefs, aren't used to having so much workload.

Being an out of the blue choice, Rossini made me wonder what I was in store for when we first entered the restaurant. It was almost 6pm, and there werent any customers at that time, so we were able to get a nice table, overlooking the wonderful sunset of Manila bay. So lucky!

As always, I have a hard time ordering whenever there's a lack of photos in a restaurant's menu, so I just asked their waiter for their recommendations. He was well-knowledged and quickly suggested the crab meat and shrimp pasta in tomato sauce. After that, we also ordered the Risotto Rossini, Ravioli Tartufo, Parma Ham and Arugula Pizza, and Mango Jubilee.

After taking several photos of the view and finishing our bread, our pizza finally arrived. I love how Italian pizzas are thin crusted, and how cheesy the pizza we ordered was. We all loved the combination of parma ham and arugula. I loved this pizza! So hearty.

Then the pastas arrived. I will make this short, sad to say, I didnt enjoy the crab meat and shrimp pasta at all. It was too salty for me. The risotto had foie gras and truffles in it. It tasted good, and serving is great, but it was a little bit oily for us, and the foie gras had a similar texture to that of a tofu's. This is because it was steamed, not seared. The ravioli tartufo, however, was better. I liked it, it smelled good, and tasted good, it had the right amound of bitterness to it. But I think it still is lacking something! I wish it had more sauce to it, it's a bit dry for me. I really wanted to love it though. Maybe I shouldve ordered something else?

After all that, I made sure we were getting dessert to wash all that away! We got the mango jubilee, which was prepared in front of us. How very nice to watch and exciting!! The flambé-ing part was my favorite. It was a mixture of oranges and mangoes topped on their very delicious vanilla bean ice cream. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. It was sweet, but I'm not complaining as I really loved it!!

Hmmm, overall, not bad for a first timer, servers were very attentive to our needs and treated us well. Serving was really big considering the price point. Might be pricey but it's worth the try. Make sure you get a nice table with a view!!!

Tried this newly opened Italian Resto located in S'Maison , Conrad Hotel, SM MOA. The front portion of the resto is well lit with a fully stocked bar, with different alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

We ordered different set of their father's day menu. The appetizer was Melanzane alla Parmigiana ( eggplant baked with parmesan cheese ) or Insalata Caesar, romaine lettuce and croutons with classic Caesar dressing.
The Primo was either Spaghetti alla Amatriciana (spaghetti with bacon, tomato sauce and pecorino cheese) or Ravioli Ricotta e Spinachi (pasta shells filled with Ricotta cheese, Spinach and walnuts)...the spaghetti was al dente tomato sauce was freshly made, with a nice fragrance from the tomatoes..Ravioli was firm and tasty.
Secondo was Veal Ossobuco Piemontese (slow cooked tender veal shank in a rich white wine and tomato sauce. The meat was tender, flavorful. The chef told me that instead of making the traditional garlicky taste, he opted for an orange and lemon twist, I found the orange flavor too strong and a little bitter, due to cooking orange with its skin on. Did not taste the lemon.
Dolce was served with coffee or tea. It was a choice between Gelato or Tiramiso.
It was a nice occasion to chat with the German owner and the French chef. Both are resident here.
Cost per head PHP1,650+
