I ordered the tantanmen ramen , i think the serving of the ramen noodles is quite small with relation to the big size of the bowl and the soup was overflowing. By the time i consumed all the noodles there are lots of soup left... Taste was ok given its quite spicy.
The staff are very attentive though.

Just the perfect curry spice.

My friend hasn't tried ramen yet, and she loves curry, and I guess this is the right place to be.

We ordered the Ryu Ramen, which is ramen with curry sauce, pork slices, and egg. Spicy and hot! It's a big bowl, enough for sharing. And the pork slices were very tasty. I don't know how to describe it, but I liked how it's cook to the soft feeling. It doesn't feel... fatty. Haha.

Next is the beef tendon curry. This one's a rice meal with essentially beef with curry sauce (parang afritada, pero curry! Hahahaha). They used japanese sticky rice. The beef is very tender and cut into small, bite sizes. The curry sauce has that perfect texture - unlike in Curry house at Estancia where it's almost sabaw.

all in all, it's a great food place. Food's averaging at 200-300 pesos. I think that's a great deal.

First time to try their Ryu Ramen Curry and it was good. Of course, it tasted like curry and it had medium level of spice. There was nothing too spectacular about their ramen but the broth was far better than Ramen Nagi's (in my opinion). Price and service is good too!

I ordered Tantanmen (P310) with a mild preference as to its spiciness. I like spicy foods but just to the extent that I'll be able to eat it. I was expecting its mild spiciness to be really spicy already like the ramen I've tried in Maginhawa (Caution Hot) but it wasn't. I should've ordered Hot or Very Hot to have that really spicy feel but the ramen was delicious nonetheless. Their serving size is good for one full tummy or for two with enough space for another dish.

I also tried their Katsucheese Curry (P310) which is a curry rice with breaded pork cutlet and cheese sauce. It was just so-so, nothing special.

Their service was also pretty slow. Once your food gets served, you'll be waiting years for your additional requests like napkin, water refill or extra something.

Independence Day 2015 lunch at Ryu Ramen and Curry UPTC. First time here at UPTC branch. We tried their tomas morato and the SM jazz branch. Hubby was craving for their ramen127836

Hubby, my daughter and i got ramen. The two got the best seller tantanramen because they love spicy but i explore so i tried their Shoyu but i think i should stick na lang with tantanramen. Ramen cost around 300 pesos. My son ordered the tonkatsu curry which is their best seller too127857

Service was fast128077

Ordered Classic Tantanmen and Chashu ramen!! Classic Tantanmen was rich and heavy, and slightly spicy (per request). Not for those who easily get umay-ed. Chashu was so good; two levels lower than Ippudo's. The pork slices were tender. Servings are relatively huge, good for one person (who will get full)

Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 4.5/5

Katsucheese Curry (PHP 310)
The katsu was hard to chew 128555 but the cheese made it all up for it (I'm a "cheesefan" btw 128514) And the curry's taste was great. It had the right amount of spiciness compared with the one that was ordered by my friends 128514128514 (I think it was ramen?)

Ordered the following
-tantanmen (mild)
-gyoza pan fried (pork)

For the record, it was ok but not necessarily mean it's bad. I tried the tantamen and the spiciness was quite strong and it needs more peanut taste.

On the plus side, i like the richness of the soup and the noodles was also okay.

Gyoza was chunkier than the usual.

So should i return? I think it is still an option when you want to eat somewhere. 128513

We went here after Sunday mass because we were all craving a bowl of piping hot ramen. When we were placing our orders, the waitress said that they can only serve last 4 bowls of ramen. They said they ran out of noodles already. My mom and my sister decided to get Katsudon (P210) instead. It was okay. It was topped with strips of nori to give it more flavor.

I got a bowl of their Shoyu Ramen (P300) and I liked it. The broth was flavorful while the noodles were firm. We didn't have to order the tamago separately which was good. We got an order of their Ebi Tempura (P300). For 5 pieces of huge and crunchy tiger prawn, it was definitely worth the price tag. My dad and brother each got the Classic Tantanmen (P310) and they both said it was good. Since they were already sweating because of the spicy broth, we asked the waitress if they can lower the aircon's temperature. We all noticed that it has been quite hot since we entered. We then found out that there was something wrong with the aircondition unit that's why it was just on fan mode. Hassle! Overall, the experience wasn't all that great. Food's okay but I hope they improve the facilities and availability of the ramen because duh, they're a ramen bar. Lol

Yesterday, I was given the chance to meet up with one of my friends since we haven't seen each other for a year and we had a lot of catching up to do.
I decided to try out Ryu Ramen since I was craving for some 127836 and it was raining during the afternoon.

✔️ the food was just alright. In all honesty, I actually preferred Ramen X. I felt that the ramen they serve is not enough to satisfy your tummy.

✔️ interior had that japanese feels so I felt like I was in Japan 128514. Kulang nalang yung wine (joke)

✔️ staff were friendly and accomodating. They made sure our orders arrived on time. My friend and I were just having a warm up conversation then bigla nalang dumating orders namin so it's all good 128077

❌ I didn't like the prices 128542. It was pricey when looking at the size of the ramen. Yes they had a big bowl but when you actually start to eat it, there were only a few in it.

Location wise and service were amazing. They just need to fix the food that is being served to customers. 128077

Piping-hot spicy Karubi ramen (#3 on the menu) on a sunny day - eating it feels like doing cardio with all the sweat you'll produce after. The broth tastes as spicy as it looks but lacks flavor. Same goes with the beef - tender but needs more flavor. If you've tried the other "legit" ramen places, you'd be disappointed with Ryu's ramen so better stick with the rice meals instead.

I went here for a late lunch on a weekday..
Pleasant food attendants
Food was served quick and hot
Ramen was good
But I was expecting for something more, maybe something that the other ramen houses doesn't offer... I should go back again

Reasonably priced (for the size of the bowls, Php310-340 per bowl wasn't bad)...seats could be more comfortable (though they weren't really bad)...wait staff quite helpful and pleasant... The chosu (pork) ramen was not the specialty of the house but was okay. Soup tasted of soy versus a rich pork broth. The pork slices were soft and tasty, though, egg cooked to perfection, veggies nice and fresh...ramen, average.

My friend tried #3 ramen on the menu (I forget what it's called but supposedly one of the specialties of the house). It was spicy but he opted to remove the pork slices and the spicy ground pork bits (since he doesn't eat meat much). He finished off his bowl pretty quickly so I suppose it was good :)

We had edamame (Php100 for a plateful of it wasn't bad at all). Perfectly salted and cooked.

The rice tea was not exceptional but soothing.

Will go back and try other ramen next time.

Wasn't in the mood for ramen so I ordered their toridon instead. It's chicken teriyaki with some vegetables on top of rice. The chicken was tender and the teriyaki sauce's flavor was just right. Not too sweet, which is perfect.

Service was good because it's an hour before closing time and there were only a handful of diners.

I liked the Tantanmen with Karaage. Serving was really filling, soup is flavorful but a bit hot for my taste ( I ordered for the mild one), the karaage was tasty and juicy. I find the noodles a bit soggy though.

The Miso Ramen tastes good too! 128077

Finally had a chance to go around U.P. Town center. We checked almost all of the restos there and Ryu was full of people so we gave it a try.

Ordered the Gumoku Ramen coz' I was craving for some seafood. I think it was okay. It lack a bit of flavor and had tiny servings of 127844shrimp and squid128025. They served it real quick. I also ordered the mix iced tea 127865and it was super sweet so I had to add some water.
