Food: 4/10 The only food we order here is their Creamy Bulalo steak. I must say that we got very disappointed today for their food.
Staff and Service: 1/10 We have never seen the service crew smile, say thank you or react. Smiling is free btw.
Ambiance: 8/10

Overall Rating:
We got to dine in today at Sage as we were craving for their Creamy Bulalo Steak and sadly we got very disappointed. The meat and their so called creamy sauce was bland. I got an okay cut of meat so it wasn't that much hard to chew, on the other hand my mom's meat was hard to chew. Like she couldn't even poke the meat w/o the fork actually sinking in it. She asked nicely if they had the meat pressure cooked and they said yes. The waitress poked the meat herself and understood my mom's dilemma.

We then waited for 10 minutes and they served the same dish with a different meat. My mom started slicing it and it was still hard to chew, nothing changed. "Parang rubber band ang tigas", she said as she took a bite of the dish. The servers didn't apologized at all, they just looked at us and asked us if we want it to be redone. My mom declined and they just looked at us as if we were ghosts.

My mom was hungry so she ordered some halo-halo, at first they wanted to place mango flavored ice cream. I'm sorry but who does that? We asked for some ube ice cream instead and they had some naman. The halo-halo was too sweet, I think the syrup from the canned kaong and langka were added too. They said there was some saba but we there was none and we had to ask some ice to lessen the sweetness.

When we asked for our bill they still charged us for the rubberband bulalo steak, we questioned them and they didn't seem to be surprised about their mistake. Before we left the waitress who served us passed by and didn't even bother to say anything. A simple thank you and sorry from them would suffice but you can have that. Sorry but we'd rather enjoy a good quality dish and warm service rather than your vibrant resto. Have a good day night everyone.

Sage is more a cafe than a restaurant. It looks so...dessert-y. The facade and interior design makes me fee like I'm in a sweet house. Haha. Food's great. Huge servings for both the Beef Tenderloin and the Honey Lemon Chicken Breast Fillet. For dessert, you can choose from various cheesecake (ube, strawberry, cookies and cream, red velvet, blueberry, etc) though we had the coffee. It was a little dry, but tastes okay. 4 stars for the entree

The only reason why dine here is because of their Bulalo Steak. It's the perfect blend of your not so typical Bulalo with gravy. The place and ambiance is nice, the parking area sucks. The staff aren't that eager or friendly, except when you're gonna pay the bill are they eager.

When you think of the word sage, or rosemary, thyme, basil, mint, or any leafy herb, and the smell they bring forth, you envision yourself riding a bike through a road of fields of tall blades of grass in the springtime, or just sitting down on a white rocking chair sipping on sweet tea enjoying the season's new bloom. Springtime is fresh, fragrant and brand new. This is what Sage offers when walking inside the place. When entering, it feels like you're under a gazebo when seeing the trellises surrounded by warm colors and flowers giving you a sense of warmth.

Sage serves an array of dishes that does remind me of spring. One of which is their Shrimp Pomelo w/ Sesame Dressing. It's light, tangy, sweet, crisp and overall refreshing. This is one of my favorites on the menu.

Their main best seller is the Creamy Bulalo Steak. It's beef shank simmered Bulalo style covered in gravy, served with two little scoops of mashed potatoes and a side of buttered vegetables. This was a good dish.

The beef was well executed. It was fork tender and very flavorful. The gravy nothing over the ordinary, but it was a good compliment to the steak.

The mashed potatoes were a bit too dry for me. It didn't bring forth a velvety texture, and a buttery taste that I always look for in mashed potatoes.

I very much enjoyed this dish. The serving was perfect to where I still had room for dessert. 128513

But the piece de résistance that topped off my meal was their Mango Tapioca. I can't covey on how good this dessert is. The custard was perfectly sweetened. It was rich, creamy and velvety. The mango purée gave it a more refreshing taste. It was a delightful.

Altogether, Sage is a solid restaurant. For those who plan to visit Baguio, but would like to stay away from town to have a quiet meal, this is the place for you.

Happy eating!!!

Went here during a vacation in Baguio and I absolutely went nuts over their Creamy Bulalo Steak (in the photo). The steak was fall off the bone and the bone marrow was perfect. The serving was big and price is reasonable. Their Gambas Y Champinon and Basil Shrimp Pasta were delicious too! Absolutely a must-visit when in Baguio. 128004128077🏼

PS. The interior is a bit too feminine for male customers, but cmon, its BULALO STEAK we're talking about here. 128004128004128004

Hv another new project near the said joint & had snacks with the whole entourage , didn't know that this using little place serves kick ass sandwiches ... As usual , we tried all the house specialty

Chicken sandwich is a must try, beef mushroom is another good options , kimchi dog is my fave since I love anything spicy , croquet Madame is well enjoyed as well & blt, I was eyeing the beef nachos with drooling eyes but I don't think there's anymore space left for that ... Maybe on my next trips 128518

The most lovely 128150/ kikay 127800 restaurant in Baguio. IMO. Make sure to visit this one!128525 Upon browsing my "pending post", I was surprised to see that I haven't posted Sage yet.128517

• PLACE
- If you're a type of person that like a fancy shmancy girly yet homey place, then this is the place to be! 128077 The restaurant has a pretty themed place with classy interiors and clean restroom. I'm telling you this place is so preyteeeh! 128525

• SERVICE
- Excellent. Really friendly and made sure that we had a great time. They served infused water with mint and orange to spiced up your drink as you sit down. 128079

• FOOD and PRICE
Crunchy Sesame Wings with Honey Mustard Sauce (140 pesos) -I was curious to see this one on their menu since sesame seeds and wingies combined altogether. But to my surprised, it actually worked! 128523128079

Shrimp in Pesto (180 pesos) It may seemed like a simple dish but the simplicity wowed me even more. You can taste the prominent pesto flavor even without the usual green color. The shrimps were huge and plump as well. (Plus the delicious garlic bread too!) 128525

- Creamy Bulalo Steak (260 pesos)- I expected it to be served saucy but it was covered in a thick mushroom sauce. Served with mashed potato and huge soft chunks of beef. But the presentation of the veggies on the side can be improved right? 128517

- Ice Craze (60 pesos) - we were planning to buy cake but I got curious when I saw kids from the other table enjoying this treat. It's actually a shaved ice with flavoring (we choose cotton candy) then sprinkled with candies and mallow. It was just okay to us, I bit sweet for our liking. 128518 But I guess that's the reason why kids from the other table enjoyed it terribly. hehe. 128517

A perfect cozy place to eat. Will definitely visit this place again once we go back! 128522

If you are looking for a healthy, yummy and affordable place to eat, I would highly recommend Sage. It is located along Military Cut-Off Road, near 50's Diner and a few meters away from Forest House.

We ordered shrimp pomelo salad with sesame dressing, creamy bulalo steak (an excellent choice) and salmon picatta. All were tastefully prepared and the portions were good for sharing. They served lemon water and they had options for shakes and drinks from fresh fruits.

The place was cozy and lovely, the service was great and the staff were friendly.

Shepherd's pie and a tall glass of kiwi smoothie already makes a hearty meal with a friend or two, specially during a rainy evening

Getting lost was well worth it because the food and ambiance is amazeballs!

For P250-P300, you get a generous serving of your meat dish with rice/veggies/mashed potato 128522

The specialty are the bulalo steak and their baby back ribs. Both of wish I loved...tender, fall off the bone and well seasoned 128077128513128055

Next time we go up to Baguio, let's get lost again, Sir Richie R 128522
