Mom invited me to join her and my dad for lunch again before I continue working from home today. Instead of ordering from the Thai restaurant where they were eating, I asked if I can cross-order food from Sakura and their staff said it's okay. YAY!

I've been curious about their food because I heard they serve awesome Japanese food. Excited to try it for the first time today.

It's another sushi day for me. Been eating sushi/ maki for two consecutive days now. 128514 I asked their staff which ones didn't have raw fillings to make it easier for me to order. I ordered a Sakura Futomaki and Aburi Tamago Nigiri. Loved the torched Tamago Nigiri! 128525 The tamago was smooth, fluffy and light, enhanced by a mildy sweet sauce. Each order has two pieces, but I wish I ordered more. You have an option to have it served the traditional way. The Sakura Futomaki was also delicious. The thick roll was filled with tamago, ebi tempura, avocado, kani, and japanese cucumber, drizzled with wasabi mayo. Flavors were clean and fresh. It didn't have any fishy taste at all. I used to hate the aftertaste of nori too. But this one, no weird aftertaste. You'll know their ingredients were of high quality. 128077🏼

I'm gonna be back for sure! Food was a bit pricey but I won't mind paying a little extra for a great meal. I wanna try their bestseller, the Edo-San Maki (cream cheese, kani, avocado, cucumber, tobiko, anago with shrimp on top) next time. I was hesitant to order it earlier because it was so expensive (P1000+/order) and I might not like it. 128517

We ate lunch at Edo San by Sakura today. We ordered their Lunch Buffet. The price of their Lunch Buffer is a bit expensive. But their Japanese food in the buffet are good.

It is not hard to get a parking at Alphaland City Club. But you have to be a member in order to enter the Alphaland City Club.

Craved for Sakura for lunch. Had the following: Dragon Maki (P600), Edo San Maki (P672), Ebi Tempura (P700), Gohan (P100), and Miso (P134). The place never disappoints with its accommodating servers and delectable dishes. The Maki's alone will make you full. Never tried other Maki's because as the saying goes why fix something that ain't broke. It amazes this reviewer as to how they consistently keep the quality of their food so exceptional. Yes the place is pricy but their operations and products are just flawless. Authentic Japanese food that can be enjoyed again and again. Been there more than twice already and everything is still tasty. Such as life, after climbing a mountain then you get rewarded with a stunning view. With Sakura, after braving the traffic in Edsa, hassles of walking to the elevator the rewards of biting their complimentary salad/Japanese popcorn then one can enjoy your favorite Maki...heavenly!128076

Sure, it may look like it's got too much going on but trust me, the Edo San Maki will blow your mind. It is cream cheese, avocado, kani and eel deep fried in tempura batter and topped off with shrimp and caviar. This maki is so rich in taste and flavor that even if you put it in your mouth as a whole, each bite brings about a new experience. 10084️ It is quite pricey at P795/5pcs but for the ingredients used, I'd say it's pretty reasonable.

This restaurant is hidden in Alphaland Southgate, you would actually never expect that there would even be a restaurant in the building considering it's mostly offices in the building but I guess since the first branch is in Balesin, the chef may have wanted to retain the feeling of exclusivity.

The staff are also quite nice and friendly though they didn't seem to be very knowledgable about the menu and had to keep asking each other the questions we asked them! That's okay though, maybe the staff was just new? Who knows! Hopefully that improves! They were very accommodating though. The area was a little dark and the music was loud but when I asked for more lights to be turned on, and the music to be turned down... They didn't mind at all and quickly obliged!

I would definitely visit this restaurant again!

Reiz T and I shared an order of assorted sashimi -- salmon, tuna, sweet shrimp, hamachi, and uni. They were really fresh. We also got to try these scallops with mushrooms served inside a large scallop shell warmed by a tealight candle underneath. It was tasty and presented well. I didn't get to try anything else as this was a business meeting. Such a shame really since this place appears to be for members only, and I'm not one. It'll probably be some time before I come back here again.
