Sam Won is a relatively nice place with decent food, but nothing about it stood out to my husband and I. They did have free sides, since of which were quite tasty, but they only offer one free refill. We haven't been back since our first visit, since there are so many other Korean options to try around here.

Food was OK. I have seen quite a few reviews saying it was best Korean in BF Homes Paranaque. Not so. Bi Won is much better. This was the first Korean restaurant I have been to and they asked to pay for extra side dishes. Will not return as there are so many better choices around.

Authentic Korean experience , a bit pricey than the rest in aguirre. Would love to go back if the side dishes would be refillable just like in Korea. But they serve great tasting Samgyetang

Sam won is really10084️ for me 128513 been craving for kbbq so we decided to have early dinner here last night.
Ordered one bibimbap and one order each of pork and beef belly. They use real, white hot coals so the meat cooks very quickly. While eating I felt that it was gonna be bitin so we ordered one more beef belly and extra plain rice, hihi!
Everything was great as usual. The server cooks and serves the meat for you so you just eat and eat.
Total bill was php1390 but since I had already accumulated a lot of points on my card, I got a 500 peso discount! Yahoo!

Korean night 🇰🇷9996

Ever since highschool, i've always wanted to eat here hahaha. Finally, after 5 years, we were finally able to eat here tonight!!!!! 128588128131

Ordered the pork short ribs, chicken bbq and beef belly. The meat were all very tender, juice and super tasty! They were all yummmmmy! Very sulit!!!!!! 128069128077 The side dish/appetizers were all okay. The potato, kimchi and the salad were our favorite 128076

Servers weren't that nice, tho. Maybe tired? 128527 but the Korean owner was really really nice, friendly and helpful. 128513128076

PS. Be sure you're not going anywhere after eating here because amoy barbeque ka after 128586 haha

Korean night with classmates right after our grade consultation.

We ordered 4 different meat sets (Beef Short Ribs, Pork Belly and etc.) and two soups (Spicy Beef Soup and Seafood Hot Pot). Every meal was delightful!! Although the downside is that they dont offer unlimited side dishes and baskets of fresh lettuce :( but the grilled meat and the soups made up for it 128077

Had a quick Korean dinner with my sister and the wifey.
Best part... Younger sister paid for dinner! Yay!!!
We were at the south and my sister was craving Korean do she said let's try Sam won. Noticed so many korean BBQ joints and the parking was full outside. Good sign.
Sister ordered 4 kinds of BBQ which was beef short ribs, pork short ribs, beef belly and pork belly she also ordered an extra bibimbap.
My favorite was the beef short ribs! But everything was great.
Will definitely be back!

Love their grilled meat. You'd end up smelling like grilled food though. Food is a bit pricey compared to other korean restaurants in tge area

Ate at Sam Won's today. I am not really fond of Korean food but I am fond of free food.

It was a meat fest! We got to cook pork, beef and chicken.

Nothing particularly spectacular about this restaurant (or in marketing terms the restaurant had no unique selling proposition).

But I cannot deny that I enjoyed the meal and the restaurant's atmosphere. I would not be going back here out of my own free will due to personal preference but anyone who loves Korean food and lives around BF homes should definitely try it.

It serves its purpose as a place for a decent meal at a fair price with a relaxed atmosphere.

Me and my bestfriend decided to go on a sumptuous Korean kind of dinner at Aguirre. We found authenticity on the ambiance of Sam Won and decided to have our dinner here. The place has the 'normal dining table' setup and the 'indian sit' setup that we usually find in Korean/Japanese restaurants.

Unlike other famous Korean restaurants, Sam Won doesn't offer unlimited dishes, even their side dishes. They serve a total of 8 side dishes including the fresh lettuce and kimchi.

We ordered Usamgyup, Galbi, Daegi Galbi for grilling and Bibimbap for our rice. Yeah right, we were just two girls eating this bunch of korean food! I personally love Galbi (Beef Ribs). It was tender and juicy. I can eat it without even adding sauce.

Customers should at least order 2 servings of meat in order to use the grill on their respective table otherwise, the staff will serve the meat already cooked from their kitchen.

Overall, our experience was great! From food choices to accommodating staff and ambience of the restaurant. Though, we prefer an eat-all-you-can whatever than the usual ala carte Korean restaurant next time because it's more sulit to eat all the meat or side dishes you want and be satisfied at a fixed price (eat-all-you-can price) than to order ala carte dishes and be disappointed on a pricy dish you just wanted to try.

Korean night!

I'm not really one to judge when it comes to Korean restaurants cause for me, they're all the same. 128514 But all of us were suddenly craving Korean food one night so we decided to eat at Sam Won for dinner. When we got there, we had to take off our shoes and sit down on the floor for a change! 128517

So you order the type of meat you like and you get to cook it! We didn't know how to cook ours so we asked one of the waitresses to do it, which she gladly did! I forgot what types of beef we ordered, I think it was the beef short ribs and bulgogi. The short ribs were good! The bulgogi however turned out to be too hard to chew 128553

We enjoyed the Pajeon, their Korean pancake, as well as the spicy beef soup!

What I love about Korean restaurants? Lots and lots of sides! 128076 We had to order two mains to get two sets of sides. I loved the kimchi and potatoes and pickled vegetables and even if I didn't know what the others were, I just kept on getting everything. 128514 I wish they gave out unlimited sides though like other restaurants I've been to. That would be perfect!

My best-friend and I were talking about Korean restaurants the other day and it made us crave for kbbq and bibimbap! We were in search for affordable and Legit Korean restaurant. We were supposed to eat at Jang Ga Nae but we couldn't find the restaurant at first. We saw Jang Ga Rae but weren't sure if it's the same with Jang Ga Nae. Then we saw "Sam Won" restaurant and it looked legit. There were were low chairs and you can "Indian Sit" and there were Koreans there. We just looked at the menu and left the place for a while and we went to Jang Ga Rae to check their menu. We ended up at Sam Won because of the Korean ambiance :D

We ordered Grilled Beef Short Ribs, Grilled Pork Short Ribs, and Grilled Beef Belly, and Bibimbap.

I recommend the beefs that I just mentioned here. As for the pork, it's very tasty so it's up to you if you want to try it. Their Bibimbap is good. Just like other Korean restaurants. I think they taste the same :)

I suggest you just order Modeumgui or the mixed meat because it is composed of 3 kinds of meats. We ordered 2 at first and it was "bitin " so we ordered additional meat.

They served Cold Barlon Tea first. I asked if they have hot tea and they said it's additional P40.

For their side dishes, they weren't unlimited. I was expecting that the side dishes would be unlimited but it was okay for me since I don't eat Kimchi. According to my best friend, their Kimchi is not that good. Anyway we were so full that we walked from Sam Won to Southville! Oh calories :)) that was 3.2km!

If you order meat, to be able to cook the meat on the griller in front of you, at least 2 kinds of meat must be ordered because if you order just one kind of meat, they will serve the meat cooked.

They served lots of lettuce by the way :)

So far, the best Korean Restaurant for me is Bulgogi Brothers but it's so pricy.

I think that Eating in any Korean Restaurants will cost you a lot so expect the price to be high. It's normal. Maybe 250-500 or more per each variety such as meat, bibimbap, soup or whatever.

It was the first time that I ate in a Korean Restaurant where their waitress cooked the meat for us. Usually, we cook the meat ourselves. Maybe in other restaurants too it's optional but it's not automatically like that.

I left my phone here and good thing We walked and passed by a Korean store and bought Ice cream. We were about to take a photo of our ice cream and I noticed that my phone was missing. We went back for it and the owner mentioned my phone and returned it to me. Oh thank God!! :)) That's a plus for me. Honesty is the best policy! No kidding! :)

Will I come back? Maybe, if you treat me :)) why not?!

Loooooooveeeee eeeeeet! I never thought Korean food could be this good. I WAS not a fan. Actually I hated it! But whoa... This place is just... Damn. I knew these place way before but I didn't bother paying it a visit at all for a couple of reason: Firstly, the facade of the restaurant is not very welcoming. Secondly, and I will repeat, I HATED KOREAN FOOD, hated kimchi, etc. Lesson: Don't judge the book by its cover and everyone deserves a second chance. Hahaha! Cliche but true. We ordered the beef set and someone from the restaurant will cook it on the grill on the spot for you to make sure the meat are cooked real good. The interiors are nothing fancy but in this case you wont mind. Will definitely go back here. Woot woot!🇰🇷

Been coming here for years for my staple korean food. They are usually packed because it is one of the authentic korean restaurants in BF. They have good bibimbap. Actually, most of the food in their menu is good. The only thing that's probably a turn off is they don't have unlimited side dishes. Also, when you don't know how to eat korean food they sometimes neglect to give you 'pa much in' with your Sam gyup sal and woo samgyup. If you want to grill in your table, you need to order 2 or they just cook the meat in the kitchen. When eating here, you should also ask for 'kennip' (sesame leaf). It gives an added flavor for your Sam gyup sal. You can usually get it in most authentic korean restaurants. A dinner for 2 will be around 700-1000.

Ate here with my girlfriends. The three of us split two plates of meat and a pot of soup. I've unfortunately forgotten the names of everything we ordered. 128531

We chose to grill the meat ourselves and ended up burning a lot of it hahaha

There were a lot of side dishes, some I liked better than others. I liked the baby potatoes and dilis and some kind of flat noodle-like thing.

I think that because there were 3 of us, we should have at least been given free refills of the side dishes! If we all ordered separately then we'd get one set each. HUHU (i wanted more potatoes hahahha)

This place was what converted me to love korean food even more 🇰🇷. Honestly, it was my first time to try an authentic korean restaurant and I was impressed with how delicious their food was even though the place itself looked a bit run-down.

My favorites were the dolsot bibimbab (best one I've tried so far!!10084️) and the japchae. I also got to try this dish called Tteokbokki which looked weird but was surprisingly delicious. It had noodles, vegetables, and chewy rice cakes in a spicy broth. But what I loved most though were the free different side dishes served as appetizers, though I wish servings were unlimited128513
