Nothing remarkable, but nothing bad either. Have to comment on the shape of the maki though; I've never seen it rolled that way before haha! I want to go back and try the Spam Musubi.

With my ex-boss and his colleague who study Japanese. So I recommended to them this place, i guess they'd love it the way i do. Especially the Spam Sushi. 127843127835127865127833

I loovvveee SPAM so obviously I ordered the Spam Musubi. Out of the items we ordered from different restaurants inside the compound, I love the Spam Musubi the most. Of course, because one can never go wrong with Spam. The service was ok, our order came fast but I wish the servers would smile more.

Was hearing this "Z Compound" lately from my foodie friends, my cousin and I got curious so we decided to try it last night. We got lost pa on our way there haha it's near Breakfast & Pies pala. We were kind of shocked when we got to the place, it was really crowded last night and people come and go. We then decided to try Samu Eats. We ordered Seafood Ramen (with chili oil) - 220php, Tonkatsu Bento - 180php and California Maki - 99php. My oh my! The Cali Maki was freshly-made! You can really taste it. I didn't like the ramen tho but my cousin loved it. The Tonkatsu's more like Tokyo-Tokyo's. For our drinks, we ordered Avocado Shake - 70php from Chamba Juice hahaha funny right? All in all, the food was great, and yes, the prices are pocket-friendly! We saw Elmo Magalona and Martin del Rosario there too (not a fan tho haha)

Ordered one of their best sellers - spam musubi.

It tasted okay, because you can never go wrong with spam haha. What I'm griping about is the sloooooow service. We had nearly finished the food we got from another resto in the area before our food from here came out. And to think, we ordered here first! Everything else including service water, the bill, took ages to come out. I'm just glad I didn't order more than one dish. Overall, this makes me a bit skeptical to try more of their food.

Chicken katsu for P120. Affordable and the chicken was good. Sauce was perfect. Lots of rice so I got full from the meal. Cabbage was kind of fresh, I guess. I'm sort of biased of places near my place but still, cheap for the serving. Cousin let me have some sake (rice wine). Tasted great as well.

Would I come back? Near my place so why not.

Loved their take on pinoy's typical tokwa't baboy, they used bacon!128523 Their sake was just okay, it's either it's not really strong or it's a bit diluted.

Their gyudon was too sweet while *ugh* nothing special with their pork and curry rice. And finally the saddest part was that their rice was hard kahit bumawi man lng sa rice na malambot like any other japanese restaurants. Mas okay pa ang rice ng tokyo tokyo *nakakaloka* #sorrynotsorry ( I hope the owner/staff reads looloo reviews so that they can improve the quality of their food.) 9996

Me and my elem BFF had a 'biglaan' hang out, when we decided to go to Malingap the first thing that came into her mind was to eat here. We ordered Spam Sushi, Chicken at Pork Tonkatsu. The span was really good but when it came to the tonkatsu the rice was not the Japanese rice that we expected. What i love was the miso soup, it was good but the serving size was really not enough. 128523

This is by far the worst ramen I've had since my ramen food tour. Notice the egg? Yes, that's half a soft-boiled egg white. That's right, just the egg white. This bowl costs 180 and I wouldn't even pay 150 for this. This was supposed to be their bestseller according to the staff. The broth was too thin and bland, their was half an egg white and half a strip of bacon, maybe so they can entice people from the menu saying WITH bacon. It also has some corn kernels. And the noodles? This tastes like a slight upscaled version of instant noodles. I also ordered the tuna poke which is sashimi with supposed spicy sesame dressing. Another mistake.

Nope, not coming back.

Warning: This post contains so much hate.

This place serves the worst Japanese food ever. Tokyo tokyo and Karate kid tastes so much better (and are cheaper too), they dont deserve to be called Japanese food! Crap food pwede pa. Main reasons why I hate this place:

1) super bagal ng service. We waited for more than 35 minutes for 2 orders!
2) the food was totally crap. their curry katsu ramen was shit, yung noodles was like instant lomi or miki and was really really bland as in youre like sipping on thick broth na di mo madistinguish kung ano. Di ko nakain kahit half lang. Tapos yung katsu, ano yon flour lang?! 128555 the beef curry rice naman was 5% curry 95% toyo. Ang alat pwe!

3) the price and value of their food didnt match. If youre going to serve such a not so pleasant food at least price it at below 100 para naman we dont expect much from you. Imagine yung crappy, i mean curry ramen was 180 tapos yung beef curry was 160! Ang lala.

Ughhh magsara na kayo please. Hahaha so much hate!

I ordered the Spam Musubi and Spicy Tuna Sashimi and I had to wait for 45 minutes for them! I couldn't believe the wait when my order wasn't even gonna be cooked. And the taste of the food that arrived was nothing special. Meh. Not coming back. 128547128547128547

I was craving for tonkatsu and miso soup buti na lang may japanese resto sa Z Compound!

My tonkatsu bento meal includes tonkatsu, rice, veggies miso soup and red iced tea for only Php 120! (Mama what is sulit!)

But tonight, di na available yung veggies so they just doubled my miso soup. Pero when i opened it, parang single serving soup naman talaga so naisip ko kung regular baka super konti lang ng soup. Buti na lang it satisfied my Miso soup craving.

Their pork tonkatsu is not yabu-like pero for its price, worth it na rin. :)
