This pristine white church holds much history for this place. According to our tour guide, this was the only church with the eye symbol (Eye of Providence or commonly known as all-seeing eye of God). It's a bit controversial as that symbol was taken away from other churches here. For you to see that symbol, you have to go inside. Hehe. Now inside, it was very cozy. The ceiling is quite noteworthy as they use the same material they use as roof for the stone houses. It was neatly lined up that added this wooden feel to its architecture.

On its side is an area where you can write notes in its empty books. It's their Blank Book Archive where you can leave notes in the hundreds of blank books they have. It's a peculiar addition but it's nice as you get to leave a mark on that place. 128522

One of the oldest churches in the country. It was built in 1787!

It is a pretty big church considering the number of residents in Mahatao. The church is facing the sea. It situated in the town square of Mahatao beside the school and near the muncipal hall.

Also within the church compound is the ruins of the old Spanish lighthouse. It is very unassuming as it is not the same - style and size - as any other lighthouses in the country.
