This place is one of the many hidden wonders of Sorsogon. Irosin, situated at the base of Mt. Bulusan (southernmost volcano in Luzon), is known for its natural hot springs. Mateo is one of the most popular ones. It's mostly visited by locals rather than tourists because of its remote location. Great to go to if you're an adventurer looking for a little challenge on the road. Like the route to many other natural wonders in Sorsogon, you'll have to drive through mountain after mountain and some unpaved roads. But it's always worth it! It's not ideal to go during peak season if you want to avoid crowds. Can't enjoy it when there are about a hundred other people in the same hot spring.

Sorsogon is about 14 hours away from Manila by car. If you're going for air travel, you'll have to travel 2-3 hours to get to Sorsogon by land coming from Legazpi Airport.
