Had the Uni and Truffle Pizza, Chicken Teriyaki, Sandaime Roll, Salmon Fatty Belly Yaki, and Wagyu Rice

Food Quality 4/5

For me the star of the orders was the pizza. The wife and I loved it. If you like the taste of truffle then this is one to try. Least favorite was the Sandaime Roll. I guess I was expecting more given it is supposed to be their signature roll but to us it just tasted meh. Nothing out of the ordinary about the other dishes but definitely well prepared.

Value for Money 3/5

All in all around 1700 for all 5 dishes. It's ok but not a place of spend 1700 on every week.

Service 4/5

All in all great. Everything was served promptly from the tea, to our orders, the check, water. Again the only thing preventing a five for me would be proactiveness.

Ambiance 3/5

It's ok. The books on the wall were a nice touch but not much you can do really. The place is a bit cramped but what can you do with that space really

Overall 3.5/5

They have a pretty extensive menu so lots of dishes to try. Make sure you try the uni and truffle pizza if you like the taste of truffle. Don't expect so much on the Maki. And as far as the others go they are good but not really something out of the ordinary. All in all a good place for a quick celebratory dinner for your japanese fix in ATC.

Noticed this new Jap place at the old location of John and Yoko at the ATC’s new wing. Checking the prices from their menu, items were a little pricey but they had the Teishoku ramen meals which comes with rice and gyoza. We ordered the Teishoku Shoyu Ramen (@Php 548, and one of their best sellers) but when our order was served, we noticed that the gyoza has been replaced with breaded chicken. They didn’t even inform us beforehand that they had to do such.

The kids liked the noodles though (as it looked more Chinese than authentic Japanese). The broth is quite good but somehow lacks the authentic flavor we’re usually looking for in a ramen.

Also tried the Curry Udon (@Php 289). Perhaps this would please you curry lovers out there as Sandaime is one of the few ramen stores that serve curry udon.

It was only until we got the receipt, that we learned that Sandaime is also operated by John and Yoko.

Something new is sometimes a hit and a miss

This time it was a miss

Sandaime is a newly opened japanese restaurant in ATC near Metro supermarket (where Crisostomo , Bulgogi bros are located)

Was seated promptly and ordered ff

Chicken teriyaki roll
Crunchy kani roll
Crunchy tuna roll
2 miso ramen
Katsu curry
Sizzling chicken plate
Ebi tempura
Japanese rice bowl
Seafood yakisoba

Total bill P3398

All the food served were bland and are small in serving size

Mediocre preparation and taste ..It's a sorry excuse to be tagged as a Japanese restaurant.

Accdg to my kids the only thing they liked here was the soy sauce :p

Service was average

Place is also on the hot side they just have an air cooler for ventilation.

I wouldnt be surprised that this resto wont last long in ATC.

Japanese food for the Filipino palette. Not a bad thing but not my cup of tea.
We ordered
Sizzling fried tofu steak: on the sweet side, good
Salmon and shrimp aburri roll: normal
Pork ramen: one should always eat ramen in a ramen house but this was ok
Mix tempura: my wife said the fish part was bad but everything else was good.
The hot tea was excellent
Service was very good!
