Customized sandwiches with super good quality meat + excellent cheese selection + fresh breads = expensive (lol) but really yummy take out meal! Most people don't know that you can get your sandwiches made here in this deli store. It's like having your own expert sandwich maker hehe

When craving for a quality steak in a budget, this is our place to go to! Never disappoints, I mean, a simple s&p and we're good! Our sautéed veggies though were a little greasy but the pasta and the mashed potato were delicious! All cooked according to our requests!

I usually go to this store to buy cold cuts. If you are near rockwell center, this is the place where you cN buy cold cuts cheaper than in rustan's market place.

At times, people are friendly but sometimes they are slow or snobbish.

They have good imported products.

Yey! Santis for me again! Glad to have bought my fave Farmers ham again. I liked that it's plain and not salty. I sometimes just eat it without a bread. The cheapest at P50/100grams.

Edam Dutch cheese - almost like Queso de bola for me.

I also bought this Orange chocolate at 80 pesos! Soo good! 128523

Voila! CROQUE MADAME!

Ingredients:

5 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
4 slices white bread
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
3 ounces best-quality deli ham, thinly sliced
2 large eggs
Ground pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1
Preheat the broiler with the rack in the top position. In small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over high heat. Whisk in flour and cook until lightly golden. Add milk and salt and whisk constantly until mixture thickens, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Stir into the sauce the nutmeg and half the cheese.

STEP 2
Lay the slices of bread on a baking sheet. Divide the Dijon between 2 slices and top with ham. Divide half of the bechamel between the remaining 2 bread slices and top with remaining cheese. Close the sandwiches.

STEP 3
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sandwiches and cook both sides until bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes.

STEP 4
Return sandwiches to the baking sheet, top with remaining bechamel, and place under the broiler until bubbly, about 2 minutes. Meanwhile, melt remaining butter in the same skillet over high heat. Fry eggs, sunny side up, for about 2 minutes. Top sandwiches with fried egg, season with black pepper, and serve immediately.

Attention!! To whoever wants a quick yet palatable twist on the usual salmon, read on!

The Greek Oven Roasted Salmon with Spinach, Feta Cheese and Pine Nuts Pesto. This dish is next-level, people!

1. Season salmon fillet with ground pepper and a few squeezes of lemon!

2. Pesto time!!
Two handfuls of Sautéed Spinach
Squeeze of Honey
Handful of Pine Nuts & Cashew Nuts
A block of Feta Cheese
A couple of Basil Leaves
A drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
(Just eyeball the amount of ingredients, it would always somehow turn out to be delicious)

3. BLITZ in the blender!
4. Generously spread the pesto on the fish.
5. Place in the oven for 20 minutes at 175 Celsius.

I am pleasantly surprised on how it turned out even if I didn't have the phyllo dough. I would remake this dish again with that ingredient to achieve the flakiness we all love.

This is the ultimate dish for the lazy weekend lunches! It is creamy, fragrant and savory, you'll just love it! Have an amazing weekend guys! Too bad I have school tomorrow.

Always one of my favorite places to shop 128516 From good steak cuts to cheese to wine to fresh produce! Hihi

This visit we for truffle cheese, a bottle of red wine, and 2 cuts of wonderful tenderloin for a stay-in dinner date with my baby. Steak was superb; tender and of good quality 128076 It's our first time to try the truffle cheese and I was kinda skeptical. After the first bite, skepticism melted away. We really tasted the truffle in the cheese. Hrmm. Went really well with our wine 127863

Santi's will always be my go-to place for good quality food.

The most inexpensive way to have good steak is to buy chilled Ribeye and grill them at home. We prefer buying the chilled (though it will cost us a bit more). Because frozen ribeye, when not thawed properly, could lose its natural juice. If you prefer to buy the chilled ones, make sure to put it in double freezer bags ( just in case the other one has leak, submerge in bowl of iced water-slowly defrosting the meat then allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes before seasoning and then grilling it
This is also where we get our cold cuts and sausages. Their canadian bacon is my personal favorite, while their english bangers are my hubby's. We usually have different types of cheese cubed when we're in the mood to chill at home, best paired with wine- unfortunately we don't get it from here.
Not everyone there is friendly though, so I usually ask for our regular butcher for the ribeye & lamb chops and another lady sales assistant for cold cuts, sausages and cheese.
Hubby grilled the ribeye, canadian bacon and sausages. Paired with buttered corn and white rice. Got to go (for our late lunch), everything has been grilled and are best eaten piping hot 128563

While this place has always gotten you going like a kid in a candy store, Edwin I, it has always made me feel like a kid on Christmas day, all giddy and excited to open the gifts. So, which kid is happier, huh? 128521

Not everyone take notice of this shelf as it is on the left most corner of the shop, little do people know that it is where an overwhelming selection of the finest and freshest nuts are located.

I love munching on any kind of nut and getting my daily heart-healthy nutrients!

Theresa L, this is the place where I get my almonds too! Fresh and naturally sweet! 128539

Buy some wine, a couple slices of cheese and nuts. You're good to go.

Stay Fancy! Hahah

For the days when you're just stuck at home!!

Santi's would always be my go to place when I feel like grabbing some steak, fresh produce, deli, some good-quality cheeses or other gourmet products.

As a dedicated health junkie, I have learned how to make my own hearty meals at home. I have tried a ton of recipes, however, this is one of those I return over and over to.

How to construct your turkey sandwich:

1. Cut Croissant bread in half, toast if desired
2. Spread mixture: Dijon mustard & Cottage Cheese & Minced Red Pepper
3. Cheddar Cheese/ Brie Cheese/Mozzarella
4. Slices of Turkey Ham
5. Leaves of Romaine Lettuce
6. Spread the same mixture on the other slice of bread

SERVE WHILE IT'S WARM!!
#berisimple!

*season turkey ham with pepper
*feel free to innovate! Layer all you want!
*If you want something sweet, trade the dijon mixture for some jam, fruit chutney or compote. I like mine to be quite savory! 128076

P.S. Thanks Ginny B for inspiring me to do a recipe-kind-of-review, haha 128522128077
