Dahil napag-utusan ni Kumander to buy Clogs ay napadpad ako dito. Since it's the Christmas Season you can expect that this place is jampacked with people buying ingredients for their family gatherings, other people buying gift baskets and giveaways for their relatives, friends and colleagues. As for me, I didn't expect it like that kasi nga napag-utusan lang ako so nakapambahay lang ako at mukha akong kargador amongst mga doña na nagshshopping for cheese 128514 Imagine the stares I'm getting.. Akala yata snatcher ako. 128557

Well anyway keber lang! 128514

Got myself this "Truffle Noir Cheese". I first sampled this from a friend's housewarming party. One bite and my eyes glowed with tears flowing down my cheeks... I immediately fell in love with it. Cheese infused with actual truffle! It's brilliant! Goes well with wine too! The price though... I can't remember exactly but it's around P220 per 100g 128561

Oh well.. As long as there's truffle. 9786

The first time i visited this store, it reminded me of the time my mom brought me to a neighborhood candy shop back when i was 4. Im telling, the memory is vivid! It must be the simple bliss of knowing yet not knowing what you really want to try first! Anyway, when i entered the cellar, i went straight to check out their french collection. I picked up a 2011 Bordeaux and a 2012 Pinot Noir. I was excited to uncork these lip-puckering delight when i get to my fiends house for a movie marathon. Next stop i shopped for deli and cheese. I got a cured parma ham and iberico slices together with a slice of brie. Truly, its heaven in earth for the oenologics in us :)

When you walk into delis, there's the scent of pepper and sausage and freezers and cheese all rolled into one. This main branch of santi's is on the way home that when I crave for a bottle of wine, the only thing stopping me is the lack of parking. I take it as a sign that alcohol's not happening tonight!

Shopping is always fun here. You can get german or european items on sale, chocolate for comfort, gcs for your boss, a bottle of wine just cause and I love it when they have prepared sandwiches. Mmmnomnomnom.

The thing with the chocolate they sell is it's imported, so if the photo is vague, you never know what it means! Surprise!

Which reminds me I still have canned lentils! Time for soup!!

Whenever I feel like having "classy" nights in (or I just want to binge on readily-available goodies), I go here to buy myself (and fine, everybody else in the vicinity) an assortment of cold cuts and cheese. The selection is pretty wide, with choice cuts of meat that you can tell are truly fresh. I usually fall in love upon first bite regardless of what I end up getting! And their cheese.. the selection is absolutely heavenly! Although I know these would probably go down better paired with the right wines, I prefer to enjoy my night booze-free. I don't think it takes anything away from the experience, anyway. 128522

The truffle cheese here is an absolute standout! I recommend you at least try to order some when you visit. The truffle flavor melds well with the mellow flavor of the cheese, it's super sakto. I think Michael Joseph V and I used to finish off nearly a whole 100g order between ourselves whenever our friends buy some during "stay-in and cook" chill nights. What is matakaw. 128554 For meat, I'd recommend you try their sausages. You can never go wrong with a classic, which is why I always go for Hungarian myself. The sky's the limit! 128522

Before going home yesterday, I passed by Säntis to get some grocery action done.

Foods I bought:
A couple of Hungarian Sausages (for my dad)
Bottle of Whole Milk (It is fresher than most of the ones available in supermarkets)
Prosciutto for the pizza I made. (It's in my Instagram! Hehe)
Slices of cheeses
Loaf of 100% whole wheat bread (I love how packed Lartizan's breads are and how rich, earthy and complex its taste is)
Two croissants (We sometimes like flaky breads too)
Vegetables (I tried a new local kind and it was too bitter for my taste 128534)

The guard was friendly and joyful (he even brought the grocery bags to the car) , while the cheese lady was quite snob and was not very accommodating. Hmph!

Better if you can call ahead of time if you need a platter of assorted cold cuts. At least an hour or two - just pick it up when it's ready :)

Depending on your budget. A thousand bucks is not bad for 2-4 persons.
