Satchmi, a hip vinyl and music store, expands to bring awesome music and great food together thru the Satchmi Lifestyle Cafe. It serves gourmet sandwiches, flavored popcorn on the side, desserts and specialty coffee from EDSA Beverage Design Group.

Last October 15, we have a Looloo Rendezvoos at SM Megamall so while waiting to start , I stayed first here to work on my online food business.

Since will be eating a lot for Rendezvoos so I decided to just order appetiser. Got their dirty fries for 150 pesos .

It has crunchy Potato 🥔 strings deep fried with chorizo bits and egg. I was expecting a different dirty fries . The place was nice to hang out but I made a wrong choice of food. How I wish I just ordered coffee or desserts .

My sister and I have been craving coffee and decided to go to this place for a quick snack. The place looked like a bookstore and a cafe at the same time which makes this place so unique.
We ordered the following:

Carrot Cake (4/5)The Carrot cake is really big so you can buy one for sharing (unless you're craving XD). Love how generous the cream cheese is in the cake and it also tasted good. If you're a fan of carrot cakes, definitely try this one out.

Flat white coffee (3/5)This coffee is tasted strong for my taste. I like creamy coffee but this is not that creamy compared to the other ones I've tried. I regretted not ordering their hot caramel latte or their mocha. Though, this coffee is not that bad. I recommend this for people who love strong coffee.

I would come back again to try more of their coffee. I think I would like the other flavours more.

Livin’ La Vida Mocha 127926 Vintage, anyone? 128192 Aside from the stylish decor and great ambiance you’ll get here, Satchmi features Vinyl records for that homey and hippie vibe. This Cafe Mocha, is underrated by most but hey, you have got to try it! Especially those who aren’t used to strong coffee. 128521 Definitely saying the music heart in me is so happy 10084

I am not that of a big fan of vintage stuff but I love how music soothes my soul.

Megamall has been my home for the past few years and it was my first time to try Satchmi because why not. It was something new to me.

The café is very unique and classy that I wish I lived in the generation where turntables and vinyl records are genuine. They even had listening room!

For food, I ordered NY Cheesecake and it was so good. Best cheesecake I have tasted by far. I also had Matcha Latté and it was meh, not recommending their matcha.

Overall, the place and food was just okay.

1281911279329749 Coming from one of the (last?) generations where LP's, 45's and cassette tapes once made up the bulk of our listening pleasure, I am happy to see that they still manage to exist in the digital millennium. Well, in fact, vinyls are making a comeback and are once again popular particularly in many Western countries.

But here in the Philippines? It would take a long, long time to be accepted again as a "mainstream" audio format. Vinyls -- particularly the newest and sleekest re-releases/reissues and really, really rare one-off releases -- have become an expensive hobby where only a few well-off audiophiles can afford. And LP's with nice sleeve jackets and album art, they really cost a fortune. Yes, vinyl collecting is a luxury pursuit nowadays.

Oh well, I still miss the warm sounds of analog audio recordings.

You've got to thank Satchmi for bringing the good ol' pleasures of listening to LP's. It lets customers to sample how records are being played on turntables -- something that their dads and moms or grandparents used to play. Plus, since this is also a coffee shop, it serves good coffee as well.

Satchmi's portable Motorino turntables are a bit more high-tech (they even have features like Bluetooth!)

I had dinner earlier so I just wanted to caffeinate myself. 128513

9749 Americano (₱100)
9749127846Affogato (₱160)

I liked their affogato. The ice cream had some dense and velvety consistency. My Americano was perfectly strong. No sugar needed.

It was not my first time to visit Satchmi, but it was my first time to actually sit down, have a coffee, and spin some records there. On my past visits, I used to pass by inside the premises, and just thumb through the records. 128513

I lingered further, first checking out the records on the racks. They were categorized by genre.

These days, I'm into Frederic Chopin, so I was looking if there were any records of his music. There was actually one Rubinstein (one of the greatest Chopin interpreters), but he played Beethoven on that record instead. Awwwts. ☹

Instead, I played The Beatles' "Anthology 2" LP inside one of Satchmi's two listening rooms. I am also a fan of the Fab Four; I spent a good 15 minutes or so listening to it (but not the entire album though, as I had to go home). It was nice to play a record again. 128522

Yes, to complete your experience at Satchmi, you've got to at least try to play a record. 128522

Satchmi also sells records, but the other selected albums inside the listening rooms were obviously demos.

I liked the warm and cozy ambiance of this place, but it can be a bit too crowded at times that you can't find the exact seating that you want. I might want to try their food on my next visit.

Staff were nice. Free WiFi, to boot. 128522 You can also check out some cameras, watches, other audio equipment and leather goods there.

I kind of hate the "hipster" tag towards this coffee shop/records store. I would simply just like to think that it's a nice place to hang out, chill out, cool your heels, have a nice cup of Joe and listen to cool music in the old-fashioned way. Really enjoyed my longest stay there (to date) 128522

Satchmi is definitely a haven for music lovers.. and coffee lovers! Established in late 2014, the café aims to bring back the pleasure of playing music from an actual vinyl player which seemed rarely to happen these days because of the digitalized way of buying and listening to music. They have a wide array of vinyls for sale as well as vinyl players. I remember dreaming of getting my own vinyl and player from this store, but my money was always spent with food! Lol.

I’ve visited this place twice already. The first time was when I decided to try their coffee for an extra boost. I got the Latte priced at Php140 – it’s smooth and almost as strong as Toby’s latte. It has the right amount of sweetness, and I noticed that it has lesser microfoam which I like. No photo, though.

On my second visit, I decided to try their food while doing some late-night work – so I went for the Pesto with Baked Chicken. It’s made of spaghetti pasta with pesto sauce, roasted tomato, marinated chicken, and arugula topped with parmesan cheese. I kinda liked it although I find it too oily, and the chicken was a bit bland for my taste.

Place was perfect, though, for hanging out while listening to some great tunes and having some coffee. What’s good in this place is you’ll surely leave the place with some new music discoveries.

I love the ambiance of Satchmi, from the Vinyl records to the wooden tables. The perfect place to chill and have a sound trip with a good cup of coffee and dessert. Their Cookie Dough Cupcake is so sweet, that I didn't know such a combo could exist. :D

Been passing by this Cafe everytime I am in Megamall and finally had the chance to try it yesterday.

AMBIANCE: 11088110881108811088
The place in intrestingly decorated and I would think it will be conducive for meetings or even some me time. They also have a Listening Room should you wish to enjoy their music.

FOOD: Overall : 110881108811088
Reuben Cream Pasta (P280) - 110881108811088
Spagheti in special carbonara sauce with their homemade corned beef and honey-cured bacon, topped with sous vide egg.

Taste was just okay. I also feel thay there was too much sauce in it.

Flat White (P140) - 11088110881108811088
Espresso + Steamed Milk (light foam)

You can never go wrong with this if you are in the stronger side of coffee.

SERVICE; 110881108811088
II'm not too sure if they were under staffed when I visited because the service was just so slow. It didn't help that I came in very hungry and had to wait for about 30 mins for my order to be served.

I might still go back and maybe try their sandwiches next time because my friends said they serve good sandwiches.

The group I’m with frequents Satchmi for the meetings. As a new ambassador of YFPH2030 I joined them. I personally ordered Grilled Cheese. Service suddenly became sloppy. They served the wrong drinks to the wrong number within the group

One of us reordered and this time with his right drink but the waiter wanted to take the drink from him after seeing him sip on it. The premise was because the other table ordered the same drink and must be served first and wanted to double check if he really paid.

Weir service. If I am going back to Satchmi, I will not be there for service. One order and i should be done with that coz the rest of it was good. It was the awful service that flunked it all. As a former business owner for food I know the pains and most of their crew are naive and aggressive. #neverAgain

Oh! Grilled cheese was 140+10% service charge 128530

Ever since this opened haven’t had the chance to visit it. This cafe and music store was beautiful decorated with Satchmi Motorino pieces from record players and albums. A place where music enthusiasts and fans of this product line can enjoy to hangout with friends or family.

The space was maximized to accommodate a number of people. Plus it has wall sockets that is perfect for meetings or people who want to study somewhere different for a change.

Unfortunately most of the food items weren’t available that day. Maybe they were waiting to replenish their inventory, who knows. They only had coffee drinks readily available that day.

Cafe Latte (Php 140) it had a mellow taste that wasn’t bitter nor tangy. A good blend for my taste.
Dirty Fries (Php 150) julienned potatoes topped with bacon bits, chopped tomato and egg. Ala fries salad. I also liked the presentation. Mix all the ingredients together.

Hopefully next time they had more items available on their menu so we can try it out. It’s a bit of a hassle to have limited options most especially on a weekend.

Satchmi is not your usual third wave coffee shop. They are a café AND a vinyl records store — complete with a listening room! And they also sell other vintage and interesting hipster stuff.

I've always been curious of the place, so when the boyfie and I were in SM Megamall last weekend, we made sure to check them out. The place was packed when we got there, which I'd have to admit I didn't expect. The ambiance has a vintage and old school vibe to it, which I loved! Very different from other coffee shops in the metro.

We got the following:

127911 Avocado with Salmon Bruschetta (220php) — Egg salad with a cream chive spread, salmon, avocado slices and sous vide egg.

I super loved this one! It was really good and it gives you this pretentious healthy eating feeling because of the avocado. Lol! 128517 The smoked salmon was amazing + avocado slices were fresh. And the egg, ermahgerd the egg! Serious #eggporn fam! 🥚🥑 The only downside to this was the serving size, beshie ang liit! Mas malaki pa yung Gardenia sliced bread! Hanggang lalamunan lang hindi umabot sa tiyan. Don't go for this if you want something filling, pabebe food lang po siya. Pero masarap pa rin, promise! 128523

127911 Affogato (180php) — Vanilla ice cream + espresso. Need I say more? 128514

127911 Café Mocha (160php) — My basis of an awesome coffee shop is their version of a mocha. Be it iced or hot, nothing beats a good cup or glass of amazing coffee. Satchmi's Café Mocha is definitely mocha-ng me crazy! (Sorry I just had to! 128517128514) The bittery sweet taste of the espresso + the chocolate was an amazing welcome to the tastebuds! 9749

If you happen to be in Megamall and looking for a good coffee fix, drop by Satchmi! And make sure to check out the stuff they have in the store, you might find something interesting. 128189

I almost always come out of Satchmi with a record despite coming in with only the intention of having coffee. This time, I got a free iced latte for purchasing a record as part of their ongoing father's day promo. You have to be a member though to get the freebie. If you're looking to try Satchmj, I think their iced mocha would be a good place to start.

Bigger now!
I don't know, i don't think it got that cafe ambience. More like of a store ambience only. Plus it's always full house here

But they slayed the espresso that i ordered. Skrrrr.

Nice ambience. Cake options are limited but all delicious. I've tried Mango Graham cake and Chocolate Lava - oozing bitter sweet choco as you slice the warm soft cake. Vintage interiors, smell of brand new leather and freshly brewed coffee - perfect on a Sunday!

Lovelovelove this coffee shop! It had a very artsy, indie look and feel to it, plus their coffee and dessert were quite good.

I ordered their flat white plus the very intriguing English Breakfast tea cake/mousse. The coffee was served in a seemingly small glass but turned out that it was just the right size. The overall experience was very third wave coffee, reminiscent to Craft and Toby's Estate.

The highlight of the after dinner experience was the cake though. It was my first time to have a dessert that tasted like tea!128563 The texture or the mousse was very smooth, it was just the right level or sweetness, and I could definitely taste the subtle hint of English Breakfast Tea in it.

Service was satisfactory. The staff wasn't the usual perky type you typically encounter in Starbucks or CBTL, but they were attentive and quick enough. The store also sold LP players and albums, leather goods and other assorted stuff that are quite pricey, but people may probably be interested to purchase here if they're "pa-indie feels" and, of course, if they have the extra cash.

Having said all these, Satchmi is definitely a top-of-mind option when I'm in the mood for some R&R over coffee 128522
