Wanted something a bit light and heathy so we decided to go to Satinka. After my trip to Sagada I was curious about their iterations and how it compares.

Sadly a handful of options weren't available so we ended up getting the Roasted Chicken Salad, Baked Adobo, and the Lime Margarita.

The salad was fantastic. The vinaigrette dressing was spot on and a huge complement for the beets and chicken. I can wolf this down alone and be happy.

The Adobo was cooked well. Base is a more sweet rather than salty. Would've preferred a breast part but the leg quarter was good. The marinade they used soaked through the chicken very well. The marble potatoes are also great. If I can order this alone as a side would have done so.

Now for the real star - the Lime Margarita. This concoction is the best non alcoholic mixture I've had. It's akin to the one you can get at the bar of Shangrila Boracay, again without the alcohol. I will surely bring a small bottle of gin or white rum next time to spike it. It's that good.

Hopefully they'll have all the offerings on the menu available next time. Looking forward to another healthy treat!

Happy new year! 127880127878127882

Another year has come, and this means that the long holiday season just ended, the season of never ending feasts.

Every start of the year, we all vow to work hard and get out of the slightly tighter clothes the holiday season put us in. But, as the foodie that I am, I refuse to sacrifice discovering restaurants just to shed some weight. Thus, I took this as an opportunity to include places offering healthy food in my conquests this year, and the first stop: Satinka Naturals.

I called the restaurant prior to visiting to make sure that they are open on Sundays. Luckily, they are. I also asked if they have parking spaces, and yes, they do. ✅

We arrived the restaurant and it was empty. We walked up to the second floor (because it looks prettier there lol) and the staff just turned the air-conditioning on right there and then, so it was a bit hot.

The ambiance of the place has an ethnic theme, judging from the paintings, other decors and wooden furniture. It also has some modern twists, and one is in the form of colorful pillows that you lean back on when you sit on the "floor" on one of their areas.

We ordered their vegetarian quarter pounder, chicken honey mustard, greek platter and super food it.

VEGETARIAN QUARTER POUNDER BURGER P249
•patty with broccoli, cauliflowers, mushrooms, kidney beans and chick peas•vegan bread•vegan cheddar cheese spread•mayonnaise•side fries•
This veggie burger was heavy, even though it wasn't really that big. The patty tasted like radish cake. Most of the flavor came from its condiment: the mustard. It was good. It didn't taste awful like you would expect from an all-veggie burger.

CHICKEN HONEY MUSTARD P238
•chicken fillet•honey mustard sauce•light cream•raw and honey white wine•parmesan cheese•red rice•salad•
This was the first one served to us and it was so tempting because of how good it smelled. The chicken fillet had a bit of a crunch, and it was covered with the honey mustard sauce. This was good, although I realized that it had that sweet, buttery taste. On a side note, in the menu, it was stated that we can choose from either the red rice or the pesto mashed potato as our carbs. But, we weren't given the option, and we already forgot about it until the orders arrived :( I really wanted to try that pesto mashed potato.

GREEK PLATTER P298
•chicken strips in herbs•spiced mint beef 100% lean grass fed (meatballs)•red rice•Greek salad•
The chicken and meatballs were both well spiced and tender. It tasted like Mediterranean food, although not too authentic (based from what I've tried, I think?). The salad was okay, it didn't feel like it had a difference from the regular salads, but it was healthy so yay 128522

SUPERFOOD IT P180
•organic chia seeds•flax seeds•raw macca X•acai berry•banana•blueberries or mixed berries•
Detox drink that can substitute as food (which is why it there is a "new meal in the glass" written about it on the menu). This was good. The flavor that I was able to taste from it was the banana (although not too strong, as I was able to taste the other fruits as well although these weren't dominating). The consistency was more liquid, like most detox juices I've tried (yes, juice. Not shake/ smoothie consistency).

Service was outstanding. The servers stayed at the ground floor but they didn't neglect us: their customers upstairs 128518 The staff (who has a really deep but soothing voice lol) also managed to crack a few jokes with us during our entire stay.

They also sell some consumer products like shampoos and soaps that are made by them.

Satinka offers food that are healthy. Some may not be so healthy but are definitely better than any other food you can get from regular restaurants. To top it all off, the quality and serving of the food here isn't compromised to make way for healthier versions of our favorite dishes.

It's nice to eat healthy when you have restaurants like this to run to!

P.S. we were supposed to order the cajun grilled chicken and shrimps and mixed super berries, but they had no shrimps and blueberries :(

After an exhausting workout, its time for a good food. Decided to go for something healthy, i checked for satinka fb page and its up to date, Good. Last time we went here they were closed so i have to double check before heading here.

Upon entering you will be greeted by smell of natural oils, and as usual seating was on the upper floor. Tonight was almost full house, tried here before and crowd was surely thicker and it was diverse in terms of culture, table on my left are japanese couple, on the right are europeans and locals occupied the 'no shoes allowed' seats. So in effect the server thought i was a foreigner, for which i happily played the part while ordering 128540.

I actually like their artistic and rustic feel of the place, and every visit is surely different both good and bad. But tonight was good aside from weird looking bugs that force me to change seats.128533 Moving on, Chicken with cream cheese pasta P230 was ok, a lil bit dry but good nonetheless, what i really like was the shake P180 that ive order and sagada banana n oats yogurt P95, for which was the best ive tasted locally.

They are giving free wine taste on the other table occupied by the europeans and i was able to have a free taste of their dragonfruit wine. The other table liked the calamansi wine but i wasnt able to try it AND i even heard they have avocado wine. Whoooa. These are not listed on their menu so better ask for it if interested.

Tip: When ordering the banana n oats yogurt be sure to mix the honey well, it was surely sweet, reminds me of honey cream/milkcow honeycomb.

The place is conveniently located at Bagtikan St. Corner Pasong Tamo, inside Makati City. It is near shopwise and Sacred Heart Shrine. My attention was caught by an earthly and organic exterior. Going inside I was welcomed by a friendly staff who suggested that I should check upstairs for a more comfortable and relaxing seat. And to my surprise, I found just a cozy and amiable space, with seat selection for solo, duo and groups. The space is not big which makes the ambiance more intimate and ideal for quality time with friends and special someone. Artistic paintings, books you can borrow, elevated seats with mats and pillows wherein you can Indian-seat, wood finishes, earthly tones, mellow and soft music, and warm lights all contribute to an ideal hang-out place.

The next thing I knew, I was browsing the menu. And contemplating on their choices for salad, pasta, vegan meals. I decided to go for Greek salad (php 125), strawberry yogurt smoothie (php 188), and vegan adobo (228).

First, I tasted the Greek salad. I had the solo order, which was served in a conservative size. Well I should expect because I ordered for solo right? But I just thought that the price is a little bit pricey for it. The taste is fine, nothing much flamboyant and extraordinary.

The strawberry yogurt smoothie is a good one. Though at first I was expecting something like "nestle yogurt", wherein you can somewhat experience the creaminess and sourness battling with each other. This one was different, you can taste the yogurt but it's more on a refreshing version, less creamy perhaps. The serving size is just right and I also think that the price is a bit high for this.

The vegan adobo was a good choice. I'll give it a two thumbs up! When I asked about the meat patties, the staff said that it was vegetable meat. But it doesn't taste like you are actually eating a pure vegetable. The sauce defined the dish. It was really good and savory. It tastes like a typical adobo sauce but with kick and bit two levels up! So how was that?! It was served with lettuce and tomatoes on the side and a low-calorie red rice, just what is usual in the cordillera region.

Overall, I will give this restaurant a high rating, given the ambiance and food quality. The price might be a little above the average, but the interior and experience will pay for it. I left the place happy and satisfied, knowing that my discovery was a successful one. I will surely be back and definitely, it will be one of my me-time places. By the way, they also serve coffee and cheesecakes, which I will try on my next visit. :)

And also, there is a 10% service charge. #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway #loolooapp

The ambiance of the place is much like being in Baguio. It's cozy, and the walls are decorated with exquisite paintings. I have only tried their grass-fed bacon carbonara and I can't help myself but to indulge. It tasted not like the ordinary carbonara I used to eat. The pasta is not soggy, the sauce is thick and creamy but just the right amount. Also, the aroma of the food soothes my appetite. The food presentation was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. Though the price is a little bit expensive, it justifies the amount of serving and my happy tummy.

Satinka Naturals sits in the corner of Kamagong and Chino Roces and was opened just four months ago. They claim that they only use organic ingredients for their food and drinks, free of MSG (monosodium glutamate) and GMO (genetically modified organism).

The space that they own is small, but they have an al fresco area. It looks like an ideal place to hang out but if you are with a laptop, I’m sad to report that if you want to use their electricity to charge your device, you have to pay PHP50 per hour.

Apart from organic food, they also sell other organic products, such as mineral foundation, body scrub, insecticide, shampoo and conditioner, etc.

Food and products here are expensive. Everything is freshly made, including their yogurt and cakes. I read in the menu that they use Himalayan salt (commonly known as rock salt), which contains 81 different minerals. I’m serious honey, it’s that good.

They also offer Cordillera coffee, and when you order Kalinga Coffee in particular, it is bottomless.

With coffee, I’ve already tried Iced Benguet Coffee (PHP95). It tastes kind of bland, but it was okay. I also tried their Grass Fed Pork with Rice (PHP235), the pork is quite flavorful, which I got to say I didn’t expect at all considering the fact that they are promoting healthy food, and we all know some healthy food tend to go easy with flavors. (Sorry, I’ve got no photos of these two)

My favorite dish is the Meat And Tomato Sauce Pasta (PHP175). I like that it’s salty and that the sauce is already clinging to the pasta, not scattered all over the plate. The herb taste is present but not overpowering.

The Mango Juice With Mint (PHP85) is not as concentrated as I wanted it to be (meaning, more water, less mango flavor) but I still find it quite refreshing.

Satinka Naturals yogurt is much creamier, more sweet than sour with smooth velvety texture. It is the best yogurt I’ve tasted in my entire life! The Yogurt With Honey is only PHP95, while the Yogurt With Cheesecake is PHP115.

If you got a little extra, or money is no issue if it equates to good food, you might wanna try Satinka Naturals. And when you do, you should never leave without trying their yogurt.

Sa-atin-ka or Satinka (name of the owner) serves one of the best salads in the city. Certainly one of the cheapest and tastiest. Most, if not all, of the products they use come from their own farm in Benguet. Literally a "farm to table" concept.

It's not really a vegetarian restaurant as they also serve chicken and beef dishes.

I always have their Greek salad, Chlorophyll juice, and Benguet coffee when I'm here. All very good.

They also sell organic products which they make themselves. Such as massage oils, pain reliever oils, scents, and the likes. The owner told me that she did this as a hobby growing up in Germany. She was also a vegetarian for 10 years.

The second floor is a dining area decorated with art pieces that, I believe, can be bought.

They also sell their produce at very affordable prices.

This store proves that organic doesn't have to be expensive nor tasteless. Hard to go wrong here 128077🏽128077🏽128523128588🏽128079🏽

A veggie lover's sanctuary! It's my second time eating here already and going through traffic from QC to Makati was definitely worth it! On our 2nd visit, friend and I tried out the Spiced Mint Ground Beef (with tabbouleh, red mountain rice and garlic cucumber yogurt sauce) We also got the Pesto Chicken Pasta with fresh basil, carabao milk cream, pili, walnuts, cashew nuts and hemp seeds accompanied by their parmesan romano side salad. The alkaline juice was okay in terms of taste but I can guarantee that it's packed with nutrients. Their probiotics drink from our previous visit tasted better. I also recommend their Mountain Aubergine Pasta with grilled veggies 128076 You'll find the ambiance to be inviting and charming. Upon entering the restaurant, local produce and mountain vegetables greet you and when you head up to the second level where large soft pillows and shin-high tables allow you to dine while seated on the floor 128522
