This hidden gem is worth searching for.
My husband and I get to know of S.E.A.S Kitchen when I was searching for places to visit in Pagudpud in LooLoo App. There are no reviews at that time so I investigate more through IG.
There are positive reviews and wonderful pictures on IG. That's why we decided to add S.E.A.S Kitchen in our north trip bucket list.
We followed the map as pinned in LooLoo however we went in circles around the area. We asked the local tourist information in the common resorts area and they suggested to try the street where other resorts are located.
Since we want you guys to go visit and enjoy the wonderful place, here's our own direction as unfolded going there:
Directions: Coming from the south of Burayoc-Saud road, turn left to the street where all signs lead to Vista Del Mar, Evangelines, Arinaya, etc. The street is a kilometer long and at the end of it is a diversion. Turn left to the rocky road (about 1km long) and again at the end of it there is a diversion. To the upper hill right is Monte Vista (kind of outdated resort) and to your upper hill left is a demolished rest house atop but this is the street where SEAS kitchen is located. So curb left and to the left you'll see a small gate where this hidden gem is waiting for you.
Upon reaching the place, we're just in awe. Behind the aluminum sheet gates is a vast land that screams rustic. To the right is a vegetable garden which I believe is where they harvest fresh veggies they serve; in front are a few shabby wooden tables and chairs where guests can dine. Some sets are under a tree, some are around shady area.
A few horses, cows, and 2 native dogs welcomed us along with chirping birds and cricket song. We were greeted by the owner (Ms Alma) and a few of her staff (i remember Sir JC and Ms Bibeth).
Sir JC took our orders and had a nice chat with him about the history of the place. We learned that S.E.A.S Kitchen is just two months old and for the rest, I'll save for you guys to know.
While waiting for our dinner and since we have the whole place to ourselves, we took the opportunity to take pictures and enjoy the quiet sanctuary.
We enjoyed our dinner al fresco during sunset. I ordered organic fried chicken while the husband ordered Vigan longaniza kebab. Both servings are generous and partnered with freshly handpicked salad from the garden and homemade vinaigrette. Apart from ig-worthy plating, food is very rich and tasty! Well done, S.E.A.S Kitchen! 🤙🏼
Also to our surprise, the star of the house is around: Kobe, a choco labrador puppy! He's sooo sociable and playful: he wont let his handler catch him. He stayed beside us while we dine; he let us pet him and rub his body against our legs and he even showed some of his "moves": he rolls over the grass and posed for belly rub position and stayed like that until we rub his exposed belly.
Too bad it's almost getting dark and we need to get back to our quaint homestay. We had our pictures taken with the staff and bid our goodbyes.
Hope you guys visit the S.E.A.S Kitchen if you happen to be in Pagudpud. Always remember, support and patronize local. 🇵🇭
