Oh god. The service was so poor. I actually wrote a comment and good thing is that their manager texted me to apologize. 1.) baristas smell the beverage before labeling the cup and before serving 2.) baristas do not know how to smile 3.) generally i find their actions and manners irritating (told them not to open the bag of chips but they still opened it); not following instructions....

First time to go here even if I practically pass by Taft every single day. My SO and I were looking for a chill spot near my place to relax and have a few laughs over coffee. His sister would always recommend this branch.

We shared a large mocha javakula and a chocolate nougat croissant doughnut (cronuts, obviously). The drink was okay but the whipped cream tasted a little weird (plastic? glue? Idk). We loved the cronut though. I really wanted to get another but it was already quite late and were both watching our weight. Haha

Not bad for a first time visit. SBC has been around for quite some time and it's only now that I've been really acquainted with it.

EDIT: No, it's not your phone. I just have a really grainy picture. My bad :/

I loved the oreo cheesecake! 12851410084128536 haha!

I was here for like an hour, alone, because i was waiting for my brother from La Salle to finish whatever photoshoot they were doing. Haha. 128514 anyway, I wanted to order the Signature Hot Chocolate but then I changed my mind last minute to the iced one instead. 128556 hehe..

Well, i loved it, both the drink and the foodie but I want to try the White Chocolate Mocha next time! Oh, the place is so "Taft". Haha 128514128514128514

Yaaaaaay for Buy 1 Take 1 promos!

Not really a fan of ice blended drinks but hey, it's buy 1 take 1, I'd take that promo any day!

The promo's only till Sept. 12, though. 128532

Hope they'll do this for all their drinks din! 128514

Mocha Javakula (mine)
-same old same old mocha taste, I love it. I would've gone for something with a stronger coffee taste but hey, it's free :)

Green Tea Javakula
-it tasted like: imagine a glass of hot milk and you put in a bag of tea, that's exactly how it tasted! Not really comparable to that of Starbucks' matcha frappé 128532

Tried their Brownie Javakula. Nothing really special except for the brownie bits. 128513

I found my comfort coffee!127800

9749️Classic Mocha with cinnamon powder. Simple as that.

At first sip I thought it was too sweet but the moment I added cinnamon powder, the latter neutralized the sweetness and made the drink felt so light and balanced in flavor. I don't know why or how but I couldn't stop drinking like I sipped my coffee like water and I loved it so much. Now I know where to run when I need the comfort hug they say coffee gives. And yes, Seattle's Best tops my list among the other equally famous coffee shops. 128524

P.S. I love this place too. I was lucky I got the best seat so yes, I was able to study so well. Thank you!

Customer service is terrible. I went there March 29 around 12nn to 12:30pm. I bought a pair of chocolate mousse mini cakes, not sure what it's called. The lady barista was not very friendly and I was not even an annoying customer as I was the only one at the counter. There were only 2 people then, the manager and her. She did not even smile. I asked if they had candles as I am giving those as birthday cakes. The lady barista smirked as if it was one of the stupidest questions ever. Other coffee shops do have candles just so you know!

In fairness to her, she told me I can buy some from National Bookstore which is a doors away. I did not create a fuss anymore. Normally, I would have asked a manager as I felt embarrassed but I was really in a hurry as I am going to be late for class.

Woops 2 reviews in a row of the same place hihi. Perfect depiction of curiosity.

Pam L suggested I try their Brownie Javakula...so I did! Di ako mapakali sa class dahil dito ok. 128514128514128514

The drink itself is pretty good but I guess I expected it to be like the java chip i had yesterday with the little choco chips, but this was more like a mocha javakula topped with brownies 128532 the brownies didn't even fit in the straw 128542 I guess I got high expectations about the chunks... Hahahaha big deal talaga yung chunks sa akin eh. Anyway, it was good taste-wise and I got my caffeine fix...what more can I ask for, right?...lots of brownie chunks pls. 128514128514128514128514128514128514

Kung pwedeng magbaon ng isang truck ng yelo...gagawin ko. 128557

Real-time review:
Javachip Javakula.
I like this drink better than their classic mocha because 1. It has chips 2. It has chips and 3. It has chips. Although it's not really "java chips" like the one in Starbucks because the chips are just that...mini chocolate chips. I prefer the one from Starbucks but I wish the texture of their frappuccino is like the one here in SBC...I like the chunky bits of chips eh.

Also, recently I've been finding myself navigating towards this coffee shop more than the ones near the school because hello, it's connected to a restaurant. It's also near a National Bookstore...which is good if you're a semi-responsible student like me hehe. They just need better ventilation for their al fresco area but other than that, a pretty good study place if you don't mind a little noise (inside) or the traffic noise (outside).

After a very tiring day fron class, I've decided to have something to eat on-the-go because it's already getting late so I've ordered their new drink which has a pretzel in it and a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant has a buttery, cheesy and savory goodness but it has lost it's crunch since it has been reheated in the microwave. I have tried a better croissant which is in our baking class before. The drink was like a mocha frappe without the chocolate syrup. It was good. The price of Seattle's best was just more expensive than starbuck's but i liked their coffee blends and frappes here though.

There's something so endearing about eating out on a sunny afternoon-- especially when you're alone. You go to a quiet coffee shop, order a sandwich and coffee then read a good book. To me, that scene is perfection-- it's simple, romantic and nostalgic. 12821897869749

Almond Mocha Joy (Php 135)
Another of my most "memorable" drinks. A tempting mix of SBC’s classic mocha with the nutty flavor of almond and a bit of coconut-flavored syrup. It is so distinct and unique that I feel like it holds the true "SBC" trademark.

I really had the most wonderful time at Seattle's Best Coffee this afternoon.

I've always liked raspberry flavor for a drink, and so I ordered, for the second time around (I believe), their Hot Raspberry Mocha Kiss. You can really taste the raspberry flavor with a bitter sweet sensation. Maybe, Seattle's Best is my number 1 now, then CBTL, Figaro and Starbucks as the last (yet the most famous, it's so mainstream especially now for those card holders).

So the drink is topped with whipped cream and a bar of dark chocolate, which I usually melt with the coffee rather than eat it.

If you like dark chocolate drink, this is for you. But if you can't tolerate the sweetness, might as well think twice coz this is really, really sweet.

As for the place, well the background music is commendable. It's just so serene and peaceful. But I personally think the place lacks coziness, and is wanting of a better ambiance. I just didn't feel it the way I felt it outright in Figaro last Friday. It's really essential because a person would be inspired to study and be more relaxed if the place, effortlessly, has that precious ambiance that would glue your butt on that very comfy couch. Yes, lovely would that be 128522

And another, the wifi was down. They fixed it several times but still 128078 But I guess that helped me focus more on the reason why I went there - to study 128218128218128218 128513

So still, I thank Seattle's Best for helping me spend half of this day productively. For that, I give this 11088110881108811088
