After another tummy-filling lunch with my teammates, we decided to cap it off with dessert. We were talking about weird flavored desserts over lunch, so we went for Sebastian's--which is again a place I haven't tried yet but have heard so much about.

Sebastian's stall was located in an unassuming part of the Podium, that I didn't realize there was a branch there when I feel like I've explored every corner of said mall. Upon arriving, I got excited to see that there were a lot of flavors to choose from, but the Champorado with Dilis variant immediately caught my attention. Very intriguing. The experience will for sure either be memorable or quite disgusting 128556

I requested for a free taste and it was an entertaining experience. The staff scooped a bit of the ice cream, turned her back for a while, and handed over the sample with a tiny dilis on top of it. I hesitated for a while, but was sold, upon tasting it. It was almost exactly like waking up to a rainy morning, and having a bowl of champorado with dilis bits for breakfast. Only this was frozen and was supposed to be dessert. Really unusual, but definitely worked for me!128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼

Hence, I ordered said flavor, alongside another scoop of Peanut Butter Cup, and I loved every bite! Will definitely be back to try the other flavors-- green mango with bagoong, sapin sapin, and salted egg flavored ice cream sound lovely 128525

I've always loved their flavors from champorado with dilis to green mango with bagoong. :) But this time, I tried a more normal ice cream flavor which is butter pecan and it was REALLY good. 10084128523127846 Sorry, no photos.

Sebastian's is one of the front runners for artisan ice cream in the Metro.  Ian Carandang is a churning genius.

I got to try Leche Flan con Mangga a couple of days back.  And yes,  it is exquisite.  Leche flan is on the too sweet side for me and i was glad that the ice cream is not.  No 'Umay Factor" the mango adds the  refreshing-summery element and it goes well with the leche flan.

The mangga at suman is mediocre,  Manila Creamery is still king when it comes the the kakanin inspired frozen treat.  Flavor and consistency is on point,  i prefer MC because of the suman bits.  This little mishap didn't deter us from finishing the cup.

Sebastian's is still the go-to-place for artisan ice cream.  Albeit the arrival of international brands and local brands,  Sebastian's still has a stronghold in terms of taste,  quality and innovation.

Happiness in a cup 128522

This ice cream place has interesting flavors. Didn't brave to try green mango with bagoong or the once in a blue moon (blue cheese) ... Maybe next time. It is located in an open space at the 4th floor of The Podium Mall.

For tonight, i' tried one of their best seller: Cookie Dough (vanilla ice cream with unbaked chocolate chip dough & walnuts). Its simple yet its nutty and not that sweet. 1 scoop is P110. I added P15 for their brewed coffee 128522 coffee is half the price if you buy a scoop of their ice cream.

My all time favorite from Sebastian's is their Up All Night which is rarely available. I actually shrieked when I spotted it in their display. I just love the creaminess of the ice cream with a slightly bitter taste. That one scoop has generous chunks of chocolate and Reese's. Long time craving satisfied!

P.S. I love that their area is bigger now compared to when they first opened years ago.

I say this without bias or compromise: In my honest opinion, Sebastian's Ice Cream is the best Ice Cream in all of Metro Manila. And before you think about contesting this statement, know that this is coming from an ice cream aficionado.

No, I don't have any ties with the owners of Sebastian's but I can confidently say that every flavor here will bring you to your knees. I am forever in love with their Butter Pecan Ice Cream! It is unparalleled in its taste, consistency, and texture AND I can tell that the ingredients used are the finest of their kind.

Eating Sebastian's Ice Cream is a luxury and an otherworldly experience! I'm usually not one to talk about food (especially desserts) like this, but it is true.

Cheers,
Mickey

I like the concept of serving local favorites (like champorado, sapin-sapin, mango with bagoong, etc.) in a form of ice cream.

I tried Fudge Chocolate Truffle Burger while my friend tried the Red Velvet Chilly Burger. I liked the Red Velvet better though coz it's not "nakakaumay". Anyhow, both are thick and tasty.

A personal favorite is the green mango with bagoong! Real bagoong on top of the icecream!

Although this time I tried the sapin sapin which was also really yummy!! Love that they incorporated our local delicacies in their yummy ice creams!

Red velvet chilly burger! 128539128539128539128539128539

They have other new flavors for their chilly burgers but I decided to stick with the classic red velvet... Which wasn't bad but after some time, I kind of got umay-ed. I guess it would've been better if I shared it with someone else lol.

If I were to come back to a Sebastian's (I'm sure I will), I think I'll just go back to their champorado flavored ice cream. 128539

Best artisan ice cream in Manila. I would recommend you try their chocolate chip cookie dough. Or if you are feeling adventurous try their manga at bagoong flavor. That's right. Green mango and shrimp paste flavor.

Food
Delicious and creamy! So many selections to choose from; plus, they're very explorative on their flavors. Tried their product with Bagoong and Champorado! Ingenious yet tasted good though.

Green Mango with Bagoong, Champorado with Dilis?! Chilly Burgers and Dive Bars ?! These are just some of the unique flavors you can find here... If you're the adventurous type, there are quite a few you can try 128522

I, however was not quite ready... still prefer the regular ice cream flavors 128514 had a grand time tasting a few of them before settling on the Nutella dive bar @100 and a scoop of peanut butter cup @100 128525128525 Both very very good 128077

Artisan ice cream haven! Ah! Every time I'll go here in Podium, I always make sure to drop by Sebastian's and cool down, whatever the weather is!

This time, I had Chocolate Fudge ice cream bar. I'm not sure if that's how they really call it, kind of forgot na. 9996

Being the ultimate chocolate lover that I am, this flavor is nothing but perfection! It wasn't umay-sweet, the ice cream was thick and really fudge-y!

Aside for this ice cream parlor's huge selection of flavors, I also love how the staff recommend and explain the them!

I can't wait for my next visit! Yiee!

Always been my favourite ice cream shop. Love the Once in a Blue Moon ice cream. Very exotic but if you love blue cheese, this is the ice cream for you. But for my visit now, I am trying Tres Leches for the first time Made from Condensed Milk, Evaporated Milk, Cream and loaded with pound cake chunks. You can really taste the rich milk ingredients that they used.

Of course I got my staple palate cleanser after eating at Madeca. Tried Sapin Sapin flavor cause of the fun colors hehe it was interesting because the texture somehow feels like the real thing the first time it touches your tongue. This place really deserves to be called artisanal ice cream 128523
