My favorite hotel for events and staycation.

Clean rooms. I love that I can lower the A/C's temp 10 degrees. Friendly staff. The pillows are very comfortable. The room smells good.

Food in the function room are a perfect 10. I love the menu choices.

Buffet breakfast is to die for. It has various choices. The crispy bacon is my favorite.

Came in for a meeting with MDC. It's my first time to see their function room. We were provided with a pencil and paper for the meeting and coffee and a few snacks.

The place was clean and it was quite spacious for 4 tables and a long table for the big bosses. They used several units of microphones during the meeting and I like the quality of their equipments. The sound of the speakers are loud and clear. The speakers in the ceiling were also placed perfectly, where sound is not dominant only on one of my ears, not to make listeners dizzy and half deaf after the talk. I was more on the right side of the room, but sound is still okay. 128522

For a 4-star hotel, I find their facilities medyo bitin. I mean yes they have complete facilities for a 4 star hotel but I feel like they cramped up all these facilities just for everything to fit.

First, the lobby. It is super tight and it gets really crowded. We are a group of 8 people and I feel like it's very crowded already. Beside the reception is the buffet and it's really spacious.
❓What did seda lobby ask the buffet area?
"Penge space" haha im so corny.128546

The elevators were okay. There's only two and i think that's enough for an 11 floor building. It's quite fast naman. And I like the security of having to tap your room key to access your floor :)

The rooms are okay. few basic furniture. A bed with two side tables, a cabinet and a writing desk.

The bathroom is just so basic. The usual stuff without the bathtub. Just the shower which is actually big for the overall size of the bathroom.

This hotel is very convenient because it's right across Abreeza Ayala Mall. As in upon exiting the lobby, there's a stretch of pedestrian lane going to the entrance of the mall. That's why we decided to let our guests check in here because even if we don't assist them, they'll have something to do. (Not saying were bad at hosting guests or anything. HAHA) Abreeza is a good mall, more shops compared to other malls.

The curtains are i think broken. You can close it but opening it needs a little more effort. Something wrong with the tracks:)

I just wished their floors were carpeted though. Instead of just an area rug under the bed.

Also, I'm kinda disturbed that I hear the noise from the other room, especially the sound of their television. And this is exactly why hotels should have carpet flooring. It helps absorb sound so it won't bounce around the room.

Sorry about the photo. I wanted to take a pic of the newly opened and untouched bed but our guests were too tired! Haha

Went on a quick overnight work trip to Davao and was fortunate enough to be billeted at Seda Abreeza. Found it to be a comfy hotel with nice rooms, great ambience, and a good location right across the Ayala Abreeza mall. Service was great and the staff was friendly. The food, however, was just so-so for me. I wouldn't mind coming here again though! 128077

For our five-day stay in Davao, we booked it in Seda (since it is literally just a pedestrian away from the mall). We had the Club room for our first night since all deluxe were booked and the Deluxe room for the rest.

Being in a Club room have its perks; Afternoon tea and Evening cocktails at the Executive lounge. You can enjoy different drinks and just lay around the lounge or even in your own room. Plus you can get away from the crowded restaurant on the ground floor and have a peaceful breakfast at the lounge.

For the rest of our stay, it was a pleasant experience. Staff were accommodating. I asked for a lot of stuffs like flat iron, another chair, different kind of tea, and I even asked minced onion 128517 and they give it to me quickly. 128077 The only thing was that it took me few minutes before they answer the phone.

Oh and I'd like you to know that they have MacBooks in their holding area and lounges. Pretty cool huh? 128516

If you want a good night's sleep after tiring days of roaming around Davao City, I highly recommend Seda Abreeza. It is in a perfect location: close to everywhere you want and need to go and just across a mall! The room is big and clean and the bed is a joy to sleep on :) yes, i get picky with regards the bed of where i stay. :) they have really friendly Tagalog speaking staff and the have a smoking area, too. This is rare for Davao hotels as we all know. They serve really good food buffet at their in-house restaurant and I found my new favorite beer, Somersby, at the bar. :) I just think they should install a bidet in the toilet, granted that it is an expensive hotel.
They also have a gym, a pool and a penthouse lounge. :)

I always ask for freshly pressed coffee and not the thermos brew. Some Hotels give it , Seda charges for it over the gallons free with breakfast... I had 3 cups ... No refil 0 well thats how important the first taste in the morning is ... 3 hundred P plus for coffee then skipped the buffet breakfast ... 0 calories so far ;-)

When in Davao, we usually sleep in my tito's house. That weekend, though, my parents didn't want to be a bother because he was hosting other relatives who came for his daughter's wedding.

Mommy and I, having "flexible work hours" flew ahead of the rest of the family so we were the only ones who stayed here.128513

Points for Seda:
+ Just across Abreeza

Points against:
- No parking
- Pool is exposed to construction workers of the building right next to it! 128584

To complete my review, I also wanted to do short write-up on their gym.

The gym opens at 5:30 AM so I was able to do a quick 6k on the treadmill and 2 rounds of light free weights. Equipment is all new so this is a big plus. I also like the fact that they let natural light in through the large floor to ceiling window walls. Towels are freely available and so is water. The gym is located near the pool so you could also take a quick shower then jump in if you so choose.

All in all, room + breakfast buffet + gym, this is a good value hotel for both business travellers and tourists alike.

To continue my review of this hotel, I had their breakfast buffet very early today. No wonder Kristella D reserved her comments. The buffet covers all the food groups but is very Spartan in nature. Not a lot of choices. The ones that I did choose though were very well done; Hungarian sausage was spiced just right, omelet was not runny (cooked to order), and the has browns were not oily. The fruits were all ripe and sweet, especially the pineapples.

My favorite was their coffee. That was very good coffee, other than the fact that it was freshly brewed, it had a distinctly different flavor. I can't place it but that made this buffet stand out.

Nicely done Seda!

Finally, a hotel that changes the game in Davao. Good bye musty smell of RM and absurd prices of MP. Seda Abreeza Hotel just raised the bar.

This is probably a cross between a businessman's hotel and a tourist's hotel. The lobby is small compared to the luxury hotels but much bigger and more stylish than the budget hotels. Check-in is straight forward. I was made to sign a pre-prepared info sheet, given free wi-fi instructions, told about the gym location and breakfast schedule then pointed to the elevator, all in a span of 7 minutes. All that with a friendly smile and lovely tone of voice.

I ushered myself into my room and was greeted with a huge bed in the middle of a modern room with nice clean lines. No bathtub but the shower is spacious. Well stocked mini bar, free coffee, flat screen HD TV and lot of wall outlets to charge laptops, cellphones, ipads and what have you.

The room smells fresh with no lingering smell of cigarettes (probably because they take the no smoking ordinance seriously in Davao). The airconditioning is quiet and the sound proofing is great! The bed is firm not hard and the pillows are just soft enough to support your head and neck.

If the rooms are an indication of the quality of this hotel, I can't wait to review the breakfast buffet and gym. 128516
