Note: This is for their stall in Makati Cinema Square.

I frequent MCS for bargain books and their thrift shops. Who would've thought that my favourite Thai food stall is the same as the one I visited in ParaƱaque a couple of months back.

I call this Poor Man's Pad Thai (in a good way, not like crack or anything that has a negative connotation). One serving is priced at php 110 and you get authentic stir fry noodles. The flavour is on point, generous servings of bean sprouts, tofu and chicken chunks. And you know what's the best part, they serve the dish fresh off the wok. Nothing beats an affordable, freshly cooked meal on a gloomy day.

Peace Out!

Visit this stall if you want to reminisce about the Quay Tiew Noodle Soup you had in the streets of Bangkok. This branch is in the foodcourt, so it kind of mimics the crowded feel of Bangkok hawker bazaars/food stalls. I skipped the balls, meat and dumplings as it sort of dint taste okay the last time I had them -- like the dumplings were not cooked well, and the meatballs had a blah taste to it. I got the Spring Rolls instead -- bad idea! You get 4 huge fried rolls stuffed with nothing but bland glass noodles and such. Needless to say, I dint finish it. But the noodles...ah....I put in the perfect amount of all the works: dried chili, peanuts, washed sugar, pepper and fish sauce. Good to the last drop :)

I didn't bother anymore to take a picture. I tried their mixed noodle soup (I relied on the owner's recommendation). The beef and noodles were ok but the soup was too greasy for my taste, the meatballs weren't what I expected (I was expecting real meat not the squidball or fishball type) and the wanton wasn't well-cooked (It tasted raw). The owner and his staff were very friendly though so I feel a little guilty about this review.128532 I just saw in some reviews that their pad thai is excellent. Maybe I'll try that next time.

This is Authentic Thai! If you have tried Sen Lek from other branches, it's now in the malls. The owner eats their own cooking, which is good. Thai noodles and pad Thai are full of herbs and the servings are big. Prices never go higher than P100! I can actually eat here everyday and have a healthy diet!
