Seoul Koreana has been in Westgate for so long, it has seen the changes and passing of time so I thought it must be good to have lasted all these years! However, I was mistaken and I now know the reason too why they are still there 9757
When we entered, it took about a couple of minutes before anyone approached us. My sister taught me the 10 second rule wherein if nobody approaches/entertains you in 10 seconds then you can walk out. I really wanted to have Korean food that night so I stuck it out. There were a lot of servers na mukhang 'busy' pero wala naman talagang ginagawa.
Ok so we were finally led to a table. We just wanted dolsot bibimbap, bulgogi and soup so we got that.
Service was below satisfactory IMO. Mga Hindi naka ngiti, tipong busy busyhan Lang. Food took more than 20 minutes! Wtf! Naka 2 follow up ako 128529 ok naman yung food but man not worth a 20 minute wait.
While waiting for our food I noticed that busloads of Korean tourists started coming in, as in around 60 sila. So we figured that the owner of this resto must've tied up with a tourist agency and they are part of the tour! Kse kung based Lang sa food and service Hindi talaga papasa!
Anyways, needless to say it was our first and last time there.

They have super good jajangmyun (black bean noodles) BUT it's a secret character because it's not on their menu. You have to ask the waitress. Super good, i recommend this dish! :)

Other than that, i also like their chap chae and kimbap. I think they really do a good job with the basic dishes. They've got them covered. :)

When we were there, a group nearby was drinking a bit of soju and beer. They were a bit noisy so i had to speak to my partner in a louder voice than usual. This is often the case with Korean-owned establishments - the food is top-notch but the tradeoff is a bit of noise from soju-loving customers. That's fine by me!

That's it. Take care everyone. :) stay mahusay!

I find it difficult to review Korean restaurants as they typically have the same traditional recipes. This has to be 2nd on my list of Korean restaurants that have kept its quality despite a the change in management. I've gone to korea before and their food has not failed my taste buds so far.

Familiarity of the waiters is also a plus as they are very accommodating. Basically you get the most of every buck spent here and they've managed to be consistent not like the others that continually pop out from the small korea towns. Best part about being in Westgate is that you get ample amounts of parking then you've got a 2 storey building dedicated for the resto itself so thats pretty neat. I've gone around BF and Alabang and this one's on top of my list of Korean Restos. :)

Bibimbap - simple but a mouthful of flavors. Plus a lot of side dishes that you can have refilled unlimited! Their menu has all the right korean favorites which is mouth watering! You should give it a try and the price is really reasonable!
