Though it rained last saturday, it was still hot with the sticky ewii icky feeling 128529128557128534 so Ony & I decided to go here at Serenitea. Instead of ordering our usually milkteas, we decided to try something new again.

Mango Green Tea Fruitea (50% sugar) with grass jelly for him and Green Tea Slush (0% sugar) for me.

The mango green tea was surprisingly good and very refreshing. The 50% sugar level was just right. Not too sweet and not too bitter slash weird. The grass jelly was just too mushy, soft and weird. Didn't liked it.

And finally, was able to try the Green Tea Slush with 0% sugar level. Since you can't adjust the sweetness level, it's either you go all out 100% sugar level or none at all and enjoy the bitter rich leafy herbal weird green tea after taste. I decided to go all out green tea after taste! 128518 The drink was just okay. Since there was no sugar added, you get to really taste the green tea. Would have been so much better if the ice was blended well. Or should have asked for lesser ice. Also, I think that in general, I like the hot version of any green tea drink over the iced and iced blended/frappe. 128517

I haven't had Serenitea for a long while simply because I haven't been seeing one lately. When We had a chance to do our grocery rounds in ATC, Serenitea was inevitable.

I had these for two days in a row - Sat & Sun: Large Green Tea Latte, 100% sugar level, less ice, no sinkers x peppered corn x chicken chops! So good. The pepper and spices mixed and smothered into their corn and chicken were so addicting. One order is never enough!

Planning on copying the peppered corn and chicken chops at home since the husband and daughter liked them too and we kinda want A LOT and we can't keep buying from Serenitea coz it'll be too expensive 128563

It's beside Sai-bachi so I can turn Japanese effortlessly with an order of my all-time favorite Uji Pyramid! I think Serenitea is the best thing that ever happened to Filipino food scene after chori-burger and cebu-chon.

The classic Okinawa Milk Tea is one of my favorites. I always take it with pearls and only "half-sugar". Serenitea remains to be my top choice for milk tea. But they serve snacks as well. My favorite is their Chicken Chops. It's TO DIE FOR. I can eat as many as I can in one sitting. Haha!

I have finally tried the famous wintermelon milk tea! I got one large wintermelon milk tea with black bricks (serenitea's lighter, in terms of density, version of coffee jelly) at 25% sugar level. I thought getting it at 25% was a safe bet since i am not fond of really sweet milk teas. I enjoyed this one but found it too sweet. I think its flavor is caramel-y and the slightly strong coffee flavor of the black bricks balanced well with the flavor of the drink.

I bought this because my sister and i watched rio2 (we're not used to going to the cinema without drinking/munching on something). If you liked rio, you'll love rio2! 128518 i'm already 18 and i laughed so hard at some parts. It's a fun movie to watch with anybody, really.

Btw, if you ever plan on watching a movie while drinking milk tea, try to get a seat near the edge. You might need to go to the bathroom quite frequently. 128513

Congrats, self! You finally got to try their wintermelon milktea! Server said their milk's dairy-free, edi syempre ngiting wagi ako kanina, haha! Though I'm still doubtful about it. I should've asked the server to show the milk carton to me! Haha pero di pa naman sumasakit yung tiyan ko so baka nga dairy-free talaga siya 128539

Anyhow, kuya ordered chicken chops as well. Ang sarap! Bagay siya sa drink, hehe.

Thanks kuya Erick B for the treat, and welcome back to the Souuuuthhh! 128587 (Tagging ate Magsie B as well!) 128522

I've always loved Serenitea and my go to drink is the Hokkaido Milk Tea (large, 70%, no sinkers, brewed twice). In fact, one of the owners is my friend and she uploaded an interesting looking drink one time and I asked what it was. She said it was the Choco Macha Frost so I decided to try it the next time I went. Although I really love the Hokkaido Milk Tea, the caffeine can be too much for me sometimes!
The Choco Macha is a delicious combination of chocolate milk and green tea frosting. I liked it a lot and it's a good alternative to milk tea lest I want to stay up the whole night hehe.
We also got the pepper corn which has been one of my favorites too. If we hadn't had dinner, I would've gotten the chicken chops as well hehe 128522

After being adventurous and trying different drinks over the past week, i decided to just stay within my comfort zone and order my favorite drink, the winterfrost.

I like the taste it makes when the special frost combines with the wintermelon tea. Its just a little sweet, with more flavor. Their special frost is comparable to that of happy lemon but i think this one is better. Happy lemon has just too much frost added to their drink. Gong chs on the other hand has less frost ir maybe its because theirs is not so thick.

Anyway, i love this drink n0 doubt.

This branch had it in stock! Thank goodness! They even left the calamansi inside the drink. I missed you my CBT! 128536128536128536100841008410084

After a looong time... I just couldn't take it anymore. I wanted milk tea!

This time I wanted a plain milk tea so I tried the emperor milk tea 50% sugar level no sinkers. Parang kulang sa lasa then I remembered 50% lang pala sugar level. Oh well, the royal tea's still good.

The lady from the counter misheard my name. Maybe I should also tell that my name is Anna like Peanut D.

I am Avely and I miss Selenitea! 128513

CBT
✅ 50% sugar
✅ Regular ice
✅ With kiamoy
✅ Sinker 1: green tea jelly
✅ Sinker 2: perilla

I chanced upon perilla years ago at Pizza Hut Bistro. They served their iced tea with those slimy floating seeds that tasted really good and worked well with their tea. Unfortunately, they don't have the proper name for those li'l buggers. As I was waiting in line watching Serenitea's infomercial, one of their drinks featured perilla and finally!!! I have a name!!! Had to get them for my drink 128513128513128513

From WiseGeek: The perilla seed itself is extremely small and fragile, measuring about a millimeter in size. Perilla provides a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids. In Chinese medicine, the seed is believed to offer health benefits for the large intestines and the lungs. The seed is commonly used to resolve problems like asthma, prevent coughing and even help with constipation.

P.S. Again, I THINK I had special treatment as I was waiting because of my Cookie Monster-colored |ooloo shirt, the staff kept on asking if my order was ready and sped things up. I got my drink in less than a minute and that was fast considering the previous order had 4 drinks.

Large Chaffe MT with black bricks(coffee jelly), 25% sugar level. milk tea and coffee's love child = Chaffe 128541

It's my first time to try serenitea and honestly, i really liked it. Their coffee jelly could be more firm but the taste was awesomely awesome. It's kind of bitter therefore it's perfect with sweet milk tea. Their coffee jelly tastes like those japanese coffee jelly desserts minus the sweet cream. The chaffe MT was good. Though i don't think this is the one for me. I still need to try other flavors. I wanted to try the looloo famous calamansi black tea but I was craving for milk tea at that time. So, instead, i got a milk tea and made a mental note to get a CBT on my next visit. 128513

Ansabe ni Serenitea kay Starbucks? Teh, wala ng launching launching, ITEY NA!!!

When I ordered a Wintermelon Sweet (with Nata this time), I was offered their Loyalty card. I got it for P250, kaso P100 lang laman. You get points for every purchase you make, and then you can redeem products when you accumulate the points.

Anyway, I think I like the WIntermelon Sweet better pala with Pearls than Nata. Oh well...

Finally got the chance to grab the famous CBT!

I was ordering my CBT when the cool dudette that gave me a Calamansi Tea 101 the last time approached the counter. He looked at me and said - " Sabi na nga ba si ma'am ulit to eh!" Yay! He remembered! Then he asked why I was going for the CBT instead of the CGT. I said I just wanted to compare. Then he said that it will not have the kiamoy and the calamansi fruit. I was like - that's okay 128518

Large CBT, 100% sugar, no sinker - I was quite surprised when I took a sip. It tasted differently. I mean, it was sour but lacking a certain sweetness that I was looking for. It also tasted bitter 128555 Not sure if it was because I haven't had anything else and was fresh from brushing my teeth?!? 128513 The tooth paste taste could have blended or whatever? Or was it really the blend? Gah! Anyway, I didn't like it this time! 128532128530128547

Guess I'm leaning towards the Green Tea version 128518

Still giving this review 4 stars because the staff, George (picture above 128070), remembered me and my name too! Didn't give my name this time but it was on the sticker! Cool yo! 1280779996128076

Calamansi Green Tea! Amasareeehhh my CBT Friends. I needed to try this out just to find out if it really tastes better than our trusty Calamansi Black Tea!

I was early so I was so sure that they still have lotsa calamansi! Large Calamansi Green Tea, 100% sugar with no sinkers. The staff was the same cool dudet that gave me my CBT 101 (the term from Carla M 9996) the other day. He politely asked for 5 minutes prep time and I didn't complain. I just thought - mag ssqueeze pa cya ng calamansi! Lelz 128518

I wasn't expecting much from this drink since I'm not a fan of Jasmine Green Tea. I like Matcha but not Jasmine which is usually the tea bag version of green tea. But but but! The drink came out really good (heller Neil R 128518). The flowery taste that I hate surprisingly blended well with calamansi. There was still the flowery after taste but it was okay. It was refreshing!

Now I need to order CBT to determine the winner!

Calamansi Black Tea League, unite! Bleh! Ahahha! Yesterday, I learned something from Serenitea...

It was grocery Sunday and we were in ATC. Serenitea is inevitable since it was just beside Metro Supermarket. I asked for CBT but was not available! Fudge! So I asked why it's always unavailable, in any given branch. The perky and friendly staff told me that it's really a best seller and there are times that their supply gets out of stock. Then I asked if they use calamansi concentrate and was told that they don't - they use the real thing, patiently squeeze each one to make the infamous drink! Wow! HERO!

Then I ordered for another favorite - Matcha Latte, Large with pearls. Winner! Love the Matcha kick and the refreshing finish!

While waiting, chinicka ko si bekla and was so glad that he was so accommodating! I asked - why is it that not all branches include a piece of calamansi into the drink (I remember the Looloo thread about it meheee!). The staff explained --

128073 If its Calamansi BLACK and WHITE Tea : quiamoy and the calamansi fruit are not mandatory... BUT you can request for them to be added

128073 If its Calamansi GREEN Tea : quiamoy and the piece of calamansi are mandatory unless you ask for any to be removed

I was like... owwwwwwww ... Then I explained further that I have never asked for Calamansi Green Tea before but I always get the fruit piece into the drink but noticed that I was never asked if I wanted quiamoy or have never seen it in my drink... he answered ... owwwww interesting ma'am... Wahahhahaha! Ang kulit mo beks!

Anyway... I'll try to order the Green Tea next time and I'll see... He also said that Green Tea goes well with Calamansi rather than black or white tea!
