People who knows me I’m not into sweet drinks like juice or soda (unless there’s alcohol involved haha). Ice cream will do but strangely not all milkshake flavors. So I didn’t order their shakes because it’s just too sweet for me.

I tried their healthy frozen strawberry yogurt instead and I liked it. I got the large size (Php 250). It’s too pricey for my taste.

Hehe I already knew I’d be giving this place 3 stars even before walking in... But what can I do??? I was PMS-y. Mahina kalaban mga beshie!!! 128557

They have so much stuff on their menu! Nakakalula!!! But thankfully, the ladies over at the counter will give you a smaller version of their menu so walang ma-sstiffneck dito mga mumsh.

After 5-10 minutes (hala OA) of going through their items, we decided to go with their Mike (which had Reese’s peanut butter cups, Milo and whipped cream) and red velvet shake. I kind of regret ordering the basic red velvet milkshake because it wasn’t very good. I’d rather have Starr’s version. Not only was it not good, it was also pricey... The Mike drink was also pricey but at least malasa naman 128554

If ever I decide to go back, I’ll just order their pre-made/combo drinks. And I think you should too if you feel like spending an unecessary amount of money on milkshakes lol.

Everyone in the store was friendly though! And the whole place was just so bright! 128525

They say "there's always room for deserts" and my friends and I couldn't agree more. We opted to try Starr's in UP Town Center but the place was jam packed - making the place humid 128293

Anyway, plan B was to try Shakeaway and thankfully there's room for us and the place was well ventilated. But is that a good thing? Hmmm...

They have their menus printed on the table already but I was sitting on the wrong side so I asked for a copy. And boy was it confusing! Having a wide range of selection is usually good but having too much is a no-no, at least in my (our) opinion.

After a few minutes of deciding which milkshake to try, I ordered the New York Cheesecake milkshake (in photo). My friends tried the Summer Sally fro-yo (in photo), Speculoos, Chili Chocolate and Chocolate Granola.

New York Cheesecake 12777512777512777511088️ - this is a no-brainer. Classic, but what wowed me would be the cheesecake itself. I love how I get bits of the cake and also some lemon rinds to give it the tangy taste. However, their milkshakes were not thick enough! Unlike other milkshake stores which serves thick milkshakes, theirs are like literal milk. This goes for all the milkshakes we ordered.

Summer Sally 11088️ - err, who puts whipped cream on a fro-yo? Sorry, not a fan of this. Plus the yoghurt has a curdled texture. Again, no thanks.

Speculoos 127775127775127775 - you can taste the cookie here but I would've enjoyed a more intense flavor.

Chili Chocolate 127775127775127775 - I'm half-hearted! Don't know if I liked it or not haha! Anyway, the "hotness" was faint but that's understandable since this is a cold dessert.

Choco granola 1108811088️ - faint taste and I feel like it would go well with a scoop of chocolate ice cream - they used vanilla.

The verdict - for the price (190 regular, 250 large - for their classic/one flavor) I just didn't feel like I got my money's worth. And they better update their menu. Green peas and onion shake? How about a 900-peso shake with gold flakes? Really?

Milkshakes are so-so. Have them once in a while if there's a craving.
Coffee is the worst thing you'll find. I'd settle for 3-in-1 rather than this excuse for coffee. Watered down and without aroma or flavor.

Anything from Shakeaway would be perfect with this heat. Shaved ice, yogurt, milkshake... healthy, sinful... Sweet, fruity, chocolatey...

Me and Ze homies (FoodSocietyPh) took the invite from Shakeway a couple of weeks back. It was a weekday so there were only a few people when we arrived. We were assisted by Ms. Zerlyn.

Shakeaway is a milkshake shop that originated from UK where they currently have 50 branches. I believe they have 30 international branches with Manila being their second flagship in Asia.

Looking at the menu can be overwhelming! There are 180 flavors and millions of combinations to choose from. Milkshakes, real fruit yoghurt desserts, shaved ice, hot shakes and low fat cispy tasty fries. It's like milkshake on stereoids. lol

Don't fret as they have a reliable crew that you can always ask.

Their aim is for every flavor to taste exactly like the original and that's what I tasted from the samples we tried. I enjoyed:

Casey - chocolate crinckles & nestle crunch with whipped cream on top.

Jose - Ube & macapuno with pinipig on top. This shake is exclusive to the Philippines.

The Pullover Pam is a hot drink and has nutella & peanut topped with marshamallows. Not a fan of nuttela so this was just okay.

I also tried their yoghurt with a good number of mango cubes. This is perfect if you want your yoghurt with less tartness.

The healthy shake with Kale was surprisingly good! It tasted like avocado with the right blend of creaminess and sweetness.

Each cup can be expensive but I guess it's the price that you have to pay when your beverage is hand made to order and it aims to deliver the original taste.

I've recently won their Instagram contest which was a collaboration with Booky and thank God I did since there is no day in life I would spend P250 pesos for a regular sized milkshake or did I just get the wrong flavor?

I've won one of their famous worlwide named shakes, Max. I was in for a surprise when I first tasted it, the mint chocolate was really strong and overpowering I didn't even appreciate the small white chocolate chips on top.

Ambient wise, the place felt bland and dull. I love how it is really bright though and the pastel blue motif (close enough to that) caught my eyes! Milkshakes were quickly served... I guess about 5 minutes or so and the staff were in fact kind of friendly. One of their staff even took our Instax pic outside the vicinity without any hesitation.

To sum it all up, it was a plain experience. You know, sakto lang. Meh. But I really wanna go back and try their other flavors!

Overall rating: 5.5/10 ;p

Yay I won in the Phonebooky + Shakeaway contest on Instagram and just today I got my prize. It was the Jose Milkshake, a flavor that's (obviously) exclusive here in the Philippines. Shakeaway is a UK-based milkshake company and now they've already put up its first Philippine branch at UP Town Center.

I presented my ID to the crew who would confirm if I was indeed one of the winners of the Jose Milkshake.

I liked this milkshake. It was "malinamnam" but not "nakakaumay". The pinipig would have given the milkshake the texture but they were rather "makunat." So instead I let the pinipig get soaked in the milkshake for a while until they reached the softness that I wanted. A little inconvenience, though -- as expected, some of the pinipig came with bits of husks so I had to spit them as they were indeed hard and inedible. Otherwise, 'twas delightful in every sip -- loved the macapuno bits. I was quite "chuffed" ("pleased" in British English).

If you buy the Jose Milkshake, it is priced at ₱250 (regular) and ₱310 (large) -- pretty steep for a milkshake. But it made me full already, so I might say it's good for sharing.

After using up the GCs I won from Manila Creamery, we agreed to extend our dessert to include Shakeaway on our UP Town Center conquest for that day.

When we arrived, almost all tables were occupied, except for one, and so we settled and discussed our orders. We initially debated on trying out the millionaire's milkshake, but ended up ordering their best selling milkshake and yogurt. EJ was the one who lined up and ordered for the group.

While EJ was lining up, I started to observe the atmosphere of this shop. Shakeaway was able to lure in people and groups of all ages. There were families (with toddlers), barkadas, couples, etc. The interior of the place, however, is less than okay. It's as if the walls were just covered with big tarpaulins with photos of their milkshakes. Wooden floor, tables and chairs that are all white, lightings that are all fluorescent. The only thing I liked about it is the stack of storage for their ingredients. It's cool how you'll be able to imagine the loads of combinations you can have seeing all of these ingredients behind the counter. It also sort of excites you and makes you want to peek, like a child in a candy shop.

After a few minutes, EJ came walking back with our desserts. We tried the milkshake first, followed by the yogurt.

127744Dave P390 (large)
(Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Bueno topped with crumbled Cadbury flakes)
Just seeing this description already made me drool, because I loooove all these chocolates (especially Kinder Bueno 128513). We were provided with straws with wide, spoon-like ends, supposedly (I believe) to aid in the sipping process. We found it difficult to use, but it eventually gave in and we finally got a sip and it was... meh.. The thickness of the milkshake was poor. There were also small, flaky chocolates in every sip, which I think is from the ferrero's coating. It's an insult to the chocolates involved. They can do better.

127744John Yogurt P190
(Banana and honey with crunchy mixed nuts)
Since their best seller for the yogurt is also full of chocolates, EJ chose the next best available, and this was it. Upon first bite the first thing I was able to notice was the texture of the yogurt. It wasn't smooth. It's as if there was more ice than any other ingredient in the making of the yogurt. It was also bland. The banana and the nuts didn't make much of a difference in the dessert. This was really plain.

For the price we paid for the milkshake and the yogurt, I'm sure I'm better off if I spent it on other desserts. It will take a lot of convincing to make me spend my money on this again. It's not impossible, but it'll take time. Perhaps they will improve once the hype drops and they can finally concentrate on the quality of their food.

Shakeaway is the original re-inventor of milkshakes now with more than 180 flavours and millions of possible combinations.

Located at C1101F Ground floor Phase 2 UP Town Center.

Went there last Dec 4 after we had dinner at Barkada Eat and Drink. Kids are excited to try eat.

First I got Dave! Ferrero Rocher and tasty kinder Bueno forming a perfect couple with a Cadbury flake crumbled on top. I can really taste my fave ferrero but the problem it's hard to sip as it was blocking the straw. Price is around 200 plus.

Then kids shared with the yogurt chocolate which I forgot the name.

There were many seats and the place was neat and spacious , willing to try next time other combinations but find it really pricey .

The World's Largest Milkshake Bar Company "SHAKEAWAY" is now in the Philippines. They open their first store in U.P. Town Center last month bringing 180 flavors of milkshakes we can try.

Shakeaway is a franchise from England. The first store was built in Bournemouth in year 1999. Now, Shakeaway have several branches worldwide. With its flagship store in the Philippines. Shakeaway made a milkshake exclusive only in this country, they named it "Jose", an ube & macapuno milkshake with pinipig on top. But we didn't try "Jose" Milkshake, instead we had their bestsellers around the world. We had "Dave" Milkshake and "John" Yoghurt.

"For the first look of the price, the milkshake was really pricey but if you figure out what's on it - imported chocolates like Ferrero, Cadbury and Kinder Bueno I'm pretty sure it's justifiable. For me, I can taste all the chocolate flavors and I like it. The only problem was the straw, they need to change into bigger one."

127847"John" Yoghurt for Regular-Php250.00/ Large-Php310.00 (banana & honey with crunchy mixed nuts) - 110881108811088️ 3/5
"This one was really expensive and it was just okay. Compare to other yoghurt store Shakeaway yoghurt was bland."

Great Britain invades Philippines. Let's see how this milkshake giant shakes away the lives of the Filipinos, well, Chinoy in my case.

128204Frozen Yoghurt @190PhP
128073🏻John
This is composed of frozen yoghurt with bananas, honey and mixed nuts. The price is already typical of normal frozen yoghurt delights, the size too is competitive. The taste and consistency is such a downfall and tugs down all of its good points. I did not like the rough consistency. It's not as smooth as BLK or Pinkberry. To be a little rough, it does not taste high class. The taste lacks the sourness I'm looking for.

128204milkshake @220PhP
128073🏻Dave
Contains rocher ferrero and kinder bueno (wth is that) and additional 80PhP for Cadbury flake on top. (What?! I can buy a small bar of Cadbury with that!!) we had ice cream as the base of our milk shake.
On top of that we have chocolate chips.
128534. That's my face after trying to sip the milk shake using their slim plastic straw (spoon at the end). That's the point. I tried but i was not successful. Apparently the crushed nuts and chocolates got stuck. We had to reverse the straw and take away the obstruction. Still fail on my second try. What i did was to use spoon. After eating a while everything felt like i am eating a super melted double dutch ice cream.

It's complicated.
I've allowed EJ B to choose the flavor since their menu is very confusing. Detail overload.

My pocket was also shaken away even though four of us shared the goods. Lol.

They got the millionaire milkshAke which costs 900PhP and contains old strands. Totally not interested intaking gold. I thought gold is only for adorning. What is interesting is the wicked wendy which contains frozen peas and pickled onions--but im not gonna allow my pocket to be shaken away again.

Shakeaway's flagship store in PH opened 2 weeks ago in UP Town Center. I've been wanting to try this since I saw a friend of mine posted pictures in IG. Good thing I was able to go to this place with |ooloo friends last Saturday.

We were contemplating if we'll get the Millionaire's milkshake for 900php or just buy separate milkshakes which can cost us less. After a few talks, we decided to buy 1 milkshake and 1 froyo.

🔵 "DAVE" Milkshake
Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Bueno with crumbled Cadbury flake on top.

Wait. What? Cadbury on top. Hmmm, I didn't notice this when I was drinking the milkshake. Haha I thought the chocolate bits on top were just ordinary. 128514 Anyway, don't get me wrong. The milkshake tasted good, but not wow-I'll-buy-more good. It was hard to drink, maybe because of the blended Ferrero wafers. One good point? It's not too sweet. But it's not chocolatey either. I was looking for a stronger taste as it was bland for a Ferrero-Kinder milkshake.

🔵 "JOHN" Frozen Yoghurt
Banana and honey with crunchy mixed nuts.

Tbh I loved the toppings. Serving was generous. However I didn't like the consistency of the froyo. It was not smooth as the frozen yoghurt in The White Hat. The yoghurt taste was also lacking. It was sad.

I'm not sure if we just ordered the ✖️ items in the menu but I still want to give Shakeaway another try. I read that they have Andes mint parfait thins shake and "JOSE," which is exclusive to the PH (ube-macapuno).

Service was fast despite the long queue. It's a hit among teens and curious foodies as the restaurant was packed during this visit.

P.S. Their Millionaire's Milkshake consists of Lindt 85% dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, whipped cream and real 23 carat edible gold flakes. Cool stuff!

Midz S EJ B Jayson J see you again soon! 128591🏻9889128517

Their horlicks shake was sad. It was overly sweet and there wasn't a real "horlicks-y" taste to it. 190 for a regular shake was overkill for what i got.

Il prolly comeback, but to try their fro-yo next time.

The arrival of a couple of international  brands is testament of the Filipinos love for food.  We had a couple from Japan and I think that it is high time for the Brits to spread their wings across Asia.

I am talking about one of the largest milkshake chain from United Kingdom.  Everyone, say hi to Shakeaway.

When we talk milkshake,  i am only partial to two flavors - Vanilla and Green Tea.  My decision to swing by Shakeaway is fueled by my fascination with "Jose".  This is one of their named milkshakes and it is only available in Manila.

Shakeaway is hard to miss as it has the brightest facade among all the establishments in the new wing of UPTC.  Apart from the bright lights,  one would not miss the red telephone booth situated near the entrance.   The interior reminds of me of Willy Wonka!  The candies adorning the wall will bring back memories of your childhood.

Anyway,  their milkshake menu me woozy.  There's so much stuff to choose from.  Goos thing,  i was dead set on getting Jose.

| Jose (Php 250, regular.  Php 310, large).  Yes,  it is a bit steep for a milkshake.  Good thing it delivers in the taste department.  This is ube macapuno in milkshake form and it is not too sweet.  The pinipig adds texture and crunch.  I loved every single sip.

Shakeaway pulled off the ube macapuno milkshake flawlessly. If we talk flavor, they pass with flying colors. Not so sure 'bout the price tag though. Their milkshakes is not something a typical Jose,  Pedro and Maria would have regularly,  why?  the price aint fit for 'em.  This would be considered an indulgence for the working class hero.

Peace Out!

The world famous milkshake have finally landed in UP Town Center. The store is located behind Burger King and besides the soon to open Genki Sushi.128522

The place is well lit and very inviting with its clean look. The displayed various chocolates/candies behind the counter will surely bring back the kid in you. Choosing what to order is quite confusing with the various ingredient and combination. So I just went for the signature Named MilkShake. I choose the Philippine Exclusive Jose Milk shake. Regular cup size is for 250PHP. Jose is a combination of ube macapuno and crunchy pinipig. I love it! I love the crunchy pinipig while the ube milkshake just got the right amount of sweetness. Bet other country are jealous of this exclusive drink hahaha. My bro got the Kai. Oreo and matcha milkshake it also tasted great. While my sis got the Fynn. A combination of Speculoos and toffee popcorn. It was a bit sweet and tend to get umay as you drink it.

Overall the milkshakes are really good just a bit expensive for 250PHP. And if you are a bit on the millionaires side try out the millionaires milk shake for 900PHP.128561128561128561 The milkshake got goldflakes hahaha..
