A lot of people eating here during our visit. We visited around lunch on a Sunday. Food was ok though for me it was a bit salty. Service can still be improved. I am not sure if they are undermanned or just too busy serving everyone. Had to ask for service water 3x before i got my water, while there are times that they get our request correctly and immediately. May need more consistency.

Went here with our friends on a Tuesday night and we were surprised this place is so jampacked on a weekday.

We ordered our favorite the Pata Tim with Cuapao. But this particular order wasn't as good as what we had last time. It's still good though. Our friend enjoyed this so much, he had 4 cuapaos!

Our first time to try their Shrimp balls (in picture) and it was really really good. You could see they used real shrimps inside. We are looking forward to eating here again just because of the shrimp ball.

Always a good experience to dine here. We'll definitely be back for more shrimp balls.

Prebirthday dinner for my daughter's Chinese birthday (yes, may ganun). We bought birthday noodles to eat the next day. Eating noodles on your birthday is a must to live a long life. We spent a total of 3500 because we had 3 orders of small noodles and 1 medium order of noodles to go but they had an anniversary promo, and gave us 600 worth of gcs. So, we'll definitely be coming back in the near future.

I grew up attending birthdays, baptism or any other celebration here. Food always tastes the same through the years so that's a good thing.

Haven't tried eating here without any occasion yet. 128540

Second shabu shabu meal in one day! We were here last night for my mom's late birthday celebration. Food here is good. We ordered the pata tim with cuapao, it was so yummy; fried rice; Shangri-La's special noodles and of course, shabu shabu mixed meat and seafood set. I liked their shabu shabu better than the one I had earlier. The waiter told us they will be renovating the shabu shabu part of their resto soon because they are still using gas ranges instead of an induction cooker. I like the food here, this is where I celebrated my 1st birthday some centuries ago, joke lang, some 30years ago. And our family's January 1st gathering is always catered by this restaurant. This is one of the oldies but goodie Chinese resto around.

I grew up around this place and my lolo used to buy their pancit canton all the time... As in halos once a week! We usually eat it with beef tenderloin, which he would bring home for the whole family... Fathers' day makes me miss my lolo and the good times we had just chilling...128522 pretty good Chinese resto and affordable at that!128077

It was one Rainy evening so we decided to order from Shangri-la for delivery. I wanted to try their Crispy seafood noodles but since the one who got my order didn't know which is which, so I ended up having noodles (not crispy) with seafoods and spinach with 2 kinds of egg (century & salted). The noodles was just okay, ofcourse I was eyeing on the crispy noodles. The spinach with egg was flavorful and we had almond jelly with lychee for dessert. 128538

A classic Chinese resto for long time QC residents such as myself. I grew up on their Chinese cuisine, and I loved their food.

I don't go as often as before as this is usually a big group type of place. I normally do North Park, Luk Yuen, Le Ching for my Chinese food fix pero grabe, there are so many Chinese restaurants, and even among Chinese restos, there are various types like Cantonese (like HK), Hainanese, Szechuan, etc.

This is more along the lines of the Chinese food that we are familiar with. And boy, did I miss this.

We ordered our usual favorites...

• Beef Tenderloin Chinese Style - soft beef in sweet & slightly sour red sauce (my fave before) & onions. Still yummy but I can only eat so much unlike the old days. 3.5/5
• Crispy Noodles with Seafood - quite good. Their crispy pancit is thicker unlike another favorite of mine (Superbowl), but it was very delicious. 4.5/5
• Shrimp Balls - theirs is the one I got used to, with croutons instead of the Panko (Japanese) breadcrumbs. Good presentation with a crispy noodle bowl (I don't think it was like this before). Only issue was the cloying factor. Because it was a bit oily, not everyone could finish their 2nd shrimp ball. 128523 #moreforme
• Salt n Pepper Spareribs - a bit moist pork (some are usually drier). Not like what I'm used to. Best seller daw. We just added this to complement our carbo orders. Good taste but not wow. 3/5
• Diced chicken with cashew nuts - simple subtle but I prefer shrimp with cashew nuts. 3/5

Service - 4.5/5 excellent. And they're also younger na, especially the female servers.

Ambience - 3/5

It's steady... They have pretty good Chinese food, and I think nostalgia also helped my high perception (+1), but Shangrila will always have a special place in my stomach.

This is where I learned to love Chinese food.

The place is not exactly extraordinary. But at the very least, its Chinese food cooked and presented properly. The place is huge. We celebrated a couple of birthdays at the second floor function rooms. Good price as well. Its at the reasonable but huge servings side.

A cool trivia about this restaurant is that Pope John Paul II ate here when he visited the Philippines in 1996. They served him Italian food because him and his entourage don't eat Italian. So the owner of this restaurant had to teach his chefs and himself on how to cook and prepare Italian food from scratch. He even had to buy brand new plates and silver utensils for the Pope's arrival. If you go visit the place, they have on display the actual plates and utensils used by the soon-to-be saint Pope John Paul II.

This is one of my Mom's favorite restaurants and I must say that they indeed have authentic Chinese flavor. We ordered their small Pata Tim that can serve 4-6 people which includes the "Cua Pao" wherein you can put the Pata Tim's dressing and veggies inside to make a sandwich. It's really tasty! Even better than the ones sold at a Chinese fast food.

Their Yang Chow tastes good as well including their big buchi which is worth the price.

Their price range may be a bit expensive but I guess it's alright considering their big servings.
