Don't you find it odd that i had to travel x number of kilometers to try Shawarma Bros.  Believe me,  it is peculiar  as there is branch in BGC and this is relatively near Makati.

Anyway,  i found myself loitering around UPTC one humid Saturday afternoon.  I was on the hunt for some affordable grub and I wasn't in mingle with people.  I spotted Shawarma Bros,  empty chairs and tables and one customer.  Perfect!

I was greeted by Third Eye Blind singing about Losing a Whole Year upon entry.  This made me smile,  good music.  I checked the menu and feigned indecisiveness.  Why?  If i hear Scott Stapp,  that's my cue to leave.  Good thing,  there's no trace of Creed in their playlist.  I ordered the following.   And oh,  food is for two as i was waiting for CMA.

|  Chicken Shawarma.  Generous servings of chicken with some Turmeric infused rice.  I wasn't expecting that much in the taste department but man,  the chicken is the shiz!  The meat is tender and seasoned well.  This is best served with some white sauce.

|  Beef Shawarma.  CMA said that this was good too but he quickly changed his mind after trying a spoonful of the chicken.  He said mine was better.

Customers get to pick two types of sauces,  i settled on the garlic yogurt and tomato chili thingy.  The white sauce is mediocre,  Halal Guys still has the best white sauce,  in my humble opinion.  The red one is tagged as spicy but there is no trace if chili.  My tastebuds don't lie.

Overall,  we enjoyed our meal at Shawarma Bros.  Good food, affordable price and awesome music.

Shawarma Bros has finally opened a branch up north! I have been enjoying Shawarma Bros for years already and I'm glad to see how they've come a long way from a food truck, to coming up with a flagship branch (in BGC), and expanding to places.

I was recently invited to visit their new branch in UP Town Center and try out their new dishes. Introducing the new bro dishes of Shawarma Bros:
-Keema Nachos. Regular nachos, but instead of being topped with salsa, it's topped with keema. Works well with beer. (You can avail 4 bottles of San Mig Light for 50 Php per bottle for every order of keema nachos).
-Pita Tostadas and Garlic Hummus. It's my first time to try deep fried pita bread. It was enjoyable and I liked it, though it can get really greasy. The garlic hummus was good as well. It doesn't taste like the authentic hummus from Mediterranean restaurants but they have tailored it for the Filipino palate.
-Crazy Hot Sauce. Aside from their usual garlic yoghurt, cheese sauce, and chili tomato, those who want a stronger, crazier sauce can request for the crazy hot sauce at the counter. Dare to try a spoonful?

And then my all-time favorites:
-Shawarma Bros Iced Tea. It's not a secret that they use Allmytea for their iced tea, one of my favorites.
-Rice Meals. Available in beef, chicken, lamb, and keema. Served with mango salsa and Biryani rice. My favorites are the lamb and beef rice meals.
-Keema. Can be ordered with rice meals, wraps, or a la carte. I love this as a side dish for lamb or beef rice meal.

Hello Brothers!

Went to UP Towncenter last night to have my son eyeglasses fix and before going home I promise to myself that I must try already the Shwarma Bros.

Craving for nachos so I tried their Keema Nachos! Experience a different side of the Shawarma Bros Keema as it is poured steaming over crunchy nacho corn chips, accompanied by grated cheese, diced tomatoes and onions and drizzled with your choice of two sauces. The nachos are crispy and just like the other nachos we usually have nowadays it is topped with a handful of that sinfully-greasy-yet-oh-so-good keema.

A choice of two dip from their Bro sauce selection, had cheese and garlic yogurt dip, perfect dip! It only cost me around 160 pesos .

Looking forward to try their beef shawarma next time mga bros...
