Shin Lin is a Taiwanese restaurant that offers dumplings, buns and handmade noodles fresh everyday.

Hubby treat us for dinner here at Shin Lin at Eaatwood Citywalk last December 29 in the evening. We ordered two sets of their pork Xiao Lang Bao. The tasted was good but for me nothing can beat the Din Tai Fung. We had spicy pork spareribs and shrimp dumpling. I liked other dishes too. We're supposed to order the dessert buns but there's no space for our stomach so maybe next time .

Overall it was a nice fine dining experience on our first visit here. They have branch also at the Podium. Price is fair enough. Location is not good as it was located at the city walk in Eastwood and nearby with bars so maybe it should be placed along the other fine dining restaurants to make it more appropriate .

Yay for 50% dimsum and noodles!

W had a few things on their menu today. The hakaw was the best for me-shirmp was fresh and the skin was very thin. Xiao long bao was okay. Great flavour but i dont like the grainy texture of the pork inside. The spicy shrimp and pork wantons were not spicy and seemed watered down, but the wanton itself was well made. I liked the beef broth the best. The beef was really tender and the broth tasted great! The shrimp and pork siomai was the one i wish i didnt order. The skin got hard and became chewey 5 minutes after being served.

Shi lin is one place you can get good xiao long bao in the area. These soup-filled pork dumplings (dipped in a soy-vinegar sauce) are light yet packed with flavour. A basket of 10 costs about 260++ and is good for sharing.

Another favourite i have are the fried shrimp and pork wantons with sweet and sour dipping sauce. These are great for a snack even on a hot summer day.

The spicy shrimp wantons and pork-filled buns are so-so. The shrimp wantons are a little but soggy, and the pork-filled buns are bland. Prolly wont order these again.

Craving for xia long bao (not sure for the spelling) shi lin is the place that hot dimsum is perfect for cold night and to share with friends is more fun. The beef noodles is ok what i like is the garlic spinach great to those on a diet. I will surely return here for my favorite dimsum.
