If you're looking for a budget but filling meal in Binondo, try this place out. They're still at the same street but they're not beside wai ying anymore. They transferred a few blocks down but they do have 2 parking slots now so not bad.

We got the following to share:
✔️ beef maki (we got 1 small bowl each)
- texture and soup consistency is similar to that of a Pares but not as salty. This would've been killer with rice but wag na Lang. #control
✔️ radish cake
- not bad for p45 and it was actually good
✔️ giant siomai
- p50 for 2 huge pieces. It's really filling but a little dry. It's good with the beef maki though
➖ chicken feet
- surprisingly good but that of causeway is the bomb. Nothing compares to that
✔️ buchi
- one if the best I've tasted in Binondo. And super cheap at p45 for 3 pieces

A cheap find. P400 for everything and we ordered too much. Super stuffed and we had some for take out 128061128055

Disclaimer: this is a late post, I didn't eat at wai ying and maki place at the same time. Haha #buhaybaboy

Again, another gem in Benavidez st. If your looking for soupy dishes, try out this place.

It's right beside wai ying but it's not as jam packed. It's more spacious too.

Try out their fish maki. It'll warm up your yummy real good. Their chami is savory and cooked just right.

They have giant siomai like that of Charlie's wanton (but I prefer that of Charlie's). If I remember correctly it's p20 a piece but it's as big as a small siopai. No kidding 128514

Try it out if you're in the area 128077

I don't really put 5 stars on the restaurants I've rated but this place is just special! It reminds me of the Makimi place (Little Kitchenette, its like a small canteen -- I might make a review for it) across Chiang Kai Shek College, my HS alma mater, just that its made even better!

The price of Maki Place's MakiMi is reasonable coz of the big serving they offer. The "ma" or the meat in their specialty MakiMi are big yet tender and delicious. The Maki is not too thick and not too watery as well, making it the perfect Maki for my tastebuds.

The place itself is small and cozy, and the staff is warm and accommodating. Delivery is free but you have to check if they can reach your area.
