Super impromptu dinner here because we were supposed to dine at a nearby place but it's closed. Anyway, I didn't know what to expect when we came in. It's a bit confusing and disorganized because you'll be given a menu but if you ordered those meals with side dishes, you have to go to the counter to check which of the sides are available. Why don't just place it on the menu and tell the customers which ones are available or not?

Since I didn't want the meals with sides, I went with the dumpling noodle soup. For a price of 170, the serving is quite generous. The menu (yes, the menu; not the server) also encourages you to sip the soup slowly and get a noodle refill for just 25 pesos. The noodles were thick and hard while the soup was a bit bland. The dumplings were okay. It reminded me of how gyoza tastes, it's just that it's steamed. Aside from dumplings, it also had egg and something like squidballs. The egg was probably my favorite part of the meal. For the other one, not sure what it is but it had "meat" in the middle, similar to how siopaos look like.

Affordable Taiwanese Cuisine, very much like home cooked meals, the menu is quite simple, a few rice toppings, soup, noodles and drinks...the place is small, service was fast and there's free WIFI 128522

This huge Pork chop with rice 128070🏼 @130 was super sulit! We also had their bola bola soup @90 (can be shared by 2) and Taiwan style Minced Pork dried noodle @120 (this dish was bland though 128533)

Your 150 can take you as far as this. Really filling! And taste really great (for me at least)

Also, try their gyoza and porkchop. 9786128076

While the food can definitely be categorized as Taiwanese Comfort Food, this place offers value for money. Pork Chop dish with side dishes for only Php 150.

I really enjoyed the Pork Chop rice meal. It tastes like the Pork version of the Serenitea or Chatime Chicken Chops, served with 2 side dishes. I am sure my siblings will enjoy this.

I would definitely come back to this place for a late dinner, in fact I am now dragging my siblings there because I am craving for more Pork Chop Rice. Just saying. 128517

Nothing special here, really. Their Smoked Chicken is acceptable, but it isn't something I'd come back for. Food was served cold, the servers were on barefoot (i don't know if this was intentional, but most of them were) and the food was blah. The only upside is that for only P150 you get generous servings of rice and meat (chicken, duck (for p190), pork, your choice), plus two side dishes (tofu, adobo egg, veggies etc), which is good enough to be shared by two persons.

I always order their Taiwan-style fried pork chop plus rice together with 2 side dishes whenever i'm looking for a budget meal. The size of their pork chop is huge and is good for 2 persons. Their smoked chicken is very good too.

What to love about this Taiwanese resto? Their WINTERMELON TEA. They gave free refills when they first opened! Try their roast duck to top the feast. They have tasty food too! Though the dining area is small and limited parking space too.

First to time to order take-out from this taiwanese resto. I got the pork chop and roast duck. They were good at very reasonable prices. When you order a set, you get to choose 2 from their selection of side dishes. No wonder a lot of people go here to eat lunch/dinnner. I usually pass by it and i see many people dining in especially during daytime.

You get this plus a cup of rice for only a 130 bucks! Ate about half of it and I'm already stuffed!

Their porkchop reminds me of Tasty's pork chi except that this has thicker breading and it has a little more pepper on it. But really, for 130 bucks! I'd really take that detour before going home. 128522

I'd probably try their duck next time or their smoked chicken. Looks awesome too 128522

Shuin is considered new in the area. We love noodles and chinese turo-turo food, so we were so happy when we discovered Shuin. Even though they sell the usual noodles that come in a HUGE bowl, their specialty is their smoked chicken and pork chop.

An order of smoked chicken or pork chop comes with rice and side dishes. You can choose from side dishes available for the day and you can even add more for a small fee. You can also order 1 whole smoked chicken, eat half and take home the other half.

Their pork chop is flavored in the simplest way possible with sesame oil, salt and pepper. But it tastes great! 128516128077

Pork chops is a favorite among Taiwanese where it originated. Basically, it is a flattened, fried to perfection and smothered with flavorings! Who would resist for such an awesome treat? Luckily for us Filipinos, we can now enjoy this tasty treat!

Really yummy, tender, juicy and plump. And the sweetish sauce complements the tad salty pork chop.

Whenever you're around the area, be sure to drop by at Shuin and have a bite of this tasty treat for you and your family! 128536

Great gyoza! Their wintermelon w/ lemon is also delicious. Simple & inexpensive. Oh, the pig's ears & pork tongue are also good for those who enjoy innards & offals like i do :)

Talk about value for money, this is the place to be!
On a random evening, Oliver and I were looking for a place to eat. Trying something new was in mind so we landed on Shuin.
At first glance on their menu, we were already excited to test their food since the price was very affordable.
We ordered their best-sellers, roasted chicken set meal, which includes 2 side dishes. Also, we got steamed dumplings and beef noodles.
The order was served fast. First, we tried their chicken meal. It was undeniably appetizing! The rice was a bit sticky and watery, type of rice Oliver prefers. I like the way they cooked the chicken, fused with flavors. The side dishes we chose, tofu with egg and Chinese sausage were generally good selections too. For only php130, it fed 2 of us.
Steamed dumplings only costs php85! For 8pcs, that's value for our money. It was the dumplings we expected, nothing fancy.
Lastly, beef noodles was remarkable to our dinner as well. Love how the beef was marinated, which added more taste to the light beef soup. It's a big plate that's not costly.
For your everyday meal, Shuin is one restaurant that will not waste your money. Better than eating in fast-food restaurants.

The Food Scout approves of Shuin. :)

Pray, Eat and Love.

Cheers,
The Food Scout

The smoked chicken was tender and tasted good. Very interesting. No need for the sauce actually. An order costs P130 with 2 free side dishes. I like the sauteed beans and taiwanese sausage that I got.

If you like noodles, then you should try their beef and dumpling noodle soup. The veggie dumplings are sooooo good and the noodles are firm, thick and delicious. If you ran out of noodles and got a lot more soup left, you can order for a noodle refill for just P20. Cool.

And they've got a special discount offer: whole smoked chicken for only P200 when you buy after 8pm. We'll definitely be back and I'll try the smoked duck next time.
