I had an impromptu lunch date with the wife before doing our regular grocery chores. Since it was past 12nn we decided to eat at this place.

We had tom yum soup which was piping hot. It had a perfect mix of spice plus tangy taste of ginger and tanglad. We also ordered catfish salad. The shredded hito was crispy despite being mixed with the sour dressing. The chicken satay was likewise a treat. Tender to the bite with a little sweet taste that complemented the smoky grilled flavor. The crispy crablets was also ok except the garlicky flavor tends to be over satiating once you finish a couple of servings of the food.

Overall it was still a fun lunch.

Can't wait to go back here!

We were craving for Thai food and Siam Thai delivered!

▪️Pad Thai 1108811088110881108811088️ - they let us separate the shrimp so I can eat it 🤤
▪️Chicken satay 1108811088110881108811088️ - soft and meaty and yummy
▪️Pomelo salad 11088110881108811088️ - curry and pomelo combo was a pleasant surprise to my palette
▪️Bagoong rice 1108811088110881108811088️ - my sister and nephew said it was really good
▪️Mango shake and mango with sticky rice 1108811088110881108811088️ - need I say more?!
▪️Fresh vermicelli wrap 11088110881108811088️ - forgot to ask to have shrimp taken out but this was amazing!

This is a restobar and if you're not a bar person or don't like rowdy, drunk people around while eating, go there around 4 or 5pm.

Had lunch in Kapitolyo, Pasig with foodie friends at Siam Thai BBQ and Sports Bar. Tried out their lunch sets, ala carte, and Thai BBQ.

Siam Thai is a Sports Bar with an outdoor and indoor (air-conditioned) seating area. They offer a wide range of local and imported beers to offer, as well as other alcoholic beverages. We came here for lunch and tried the new lunch meals on the menu as well as some best-sellers.

Here are what we tried:

Thai Milk Tea. Made from milk, tea, and sugar. Refreshing and sweet.

Tom Yam Soup. Spicy good. The spiciness got me a runny nose but I still had more.

Pork BBQ. Pork is tender and the taste is on the teriyaki side, Good.

Chicken Pandan. Juicy and good the pandan adds to the rich flavor of the chicken.

Seafood Combo. Enjoy it with other ala carte dishes or with rice.

Chicken Satay. Tender and good.

Crispy Catfish. Really crispy and goes well with its mango bagoong side.

Pad Thai Noodles. I love their pad thai. It also had a generous serving of peanuts.

Fresh Spring Rolls in Thai Dipping Sauce.

Fresh Salmon Salad in Thai Vinaigrette Dressing. It's served like the Filipino "kinilaw" and is spicy.

Thai BBQ Set. The Thai BBQ has the grill in the middle with the soup surrounding the grill. The broth they use is an original broth with basic spices and salt and pepper. As you grill the meat, the juices flow through the lines then drip to the soup. The taste of the broth also improves once you add the mushroom and vegetables.

Mango Sticky Rice. Thai dessert

Sweet Sago with Mango Buko. Rich and creamy.

Water Chestnut. Cold and refreshingly sweet.

Complete photos on my blog.

2017 review. Take note... This is not a buffet place and they dropped Their unli shabu. Everything is ala carte. Although They have a set shabu/grill and you can add more items at a cost. If you don't keep track of what you order , everything can add up to your bill very quickly. Ka ching, ka ching

The food in Siam Thai is awesome! Since it was my first time to visit we ordered a lot.

The crispy catfish salad was good. I liked the combined sweet and sour flavor of the vinegat dressing. We also loved the pad thai noodles. Al dente and a bit spicy. The chicken satay reminded me of isaw. I went well with the vinegar and cucumber dip rather than the peanut sauce. The bagoong rice was just ok but what i loved the most was their ground pork with basil. It was deliciously hot, spicy. The meat was juicy with a nit of acidity and bitter flavor from the basil.

Overall I call it a happy lunch.
