Siamaroi is a thai resto that was suggested by Jayson J to be our food meet-up place. The place is along Jupiter Street near Bel-Air. Walking along this strip of great and expensive looking restaurant, I was imagining Siamaroi to be one of those elegant thai resto. But to my surprise the place was not that classy looking hehe. The place got a narrow entrance and the signage is not that quite visible (Look for the red ribbon store). Inside it was like a thai home turned into a resto. Not that very neat looking but not that bad.

For the food, I can say this is one of the most aithentic thai food I've tried. The Tom Yum was so good! Reminded me of the one that I've tried in bangkok to recover from a hangover. The spring roll with virmecilli noodles inside was also good or maybe I was that hungry that moment hehe. Bagoong Rice was so flavorful that we were starting to get overwhelm with all the delicious thai flavor hehehe. Pork Green Curry got just the right of spiciness. The Pad Thai was the least fave. It was underwhelming maybe due to the lack in flavor.

Overall this place is a great surprise find in Jupiter St. For thai food lover this place is a must try.

This hidden restaurant along jupiter bel air strip is an authentic Thai restaurant. My boss actually recommended this to me, in turn, i decided to bring #kaladkarin friends since Dennis O is already around the area.

I was driving then and the place is not easy to find, i did not see any 'siamaroi' signs. So just look for tipsy bean with red ribbon block and you will see elephant designed exterior--that is where siamaroi is. Although the parking lot is really for like 10 cars, it's limited because some customers use it to dine outside (as for siamaroi). The entrance to the restaurant is to your most right--a short narrow pathway that leads to the dining place.

Inside the restaurant could accommodate only about 10-12 pax. Kristin A , Marco Jose L and dennis who were already waiting for me ordered the spring rolls

128204 spring rolls
It looks familiar at first sight. I thought it was shanghai rolls, however i did not taste any meat. Stir fried glass noodles is stuffed inside the roll. The dip tasted like diluted sweet spicy sauce. Unique one.

128204128525 khao kluk kapi (bagoong rice) @270
Fried rice with shrimp paste (bagoong), fried shrimps, red onions, green and red chilis, green mango strips, scrambled eggs and lime. I think the flavors were so overwhelming. I did not really tasted the chilis which was great. The rice was a bit sticky. This is good for 2 if ordered alone.

128204128525 tom yam kung
Sour and spicy. Good for two as well, herbed with lemongrass, mushrooms, and two big prawns. Simple lovable thai soup.

128204 pad se-ew tha-lay (padthai noodles with seafood)
This is my least favorite. Tasted a little bland. I did not expect a bland thai dish. There were squids and shrimps.

128204128525 green curry
You have an option of either pork or chicken. We chose pork. It was creamy sweet at first then ends with a blast of green chili spice.

128204 fruit jelly
On the house! It was not that sweet which in a way disappointed me, it was placed in some kind of shot glass in which i noticed all four of us spilled some content.

I think thai cuisine spice levels are normally at high levels. I did appreciate the authenticity although some of us got their tongues confused. 128539

I love that everything is authentic. It is like visiting Thailand through their food. Not adapted to Pinoy taste, no twists, no fusion, simple, I love it. This is my second time and will surely comeback.

If you love thai food this is super really highly recommended...its located in jupiter..the authencity is there...the taste is very different from commercialize and famous thai restaurant..I love most the PAD PAK BUNG ( Morning Glory Fried with mince pork) . Its crispy a little bit of sweet and sour taste with herbs added to it...Location wise dont expect its a fine dine in...they also dont accept card in case you dont have cash...

Been reading about this placed for sometime. Hyped that I was going to try it. Got spicy seafood salad, pad thai, spring rolls and tom yum hot pot. All were pretty good. Serving size wasn't that big though. An order of pad thai would be good for one person. The hot pot was good for sharing. Food is pricey. Ambiance and service was ok. Definitely would try to go back.

PS. Cash only

Its a bit annoying when we eat at a Thai restaurant expecting authentic flavor only to be disappointed with the added sweetness to Filipinize the taste. Asian food is all about balancing the 4 senses of taste: sweet, salty, bitter and sour (the fifth being umami).  There seems to be a Thai mother and son team working the kitchen and dining area. The hefty son talks with a thick accent and you get the feel of the authenticity and the expectations its going to be good.  This almost ‘hole in the wall’ does not disappoint.

The Tom Yam Kung is perfectly balanced in flavor. No overpowering sourness nor too much of lemongrass. Instead the herbs and spices are just delicately there. There are hints of lemongrass, galangal, kafir lime leaf helping flavour the broth of prawns. The Thai Chicken basil (gai pad bay) was wonderfully savoury sweet and spicy, truly mouth watering. The green mango salad was perfectly balanced sour and sweet with the sweetness cutting through the sourness. I’ve had this dish too often that It was always too sour, I thought i would never like it.

Parking is a b*tch though. I had to stand up a couple of times in the middle of my meal as cars were backing up to where I was parked and there was no security guard to coordinate the parking. Just park nearby and walk or just uber it.

I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.

Serving portions are miserly but the food by and large was great , loved the massaman curry with rice , the Thai omelet was too flaky for my liking. On the whole pretty affordable at sub 500 per head !

It's fairly easy to overlook this blink and you might miss it hole in the wall. Practically hidden next to Misono and Tipsy Bean, their signage is invisible at night with zero illumination. Thankfully, Google Maps was pretty accurate in directing us to this location.

The moment you step inside feels like you're being transported back to Thailand. The smell of authentic thai food, foreign marks on the wall and authentic thai snacks covering the walls help. The servers greeted us immediately and was able to seat us quickly. For a Friday night, all the tables were surprisingly packed.

Having read up on multiple food review sites, I already had my eye on the roast pork and thai milk tea. Along with that, we also ordered their pad thai and chicken red curry rice. The meal took less than 5 minutes to arrive at our table and we jumped right in. Having a high tolerance for spicy food is highly recommended bec they don't scrimp on the chili. Each plate had a side serving of chili flakes which I greatly enjoyed mixing with my food.

I loved everything! The roast pork was juicy, flavorful and soft. The red curry rice brought me back to the night markets I visited in Bangkok. The pad thai was pretty good too. Definitely worth a second visit and the servers were extremely attentive and friendly. Oh, and there was a weird 5% discount on the bill. I didn't ask cos they might take it away. 128518

Sorry no photos of food. But the wall art I hope suffices.

Only complaint - servings are tiny. Butttttttt that means you get to try more than one dish without feeling bad because you really have to try more than one dish!

It really feels like you're in Thailand with the decor. And the food is really yummy! Just a tad overpriced. Spent PHP400 on three different dishes, but wasn't exactly full after.

Taste buds were definitely happy though. :)

'Twas the night before the long weekend. The streets of Makati laden with cars 128664 in complete standstill. But in a little corner, along Jupiter, lies a restaurant with thai goodness abound.

The restaurant's name is Siam Aroi. It's beside Tipsy Beans the coffee shop. Its a family-run restaurant, with a husband and wife tandem at the helm in the kitchen making sure that every dish comes out yummy. It's quaint interiors will transport you to Bangkok. Warm, homey, this restaurant also sells thai products, mainly snack items, for the patrons who would want to munch on thai goodness. I had the pleasure of unearthing this hole-in-the-wall gem with Chichi T. 128513

If you don't know what to eat, don't fret. The restaurant is laden with pictures of food from their menu, so you can check out what you feel like eating128513 Their menu contains the thai names of the dishes as well as a brief description of what the dish contains.

What we ordered:
Thai spring rolls - good 6-pc spring roll. The dipping sauce is reaaally good!128525
Khor moo yang - this is spot in roast pork neck with special sauce. Could.not.stop.eating.this.128525128525128525
Tom yun kung - spicy and sour soup with shrimp. They weren't kidding about the spicy part. But don't get me wrong, this is the spicy-good kind.128076🏼128074🏼
Sticky rice - good quality sticky rice. Perfect complement to the khor moo yang.128513
Thai milk tea - this tea is more on the milky, creamy, sweet side. Not the same as the stocking milk tea i've tasted when we visited Bangkok years back, but this is pretty good. This is served in a carafe so, more thai milk tea goodness for me!128513

Overall, i consider this as my top thai restaurant in terms of value for money and taste. It really is spot on and i can already see myself coming back for more thai food goodness. 128077🏼
