It's been so long since I've been in the Tomas Morato, and I wasn't that familiar with the dining scene in this area anymore. Which is why I was a bit hesitant to have dinner here at first. I was glad we agreed with my dad's suggestion though, as our buffet experience at Sitio Verde was worth it.

We arrived at the venue at 6PM, which was a good timing because there wasn't much diners yet. First impression of the place was that it was very homey--literally and figuratively. The venue was actually a spacious, cozy home, converted to a restaurant. After we parked (there is a 2-vehicle garage here), we entered a small garden area. But since there seemingly was a birthday celebration ongoing, we went inside the "house".

We were ushered to a 4-seat table, where the drinks were stationed and was quite near the buffet area. It was a bit detached from the rest of the house, was near the patio, and was a good spot if you wanted a bit of privacy.

I have to be honest though--the food wasn't amazing. The choices were what you would typically find in a birthday party or your first child's Christening. Some options were even slightly cold, but tasty enough. Drinks (assorted soda and two types of iced tea) were also included in the buffet. What won us over was the ambiance and the above average service.

For instance, love the fact that the food containers were almost never empty. The staff was very attentive and not at all irritable. This, even though after an hour, the place was already packed.

I also have to give special mention to the kuya security guard who patiently guided us in the parking, and was not the type who waited for a tip. Unlike others who would not-so-subtly wait beside the driver's side, after pretending to help the driver maneuver the vehicle.

The rate for lunch and dinner buffet was PHP268, PHP178 for breakfast. Totally worth it if it were quantity, great ambiance, and good customer service you're primarily after.

This newly opened buffet restaurant offers Filipino-Chinese cuisine at an affordable price. For only PhP268 per head (lunch) unlimited drinks included.

The service is not that good since they just opened but the ambiance is perfect. Its like Gueverra's but way cheaper. Its the old Estrel's branch and opened its home to all Filipino families.

The food variation are: Plain Rice, Yang Chow Rice, Pancit Canton (so yummy!), Buttered Chicken, Minced Pork with Eggplant, Beef with Ampalaya, Sweet & Sour Pork, Inasal Chicken (so delicious!), Fish with Tofu, Salt & Pepper Squid, Chicken Corn Soup, and Nido Soup (that's all I remembered.

As for the dessert, Create your Own - Mais Con Hielo & Halo-Halo, Sapin-Sapin, Bico and Watermelon

Drinks - House Blend Iced Tea & Four Seasons

My overall experience was quite okay but the service needs to improve because it took time in refilling the food. But the food is great!

We'll absolutely come back for more! 128077

The outside and interiors look really nice. It was promising! It looks like a house converted into a restaurant. Lots of rooms/private areas. There are times when I felt like I was actually having a dinner party at someone's house. They have a huge sign out front offering a dinner buffet for only 268 pesos and since we were really hungry, we waltzed in.

The buffet was limited. From what I remember, there was yang chow fried rice, chop suey, beef with ampalaya, lechon kawali, salt and pepper chicken, pancit canton, sweet and sour fish. They also offered Filipino desserts such as ginataang bilo-bilo, halo-halo station and various kakanin. Drinks were soft drinks, juice and ice tea, included. There was nothing that really stood out, although they were all okay for me. Sulit na din for 268 pesos only!

Lunch/Dinner buffet for PhP268. Not fancy, but not so bad. The dishes I can remember are Deep Fried Dimsum, Sweet & Sour Pork, Grilled Chicken Wings & Pork, Fried chicken, Pancit Canton, Calamares, Chopsuey, and a few desserts. Buffet includes soda and juice.
