I've tried eating here since I was in high school when we come to Baguio for vacations. Just like my title says, it is the pioneer restaurant that serves affordable steaks in perhaps the entire Northern Luzon back in the 2000s. I was able to eat here again back in 2010 at the Legarda Branch, which I think is the first one that opened. If I am not mistaken, the restaurant has three branches in Baguio. One is SM Baguio, another one down Session Road, and the Legarda Road branch. I would definitely recommend the Legarda branch out of the three. It has a good ambiance and it has the best service and food.

Unfortunately, I was wrong to recommend the SM Baguio branch to my dad. He also heard good things about them, but on the day that we ate there, he was right to be disappointed. I was not there when the orders were served. I arrived just as he was finishing up his plate of Porterhouse. He commented it was very chewy and rubbery. My dad is a food critic as well, but his comments are very serious, although the waiter laughed it off. Trust me, you don't want to piss my dad off.

My order on the other hand was pleasingly good. I was only able to eat half the rice, since I enjoyed the beef more. They serve each steak on a sizzling plate with a few vegetables (most common is the string beans and french fries) and give you a creamy cup of vegetable soup (sometimes mushroom, but I got green soup today) and a boat of gravy, which when you pour over your very hot metal, it will start to sizzle, smoke and splatter gravy everywhere. Careful, girls who are cautious of their clothes and hair. I didn't mind. All I wanted was to dig in!

To get the best out of the steak, they have condiments ready for you to make your own sauce besides the provided gravy. There's the famous Worcestershire, Knorr seasoning as some would like and you may even add chili sauce as well. as I personally like my steaks a bit spicy.

My grandmother ordered the grilled Chicken BBQ (kebabs) and she said it tasted really good as well.

In order to redeem them, I would have to do more reviews and pictures of them in the future.

Yes, nothing does. Good service and great food. Definitely delicious.

Their sizzling grilled pork chop is a must try!
