So the group decided to cap the night here at Slice for another round of desserts.

We got tea, coffee, and specialty drinks for our drinks, then we tried out their most acclaimed Choco Yema cake, and Frozen Choco cloud cake for us to share. Gotta love the Choco yema so much! Sinfully good moist chocolate cake topped with their signature yema. I admit that I got crazy at it in every bite! The Frozen Choco cloud cake was light on the palate, but it'll look like an "underdog" when you get it with the Choco yema cake.

Everyone seems to enjoy their choices of drink and cakes. Café closes at 12 midnight, and their last call for food and drinks was around 23:30.

At the height of the Pokemon Go craze, the dinner group from Cuomo decided to catch a few
monsters at BHS Central, so we decided to hang out at Slice. Besides sharing a couple of cakes, even though we already had dessert, we each had our own drink. I had a Viennese, because caffeine never kicks in for me whenever I needed it to. I just love how their coffee comes with some grand and seeds instead of a sweet or cookie.

Slice closed at 12, and even if we lingered a few minutes past (though last order was 1130) the staff did not even try to kick us out. Not that they didn't start shifting tables and chairs around us though 128517

We ordered their Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Brownie Sundae.

The sandwich wasn't impressive to look at and was quite small. But it tasted good. Then they forgot to give our Brownie Sundae order so we waited almost and hour for it not knowing they weren't preparing it.

Overall their service is not that bad but it is disappointing.

So we ended up here again for a last resto call just before we say goodnight. At least this time we did not end up at single origin sabi nga rin nila.

128204128525 frozen choco cloud
Has thick whipcream and chocolate mousse that really fluffs in your mouth like a cloud. The taste isn't too sweet. The chocolate cake is the base layer of this slice. It's moist and ordinary. I like the cake naman overall.

128204128525 mango yoghurt protein shake
You've read that right. WHEY protein (was it 5gr) is incorporated inside this mango yoghurt combination.

Yes. Pokestops as well. Lire party on.

Here's a drink that you should try if you want something for muscle building...

128204128525 power me banana
It's a choco-banana peanut butter with 5 grams WHEY protein smoothie. This is PhP180

Sad that there's no BOGO cakes today. They mentioned there's no promo on Sundays except the sales is low. BOGO cakes on weekdays still continues though. Yeah, there are 2 pokestops in here.

We had to wait for an hour longer before the |ooloo meet up so the bf and I decided to share my favorite Yema Cupcake from Slice. 128568 I missed this sweet treat so much! Always a favorite, that yema topping is just amazing, not too sweet and best paired with their super moist chocolate chiffon! Yum! 128571

Tip: Best to just do take-out cause the place is dated already and not the best place to chill. 128569

Me and my hubby was just looking for a place to have a light dinner and not too crowded. We ended up eating at Slice. We both ordered their Panini Combo meals. I had Roast Beef Panini and Crab Chowder Soup. My Husband ordered their Tuna Melt Panini with side salad. We both loved their panini, serving size was fair. The Crab Chowder was just ok. Its was a bit grainy was expecting a more smooth crab chowder. Hubby was satisfied with the side salad,it was just fine.

TRES LECHES > Double choco yema 128155

Went here two Sundays ago with family for desserts while we waited for Papa's meeting to be done. I went here with mom and my siblings.

I opted to go for choco yema cake but I already had the same flavor of cupcake in Luna. I ordered their Pinoy ChocNut instead. Pinoy ChocNut is a mixture of coffee, chocolate and peanut butter. Everything that I like was in that drink but I didn't like it. 128557 It tasted more like peanut butter (unsalted), with a hint of bitterness because of coffee. I wasn't pleased with the taste.

My siblings ordered the other drinks but I can't remember what they have ordered. Double choco yema cake was fine. But... TRES LECHES IS THE BOMB!!! 128525100841285251285251008410084128525 It was my mom who tried it first and I heard her say, "wow, ang rich!" To be honest, I didn't like to try it at first because it looked so plain to me. Lol. Sometimes I judge the food by how it looks. Lol 128540 After that, I tried the Tres Leches finally and I liked it so so so so so much!!!! Very moist cake soaked in 3 kinds of milk and it is topped with whip cream. 1008410084100841008410084100841008410084100841008410084100841008410084️ Too much gave me an umay factor but I don't care, I still like it. 128514128525

Hope they would improve their drinks tho.

My Kuya saw a picture of Choco Yema cake while browsing the internet last time. Being a fan of something sweet, he immediately showed me the picture as if telling me to buy one.

So the next day I went to Slice to get ourselves a Junior Choco Yema cake. Super delicious!!! I didn't hesitate to buy one for Cindy S also. 128525

P.S. Okay, I actually bought additional 3 cupcakes. 1 for my Tita, 1 for my boss, and last for my preggy colleague. BYE DIET! 128517 I'm actually not a fan of cake, chiffon to be exact. That's why I always stick to cheesecakes and ice cream cakes. But this one is an exception - super moist! Now off to the gym to burn the calories! 128514

I was assigned to volunteer for one of my former company’s events. Yes, assigned and volunteer are contradicting but that’s how we do things there. And it was fun as there were some yummy treats as well. But by yummy treats, I meant leftover food by guests. It is not as disgusting as it sounds. The spread prepared was from Florabel’s and the roast beef was scrumptious. But as corporate slaves, we had to wait for all the guests to finish eating and leave before we could attack the buffet table.

And of course, gluttons cannot wait for hours before having a meal. This is why I took advantage of our 30 minute break for a fast dash towards Slice.

I got a Cheesy Chicken Pesto Panini (PHP180) and my favorite Moringa (PHP100).

I gobbled up my panini in a few minutes but had a bit of time to savor its flavor.

I liked the subtle pesto flavor and the slightly gooey cheese. It wasn’t the stretchy and messy type though which I love. It was perfect though as I was standing while eating it. The chicken breast though was a bit too dry. I guess it would have been better if there was more pesto or gooier cheese.

My Moringa drink was love as always. It was refreshing and perfect to quench my thirst.

Overall, it was a filling meal. The panini wasn’t bad at all. I’d love to try the other flavors. 128523

Back when we were still celebrating monthsaries, I prepared a semi special dinner for R. I went to High Street as soon as the clock hit 6 p.m. and got some cooked dishes (including rice) from Rustan's Marketplace and a cake from Slice. For this entry, let's focus on the cake. 128513

I got a junior Choco Yema Cake (PHP299) thinking R would like it as he has a serious affair with sweets.

After a successful candlelit dinner with flowers as centerpiece, I surprised R, yet again, with the junior cake.

After blowing our cake, we each had a slice and... R loved it!

He liked that the cake was very rich and he enjoyed the yema topping. I was glad that the cake I got seemed freshly baked as it was moist and soft. It was the perfect dessert to cap our meal.

It then became a staple in my fridge for a couple of months. That's how much R loved the dessert. Till we discovered Slice's Tres Leches. But that's in another entry.

(Please do not judge me for not cooking as R was supposed to be at my place around 7 p.m. making it impossible for me to cook a nice meal and bake dessert.128560)

I have always liked Slice. I think they serve amazing food and great coffee.

I feel like the place needs to be cleaned and fixed up already, though. During our last visit over the weekend, the place looked dark, dull and old. I miss how bright, clean and comfortable Slice used to look.

As for the food - My son and husband ordered the garlic and spicy tapa, respectively. It's hard to go wrong with this order, and it was good as expected.

I ordered the cranberry apple chicken salad, and it was a little sad. Greens were crunchy but there were some brownish parts. The dressing was thick and unappealing. The whole presentation was dull and dreary, actually, much like the restaurant looked to me that night.

Still, I know I'll be coming back to Slice eventually for a cup of coffee and a slice of choco yema. Not writing this place off just yet. 127860

If you wanted to eat healthy but not sacrificing the taste, I recommend that you go to this place. It's a bit pricey but, it's worth it. I think it's the 3rd or 4th time that we ate here.

Their menu has a wide range of organic food. The servings are good for two persons so if you think a meal is too big for you, then it's good to just share.

Mostly, people come here to have a healthy meal, for their pastries & desserts. And they're well known for their Double Choco Yema Cake and cupcakes which is really divine. Well, this time, we tried a slice of Love Affair. It's a combination of their famous Double Choco Yema slice and chiffon cake with a marshmallow filling in between. So yummy, that's what I can say. A definitely must try especially for those who have a sweet tooth like me. I'd recommend this to anyone.

I absolutely love Slice. Aside from its delicious and moist cakes and cupcakes such as Choco Yema and Tres Leches, one of my ultimate favorites there is the refreshing Moringa Miracle (PHP100) drink.

I still remember the first time I encountered the delightful citrus malunggay drink. I was at Eton Centris then, sweating like I jogged for miles but in reality, I was just sweating because I’ve been pigging out a lot and that my fats were keeping me too warm.

I was instantly attracted to the bright green colour of the citrus malunggay placed in a plastic container. The owner saw me mesmerized by the drink and he uttered, “Okay yan ma’am na pampagatas.”

I was slightly horrified by his statement. It made me look at my outfit and myself. Have I let myself go? Do I look like a breastfeeding mom? Or do I look pregnant??? I know I look sweaty but I didn’t know that I look pregnant or just gave birth. Anyway, I still bought a glass of the healthy drink and fell in love with it. It was indeed citrusy with its calamansi extract and a bit herby from malunggay or moringa. 128523

And so when I saw Slice offering the same drink, I just have to order it. Though it costs 5 times more expensive than the one from Eton Centris, I just gave credit to the cooler and nicer ambiance of the store. 128516

It was just as refreshing. I always ask for less ice so that I get more juice! (<--Pro tip.) Even my malunggay-hater sister loved it!
