It has been four years since I hit the gym (was a member of FF) and I got a looot bigger since then. So now, with the promo of Slimmer's World, I was encouraged to try it and trim down again.

Sales pitches are very quick and sometimes confusing for newbies so it is best to ask necessary questions and set expectations early on. I do commend their sales representatives (who are also trainers) since they have been approachable even after I gave them my money.

The gym tends to be crowded from 4PM onwards. There are times when I had to say "makikiraan po" whenever I go from one area to another.

Gym equipment is not at par with FF's, they are quite minimal, some are either torn or out-of-service, but they will still do. I initially raised an eyebrow when they said that I needed a schedule stub for the treadmill and steppers but I guess this is necessary to properly regulate their usage.

The locker rooms are quite small. As opposed to FF, SW requires members to bring their own padlocks and bath stuff. The shower area is also demure. In FF, naked women were walking freely in the locker room. I'm not saying that one is better than the other. Culture shock lang talaga.

Their trainers are approachable and keen with their craft but, since there's only a few of them, they attend to many people simultaneously. Our PT gave us instructions then left us so she could assist other members. Because of it, I was left idle for a few minutes after completing my tasks.

Aerobics is fun and the instructor was very lively. Although, I won't recommend this to beginners since this is an endurance test. It can go on non-stop for 45 minutes. It was only my second day yesterday and I barely got out alive! LoL!
