Finally got to try this place after several attempts of reserving a table. We booked 3 weeks early for Father's Day and the wait was worth it. Truth is, this place is not spectacular but it serves good food. Let me list down what I like and did not like.

Like - All-you-can eat samgyeupsal for less than 500 per person. There's a lot of other food choices which we also enjoyed.

Dislike - the place is crowded and there's not much exhaust that my eyes hurt from too much smoke. Meet slices are super thin but it's not exactly a big issue given that you can ask for more. Parking space is a problem. Side dish selections are very limited.

Korean buffet FTW.🇰🇷12852510084

Everything was good. 128077🏻128523 The service of their staff were fascinating. Whenever you finish the meat served, they will automatically serve you more. So if you're already full, you gotta tell them so they'd know when to stop. HAHA. 128514128514128514

I'm not sure if they are accomodating walk ins because we weren't accomodated the first time we went there. They said that they were already fully booked. Their price is so affordable that's why they are always fully booked. So I suggest you to book as early as possible if you're planning to dine there.128522

Since I joined the looloo community, Josh kept on reminsing me to write about Sodam, as we had a bad experience there. 128557 So here it is!

Around a year ago, we planned to eat here. I have been raving about Makchang Korean Restaurant (my fave), and Josh suggested this place since it's near the church we go to. Since it's quite cheap and we're going on a Sunday, we opted to make a reservation. I texted the number and placed an order, and I got a reply.

When we got there, we were told that our reservation has not been made, when in fact, I had a back and forth conversation with their staff on their cellphone number. I even showed her the text I got from their staff, just to prove that I really made a reservation. The staff also possessed an arrogant attitude, and said, "Ay, di na-confirm."

The staff did not even offer any service recovery, and told us that we have to queue and that we have to wait for 6 more groups to be seated before our turn. I am very disappointed with their service. 128557 Never again will I return to this restaurant.

Been awhile since I last dined here. They were still at their old location along P.Guevarra.

My buddy Olena D wanted to try it out again and I too as well so why not.

We came in very early 11 am to be exact. Parking was still empty and I was the first car there. ( btw parking can fit 4 cars max) so come early if you will bring your own car.

We were surprised to find out that 11 am and still this place is closed. Most buffet placed we've been open as early as 11 am. So we waited at the al fresco area. Waited til about 1120 am outside before a staff approached us.

We had no reservations so immediately we were told we had to eat upstairs. Yikes wasn't happy about that. Hassle to go up and down when the buffet is only at the first floor. Oh well since we were starving ( we didn't have breakfast haha) we agreed.

1130 am and still the set up of the buffet isn't quite done maybe they were at 80 percent. But we were already seated upstairs and again still waiting....

Finally we were given the go signal. 128076🏻
I immediately noticed more food choices this time and I was happy about that. They have bonchon style chicken now, beansprouts, two soup choices etc. But the hotpot was gone? They used to have that.

Anyways we also had grilled beef and pork. These were thinly sliced and not marinated. You needed sauce to flavor it up which they provide.

My fave dishes were: sauteed kangkong, marbled potatoes, beansprouts, beef slices

I had about three rounds before I was filled up. Food here is a hit and miss some I don't like and some I really like.

Was it worth the wait?
I'd say .... YES. cause after all that's 320 pesos for a buffet lunch. Such a steal and value for your money.
I didn't eat dinner anymore cause I was sooooo full haha! 128541

I have been dedicated for this month to have a Korean dish on my table, and never did i think of having buffet, Korean inspired. The best way perhaps to go there first is to make a reservation and that one thing will definitely make you an edge to those who will personally try to have there meal in Sodam. With all the emerging food restaurants in Little Baguio, this one's unique as we were startled of the crowd struggling to have their tables inside the korean buffet resto. Sodam offers somehow authentic Korean dishes which i am very much familiar with being one of those Filipinos envied of how rich traditions were practiced in the Land of the Morning Calm. From Chapchae, Bulgogi, Kimchi, Tteokboki etc. Name it, you'll surely have it on your first plate. Good thing servers continuously refill what feels to be crowd's favorites. On its table, you will be provided with grilling apparatus as normal setup for any Korean restos. Once the server sees your layers of thin sliced pork were done, you will then surprised that they will also be the one to provide another layers of it until such time you'll end up so much full. That's how unlimited offers should be used on top of everything. I never thought of its price being so damn affordable and i won't regret paying a lot for the effort, quality of the food they serve. This one's a great recommendation once you drop by at Little Baguio, San Juan.

Sometimes I debate with myself whether I'm Chinese, Korean or Japanese. Besides from the fact that I can look like any of the three, it's hard to distinguish which of the three (food) I like the most. But why choose when I can have all?

Today's stop: SODAM 🇰🇷

When Unisse C mentioned that there was a Korean restaurant that offers unlimited beef and pork plus side dishes for only P329, I almost did not believe her. I mean, where in the metro can you find a buffet with a price like that in this day and age? To prove her right, we went there to confirm it ourselves.

Before we even got to the restaurant itself, we had to struggle first.
Bad news: Parking space is limited. If I remember correctly, they only have a 4-6 car capacity.
Good news: Rustan's supermarket (along P. Guevarra) has a parking area near Sodam. If I remember correctly, it's only a block away.

Now on to the restaurant itself -->

PLACE
Interiors looked great! I loved the wooden homey feel it gave. It's like dining at your own rest house in Baguio 128149

FOOD
Unlimited orders of thinly sliced beef and pork plus unlimited side dishes for only P329? I can't really complain about the food. Of course it's not top quality but it's quite good for the price. All I can say is it's super sulit! Even if you can't eat too much, there's no need to worry about wasting money because it is so cheap!

Do note that the orders of meat comes in a set of 2 plates of beef and 2 plates of pork. You can't have it customized to 3 plates of pork and a plate of beef or whichever you prefer though. Also, their grilling plates are strictly for the meat only. Lastly, like any other Korean Buffets, drinks and ice cream come with extra charges.

PAYMENT
No, they don't accept credit cards so do withdraw beforehand. But I think it's okay since it's only P329 each.

Great first visit! What I liked most was that the staff are the ones who keep on refilling meat. We even had to ask them to stop providing 128514

My sister recommended this place for an affordable korean buffet. Wasn't impressed with their food, the meat are bland. No sauce where tou can dip, unlike in kpub. I only liked their cooked fish fillet. 128530 One plate... that's all I had..

Holidays mean pig out sessions! 128514128055128584 This *might* be my last pig out session... Because I'm supposed to go on a diet, but that is rarely followed. 128532128549

ANYWAY! I've mentioned before we're huge fans of Korean BBQ (and buffets). 128514 Since my sisters haven't tried Sodam yet, I thought it would be a nice sister bonding dinner to let them eat here. It was either Sodam or ShabuYaki in Remedios Circle. But since we needed to be in San Juan, Sodam won. 128513

PARKING IS A CHALLENGE! 128663
Sodam is found in J. Abad Santos in Little Baguio, San Juan. The place is pretty small but compared to their old location, the space is now bigger. However, parking can still be a problem! I think their space can only park 4-6 cars, double parked! So it's a bit of a hassle if you're the one double parked. They'll be calling out your plate number while you're in the middle of eating! 128547

So my suggestion is park at the Rustans Supermarket along P. Guevarra. That's what we did. They have side parking and also a basement parking. It's a short walk to Sodam from there.

THE FOOD! 128055
The buffet is Php 329 per person on weekends and holidays (lunch and dinner)! REAL CHEAP RIGHT? 127881 You get unlimited orders of thinly sliced beef and pork plus some Korean side dishes, soup, and a bibimbap station! Eat all you can and you'll surely be stuffed!!

The meat slices come in a set, 2 plates of beef and 2 plates of pork. Sadly you can't break that up and ask for just beef. Of just pork. 128532 They also advised against putting anything other than the meat on the griller. 128533 I got a little bit disappointed by this because I like grilling the kimchi too. But I guess that's their way of ensuring the lifespan of their grills. Hahaha!

The bibimbap station has very straightforward instructions for newbies to Korean food which is a good thing. 128077🏼 They also have my favorite kimchi jjigae (stew) though it's more soup like rather than stew like. And the meat they used is quite fatty. I still loved it nonetheless.

ADD ONS ➕
As most Korean buffets, the drinks and ice cream come with extra charge but they give you unlimited water which is good enough to keep you going.

PAYMENT 128176
CASH ONLY.

So they used to be located along P. Guevarra but I'm not sure when they moved to J. Abad Santos. At their old location, they accepted credit cards because their rates used to be a bit higher. But after moving and lowering their rates, they now only accept cash as a mode of payment. So keep that in mind when dining here.

We left with full and happy tummies!! If only San Juan wasn't so far from home, I'd be here a lot. 128514128055

Better than the previous location.

So far one of the best korean buffet.

What i like here is a better selection of korean dish. Minsan pag nag palit sila may bago na naman ma dish.

Better service na din sila. Very attentive waiters. Ikaw susuko sa grilled meat nila na they would serve you.

I love meat! So when my friend Vanna J brought us here for good cheap unlimited Korean beef and pork bbq, I was soooo excited! For Php 329 per person this is not bad at all! For other Korean restos this price only comes with pork meat! However, in Sodam this price includes both unlimited pork and beef! Not only that, it comes with cooked dishes too and their cooked food is equally as good!

The food is amazing, the service is ok but the place needs improvement.. it's so hot inside! I kept sweating so it was a bit more difficult for me to enjoy the food 128517

All in all, the price is very reasonable for the food quality! Will definitely go back to this place!

By the way, make sure to have reservations! This place gets packed quick!

It was my sister's advance birthday lunch treat and we're really craving for yakiniku. After mass last Sunday, we went to Sodam. We used waze going there (from UST church), and we were directed to Sodam's old location. I just added this detail. So wazers, be mindful of the street when choosing Sodam on waze. 128522

P329 per pax during weekend lunch. And it's freaking worth it, I must say! There are just limited number of choices but almost all are korean dishes. Their meats are tasty and staffs are attentive.

By the way, drinks and cold products (korean popsicles etc.) are not included on the price.

Enjoy!

A cheap Korean Eat all you can in Greenhills? Wow. Unusually cheap for the area. Sodam's price is already competitive in the likes of Quezon City (think Kalayaan Ave. which is one of my regular areas before when I lived in QC) or other places where, shall we say, the economy is more suited to a broader base. For lunch at P329 on weekends and Monday to Sunday dinners, and P299 on weekday lunches, the price is pretty good (these prices are ALL IN)! Tried it earlier today. They give you wooden trays of beef and pork in thin strips ready to cook. Plus they have decent choices of cooked meals and even make your own bibimbap.

Included in their already voted meals are Korean pancakes, chap Chae, fried rice, squid rings, fish fillet in light sauce, seafood in sweet chili sauce, Korean beef strips, pork in sweet Savory sauce, lettuce and the fillings that come with it, veggies and more. All decent. Pick your preference. The cooked meals are a solid 3.5/5 Shout outs are deserved for their chap chae, Korean beef, and fish fillet breaded with mayonnaise dishes. If you're avoiding carbs (and do avoid their fried rice due to its blandness), use their lettuce to fill in the proteins and veggies and dip in the sesame oil and salt sauce. Awesome without the guilt. 128522

Beef and pork strips. Very thinly sliced. You cook it yourself, optional to make the pork stay longer to make it bacon-like.128523 They just place and place on your table. Decent, quite soft, but not that flavorful. 3.5/5

Service is fast. They replace the raw meat quickly and are helpful. 4.5/5 The owners seem hands on and are present it seems. Which is cool.

They're moving by May to about a block behind their present location on P. Guevarra, across Piandre, which is the former Eataly resto. A bigger space than this place, I've read, plus better parking. Overall, I'd give it a solid 3.5 rounded up to 4.

Burp. 128549 dang, I ate too much.

This time around the place was not as full as the last time.

We were shown our table and started getting food without delay. 128515 as we sat meat started coming...almost non-stop!

I enjoyed this visit.

This place is actually one of the best & very affordble eat-all-you-can in the Metro.. And what's another thing about the food they served are actually not the usual or regualar korean food they would serve.. They would really change their menu so that you would come back and you'll say "this wasn't served before" and yet its really good food with good price...

Since i love korean buffets so much, aside from kpub this is my to-go place. Cheap but superb. Their servers are very attentive in replenishing the buffet table and we never ran out of meat. Unlike other buffet you have limited food choices but for 299 ill definitely go back.

Looking for an affordable Korean buffet? SODAM is the place to be! For a lunch rate of P299, and dinner P399, you get to enjoy unlimited beef, Korean dishes and shabu-shabu to your heart's content.

When we went there, the resto was full so we waited for a while for an available table. But definitely worth the wait! 128525

They only have korean ice creams for dessert. Of course, Melona is my fave!

One of my fondest Korean food experience was here at Sodam. I am not familiar with the names of most dishes but they were all good. The Pork strips were heavenly. Ugh! I was too satisfied especially with all the fresh veggies. I swear to come back.

It's a nice experience! Not really familiar with Korean food so I can't say kung masarap ba or hindi. But judging from the taste, its quite well naman. Sayang nga lang at wala ng refill ng siomai. Haha.
