Fried rice with seafood is good but their pad thai is bland. Add the long waiting time and absentee waiters, I would give this resto a thumbs down.

SOI is a casual full-service restaurant with over 70 varieties of authentic Thai cuisine.Ingredients of their dishes and Chef came all the way from Thailand to ensure that they provide Filipinos the real aroma, texture, and flavor of Thai dishes. "The aromatic essence. The exotic flavors and spices. The abundant texture," that is what SOI want each of their guest to smell, taste and feel whenever they dine in their restaurant. To date, SOI has six branches.

The first thing that we notice when we entered SOI is the ambiance of the restaurant. The Thai chandeliers, Machuca tiles, wenge-finish furniture and wooden fan made us feel that we are dining in an elegant restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand.

We started our Thai banquet with their Fresh Spring Roll.

What we love about SOI's Fresh Spring Roll are the al dente rice glass noodles crunchy and fresh carrots, cabbage, cilantro and bean sprout that perfectly blends with the peanut and hoisin sauce.

We were also able to drink one of the best Thai Ice Tea in Manila- SOI Thai Ice Tea. This Ice Tea is always on our list whenever we go to SOI.

Another favorite of ours in SOI is their Crispy Catfish with Mango Salad. Crispy Catfish with Mango Salad has crispy catfish crumbs, shredded green mango and served with a sweet and sour sauce.

For the rice dishes, we kick off with Bagoong Rice. Bagoong rice has sliced cucumbers, salted egg, shrimp paste, pork, string beans, dried shrimp, shredded green mango, chopped chili, fried rice and topped with a scrambled egg. We mixed everything together and got a perfect harmony of sweet, spicy and a bit salty dish.

After enjoying the delectable dishes of SOI comes the desserts. We tried Thai's version of a halo-halo.

Unlike the halo-halo that we grow up with, Thai's halo- halo version is DIY or do it yourself. It is served with its four major ingredients and shaved ice. The taste of your halo-halo will depend on the ingredients that you put. Ours is not that sweet, creamy and full of texture.

SOI gave us a total Thai experience. Their ambiance made us feel and imagine that we are dining in a cozy and elegant restaurant in Bangkok. Their dishes, on the other hand, has a distinct and right blend of flavors.

I 128156 Thai food and this experience was a total let down for me. 128542

As, I was dinning alone, I had more time observing and taking down 128221 as to how will I write my review. I got the

127860 Fried Spring Roll - 127775 presentation wise it was nice. However, taste was meh. Actually, too salty! And the dipping sauce (which I presume is plum sauce) is too thin and kinda bland.

127860 Tofu Pad Thai - 127775 So, my concept of Pad Thai (which I really 128525) was greatly damaged when I tasted this dish, too bad presentation was nice. I'm not so sure if my taste buds was distorted by the saltiness of the spring roll or this dish lacks in the flavor and taste department. To the point that I was on the verge of asking for an extra slice of lime and tamarind sauce just to create flavor in the dish. Not to mention the noodles looks so sad because it was too soggy, in short, it was super dooper overcooked!

Service was kinda off too. When the spring rolls arrived, just because I am alone they didn't even bother giving me a plate, and I still have to ask for one and a serving spoon for the Pad Thai. 128529128529128529 Even for water refill, as I noticed for the customer to get a water refill you need to call their attention.

Overall experience for this is just a 127775. The food was a disappointment and the service was 128078🏻. It's sad coz they have a nice marketing slogan "Eat Thai, Love Thai." however the service and the food does not embody this statement at all.

Taste

Sweet and sour fish - was just ok

Squid with Salted Egg - i think ot would've been more apt to call it onions with a hint of squid. You could barely feel the squid.

Bagoong Rice - Could not taste the bagoong at all. Felt like colored plain rice.

Crispy Catfish Sald - this was excellent. Could've been served on a wider dish though as it maid it difficult to really mix the sauce in

Thai Iced Tea was also good but the lemon grass was average. I think it got watered down because of the ice.

Value for money

Too expensive for the amount and taste of food in my opinion.

Service

Was above average as they kept my lemon grass flowing when I asked and the bill came out quickly too.

Probably will not go back unless I was craving for Thai and there were no other choices.

I'm on tight budget but I still want to have gooooood food! 9786

Not a fan of spicy foods as well but knowing Thai food as spicy, still gave it a try. And they say "Not all Thai foods are spicy." 128513

I'm alone and single 128557 #hugot .. so I have to look for god for single person meal and the crew suggested their Fish Fillet in Black Pepper Sauce with free Pandan Iced Tea..

I liked it! 128516
Just don't want to give further details on taste but it was good.

It only cost Php 165 including the SC.

Might return and try other Thai foods. 128522

I love Thai food very much. I always make sure that I eat a Thai dish at least once in a couple of months and I have been to Thailand like 5 times. The point is, that makes my taste somehow picky when it comes to where I am eating a Thai food. I have been to Soi like 4 times and I must say that it's one of the legitimate places here in Manila to get a taste of Thailand. I specifically love their Chicken Pandan and the Papaya Salad which are the few of the things I miss when I am here in Manila. Their Tom Yum and Pad Thai are OK as well. However, i think that this particular store in Glorietta is not of the best ones they have. They should improve the taste of what they cook here. Three stars for this specific store.

Love the pad thai and milk tea here. Not quite as flavorful as the authentic version I've tasted (and got addicted to) in Bangkok, but appetizing nevertheless.

It was unfortunate though that the place was packed when my friend and I had lunch here. Our table was cramped between two others, and we, the family on our left and couple on our right, might as well be seated in one long table. Service was also slow; although our orders were served before the need to follow-up, we had to ask for glasses of water and eventually, a refill of my friend's Pandan juice, at least thrice.

The fried spring roll was also very oily. Will then order the fresh spring roll next time.

Total bill was quite cheap and my friend and I were full and satisfied after eating. Will still be back, but hoping for faster service next time 128077🏼

This beef rice meal costs P195 with Thai iced tea. Only gave 3 stars because we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our rice meals. Food is delicious too though it was way too spicy for me. If only it was less spicy. Huhuhu. It was so spicy that I wasn't able to finish my food. Sayang kasi ang sarap pa naman ng beef. 128532

Been here before and altho I love Thai food and this place has good ambiance and cute interiors, the service is deteriorating. Sad!

Took some time before the wait staff attended to us. Noticed the same thing with the other diners.

Also noticed that I inadvertently dropped my tissue and none of the staff picked it up. It wasn't deliberate on my part but I also waited to see if they were paying attention. Not!

Ordered the Grilled Pork with Fish Paste. Food was okay. They did serve free spicy nuts at the start but took some time before they served water.

I was actually looking forward for a Thai Food and I got a bit disappointed.

A bit expensive for the taste and serving.

Not too spicy for a Thai Food and their rice and grilled squid are a bit too dry.

Their curry was good though, you can taste mixtures of herbs and it smelled so good too 128522

Soko Thai Soup -- adding this to my list of Thai favorites! A light semi-spicy clear soup with all kinds of wonderful ingredients from shrimp to fish balls and noodles to chilis. This is a meal by itself but is still best paired with Chicken Satay. The heat can be controlled by asking the waiter to separate the chilis before serving. I chose to dial up the spice slowly with every other spoonful. This strategy served me well and gave my mouth the chance to get used to the heat. Loved this experience! 128523128523128523
