I love Thai food because of its colorful and flavorful dishes. Beside the fact that it’s usually affordable, its taste always win my heart and taste buds. Most of their dishes are light and easy to be digested haha.

Fried Tofu in Tamarind Sauce (P128), the tofu is fried perfectly then added with tamarind sauce. The sweet, sour and little salty sauce balances everything. It’s delightful and fun to eat. An impeccable way to start your eating spree in Soi.

Chicken Lemongrass (P248), fried chicken with fried lemongrass. The chicken were seasoned well and they make sure that the chicken is crunchy. My only comment were with the fried lemongrass, I am not sure if they put it there for plating or we can eat it with the chicken, well I tried to eat it and end up choking myself hahaha.

Pandan Juice (P80 bottomless), I never thought of having a pandan as juice, I just know that it was used to add fragrance on rice. First sip was memorable, it has a distinct taste and very refreshing. I loved this juice, goes well with my thai food.

I had a great experience with Soi, I will be back and will try their Tom Yam and Pad Thai soon!

Never really liked Tom Yum since I was a kid. I keep tasting something weird in it. But we were at Soi and I don't have any idea what to order. I was thinking maybe now that I have more mature taste buds I might be able to appreciate Tom Yum.

Turns out it was not that bad. I can now cope with the sourness of the lime in the soup. I still can't tell what it is that I keep tasting from the complexities of the ingredients used and I can tell there's a lot. Either way it kinda grew on me after a few slurps of the soup. Spiciness is very tolerable but they can tweak it to your liking. I had mine mild.

Medyo bitin lang the noodles and seafood. Nalunod sila sa soup as in. 128514

My friend and I ordered chicken pad thai, mango salad, fish fillet with rice and thai tea for 765 pesos. Their servings are good enough for two.

The pad thai was good; it was not too salty nor bland. The fish fillet was well okay. The thai iced tea somehow reminded me of taho. And finally, our favorite among our order was the mango salad. It was spicy, had nuts and onions. The dressing was maybe lime or calamansi with a little bit of sugar I guess. I don't have a photo since we devoured it the minute they served it to us. Haha.

If I will rate our orders from okay to very good it would be: fish fillet with rice, thai iced tea, chicken pad thai and mango salad. 128523

For 765 pesos, I think it was worth it and I would definitely come back for that mango salad and their other dishes!

I'm baaaaaaaaack after a dreadful wards duty in Internal Medicine! Bah! On our 40th love month, we decided to have something thai and since we haven't tried this, we went in.

• FOOD - I super love their shrimp yellow curry! The level of spiciness was just enough and the herbs that came with it complemented the curry. However, I am not that impressed with the eggplant with tofu.

• PLACE - Ambiance was inviting with good lighting, and architecture. I especially like the purple velvet walling.

• SERVICE - I gave this 5 stars for the superb manager who took care of us from the moment we were choosing our food up to the moment we walked out their resto. I noticed that she was eating on the outside table when we started looking through their menu from the window. She immediately stopped eating and went to us to assist us. Then she lead us to our table, gave us nuts and chips while waiting and made sure our food was taken care of before she returned to her food outside. I mean come on, how many times will you encounter a server like that? If all managers, waiters and barista are that dedicated, every customer will come out of their resto happy!

Overall we were very satisfied today! 128570128568128571128573128572

Was at MOA with Willy A yesterday and the cold rainy weather made me want to have some hot Tom Yam soup. So we had lunch at Soi.

The place had a weird smell. I'm sure it wasn't because of the food or spice or anything. It just smelled weird. The place was also starting to show it's age. Faded walls, cloudy glass on tables, etc. The plates, ugh some of them had chipped rims.

We were seated and given a plate of peanuts and chips. We ordered Tom Yam Gung, Fish Fillet Red Curry and 2 Garlic Rice.

The Tom Yam Gung was alright. Not the best but they were generous with the prawns.

Fish Fillet in Red Curry was just alright too. I think the sauce was too runny and the flavor was pretty weak.

It was actually a bit disappointing. I'm a big fan of Thai Food. But pwede na for a quick Tom Yam fix.

It's hard and disappointing when your expectations are not met :(

It's as if we haven't entered a Thai restaurant. The food has nothing special in it kahit konting spice man lang because that's what they're known for.

Ordinary. What made up for Soi was their fancy interior and very attentive manager (staff excluded). Enough said.

It's been awhile since the last time hubby and I had a food trip at SM Mall of Asia because its so far from our place but because of the Witness History event just last Tuesday hubby and I decided to have our lunch there because we still have an hour to eat before the opening of gates at the SM Arena.

While looking for a place to eat hubby and I saw SOI Thai Restaurant.I first saw this resto in Greenhills because we usually hangout there and we never got the chance to eat there. So we both decided that it was a perfect place for lunch.

It's been last November since we ate Thai foods and it was during our 5days stay in Bangkok Thailand.I am really fascinated about this country and I enjoyed the foods there too especially the pad thai. The best pad Thai that I ever tasted was on our hotel in Centara Grand. Its one of the 5 stars hotel at the center of Bangkok.128591.The pad Thai really taste good.Although I tried the pad thai at benjarong at Dusit Thani for me nothing beats the authentic thai cuisine. The combination of the spicy and sweet makes that pad thai perfect128077

The ambiance of Soi was really nice.I love it's purple color.I love purple. The resto is not that big but its neat and classy.

We ordered the bagoong rice which is my ultimate favorite thai dish.It cost 198pesos.It has dried mangoes in the side, salted eggs, pork etc.It has a generous servings.I really like their bagoong rice.Namiss ko talaga to.Then we had chicken pandan (6pcs) for only 248pesos and hubby ordered an extra rice and our meal would not be complete without ordering a pad thai.

Hubby was still on a diet so the waiter recommend the vegetarian pad thai.It cosy only 198pesos and good for sharing. It taste good but I cannot say that it meets my standard on a pad thai.I still can't find a thai resto here that has the similar taste of the pad thai that I ate in Centara Grand.

The service was good too and the price was very affordable. So if you are looking for a decent thai resto and affordable price I really recommend this one.

So happy to wear my looloo shirt here at Soi128591

okay, it's lunch time and we still haven't decided where to eat, though there's so many resto's in MOA, then i told my dad, why don't we try something new, a 'thai cuisine'. 127886

my dad ordered their Fried Spring Rolls (i thought it's like the usual taste of a lumpiang shanghai but they really gave it a different twist)

Grilled Squid (nothing special but i enjoyed it's 'sawsawan'..)

Tom Yam Talei (it's a spicy seafood thai soup with lemongrass and lime juice served with steamed squid & shrimp, it's good but it didn't really suits my taste buds while my mom & dad loves it, toinks!)128567

Thai Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet (it's good!)

and lastly, a glass of green mango juice to removed the 'umay' factor. 127864

the place: so cozy! and they really made it as if you're dining in bangkok!

SOI Eat Thai Loves Thai

SOI offers thai cuisine at its affordable price. Ate, the waitress, told us that one of their best seller was the Pad Thai Noodles but we failed to try it because we want to eat lot of rice and get full. So, we decided to order Fish Fillet in Black Pepper Sauce and that grilled pork (sorry! I forgot how they call it) since this dishes were in Thai rice all you can promo. The taste were good! Specially the fish fillet in black pepper sauce. Yumyum:))

So, if you're craving for thai foods, visit and try and have one in SOI! :>

xoxo,
Reina
