The Solace Burger was really good. It has a mix of bacon, crispy onion rings and a juicy grilled half-pound patty. They have generous serving sizes for the price too.

Solace restaurant is a good place for a quiet dinner.

We ordered a set meal which lets us choose from appetizers to salads to soups to two entrees and a dessert. It was a new dining destination back then, I read some reviews before we dug in and they said food was good. I thought it was just fine. Average for hotel food. Food served cold already. I don't know if they let it sat on the kitchen before serving it. (Coz I like my food served hot). They serve mainly Filipino food--that type that tastes like a home or food court dish. I will give a plus on the greenish ambience though. The place looked relaxing on light green and off-white. But relatively small for a hotel restau. It would measure just about 3x a public toilet. (Pardon the jargon) :) The dessert, bibingka souffle, which most people recommended, tasted average as well.

The first thing that would strike you as you enter the restaurant is its soft, warm and relaxing lighting, and the country home style decor.

The meal started out well enough. We got their chicken fingers which was drizzled with pesto sauce. It was quite good.

Next was the squash soup. Consistency-wise, it was perfect. Thick. But there was waaaaaayyyy too much pepper! The pepper overpowered the squash.

Then came the salad. I chose their Asian salad. It was ok. The honey mustard dressing was nice. I loved the bacon bits (seriously, I think lots of things are better with bacon)

For the entrée, I had the beef salpicao and the roasted chicken. I wasn't too happy with it. The beef was bland and the chicken was flavored like pork asado. I thought it was so-so.

Lastly, dessert. Bibingka soufflé. It was sooo tiny. But I actually thought it was good. Puffed up quite nicely.

Over-all, it was an ok meal. Nothing to jump up and down about. Some parts of the meal were spot on, others missed their mark. The decor and ambience was nice, kaya 3 stars.

Great ambiance very cozy and excellent service but food was not delish. I had beef salpicao and fish. One of the hardest beef i've ever eaten. Can't really chew the beef super fail.
