After a relaxing Thai massage, we then decided to try Thai food to officially call that night, Thai night. Songkran is the best bet for this since we were already inside BF Homes. When we arrived it had just opened (they open at 6pm for dinner time).

We ordered the following Thai Dishes

1.) Pad Thai
Pad Thai is a noodle dish composed of flat noodles, tofu, peanuts and bean sprouts. They have 3 variations (Chicken, Shrimp and Mixed). I really liked the Pad Thai here, nothing fancy and just like the one that I have tasted before at Chatuchak market.

2.) See Klong Moo Daeng
These are Thai Spareribs. They were thin but are really tasty. Nothing special really.

3.) Pla Nam Makham
It is a cream dory fish fillet with Tamarind Sauce. We had the sauce and the fish separated. The sauce was a bit spicy but tolerable.

For the meat and seafood dishes, rice is ordered separately. The rice were served in a small and cute aluminum pot. However they also serve Rice Toppings meals which is a combi of some of their chicken and pork dishes on top of a bowl of rice

The menu was difficult to read since the names of the food are all Thai names however they have descriptions at the botoom which can help you decide. Aside from Thai Dishes they also serve rice topping meals for those who are not too privy with Thai Food.

They also have 1 small freezer filled with Carmen's Best Ice Cream. It is a bit pricey for Php 130 per small cup but then again its Carmen's Best :)

T’was our date night and since we are a busy couple we took advantage of the free time we have and headed to BF homes Parañaque. I was supposed to surprise him by bringing him to Sensei Sushi bar but since he’s the one driving I had to tell him where to go but as we arrive, we were both surprised seeing a small place jam-packed with people, but since we are in the mood for jap food I still tried to ask if there’s still space for two but even the bar is full, and sadly they don’t have waiting list as they prefer to serve who enters first, and so we just left and tried to find another place to fill our hungry stomachs.

We found songkran, I’ve read some reviews about this place, they serve thai cuisine and since thai is also one of our favorite comfort foods we decided to eat here instead. We tried other thai dishes other than what we’re used to, we ordered pad see iew which is a stir fried noodles with egg, peanuts and chicken, poh pia sod which is a fresh spring roll, and keang pla which is a yellow curry fish. The pad see iew was delicious, taste was umami and noodles are cooked right, the keang pla was very creamy and it had a distinct flavor to it that we couldn’t seem to decipher what made it taste unique, maybe it has a banana heart along the veggies or is it a special spice, bottom line it was delicious and very creamy, the poh pia was the icebreaker, after devouring on our savory and creamy dishes, it broke the strong flavors and had a subtle light sourness to it that balanced taste.

Overall the experience was great; our night was saved from being ruined.

After a Bangkok trip, and still cant get enough of Pad Thai, you cant help but search for a nearby resto that serves authentic Thai food. Luckily, Songkran was just a few kilometers away from our place. That Sunday craving was satisfied with great tasting orders of Pad Thai, Bagoong Rice and Crab Omelette.

Had a late dinner with wifey. We were suppose to have ramen in bf but they were closed already.
For some weird reason we both decided to try songkran.
We had fresh spring rolls, fish curry, morning glory, and cat fish salad.
Must say the food is fresh and very good. We'll be back!

Loved the Fresh Spring Rolls and Mint & Lemongrass Tea. Didn't like the Pad Thai and Satay that much. They are a bit pricey for their taste.

Songkran has always been known for serving great Thai food back when it was still only in Makati. I sure am glad they have a branch in the south to add more color to an already culinarily vibrant Aguirre Ave!

Staples such as green curry, Thai fish cakes, bagoong fried rice, satay, pad thai, green mango salad, pandan fried chicken, and sticky rice with mango are what they continue to do best. Best to come in a big group, order lots, and share so that everyone gets to try a bit of everything.

There aren't that many Thai options in BF homes but I'm glad Songkran's one of them 128516

We ordered the Tom yum goon, red beef curry and the catfish salad. The Tom yum is just ok and lacked the spice I was looking for. Though the size of the prawns is quite big. The red beef curry lacked in bite, considering it should have been the most spicy, having the 3 chili rating on the menu. The catfish salad is good.

Hm, had the catfish salad and a few other small dishes. I found everything to be a little skimpy in size and flavor, and at the end of the meal we all agreed that it wasn't quite worth the money and that we could have gotten better value elsewhere.

I'm really not a fan of thai food but this one was manageable. I guess it didn't make me change my mind about thai food. It was just alright. What I liked though is their speedy service and Thai Iced Tea! Oh and chicken pandan.

Food is ok except for the crab omelette which is too salty. Don't expect lots of crab meat inside, as what you will see are huge slices of tomatoes. They should change the name of this dish from "crab omelette" to "tomato omelette".

Fresh Spring Roll is a staple when dining in a Thai resto. Wish it had shrimps though. Also got beef red curry rice. Beef was tender. Curry had a nice kick. Thai iced tea to wash down the heat.

It's clean, they have at-par versions of their thai dishes, about 6 Parking spaces, nice crew and laid-back. Thai music and some more thai herbs on display, I would frequent this more in BF. Pad Thai is my favorite and the mint-lemongrass tea in hot or cold. Pick one favorite

Songkran offers budget-friendly thai food! It's along aguirre ave just beside Imbiss. 128077 Anthony haven't tried thai food yet so I dragged him here right after Puzzles! 128521 For our first dinner, we ordered their fried spring rolls and pad see. I originally wanted to order pad thai but for a change, we had their pad see (stir fried noodles with beef). The spring rolls were okay. It's good but not memorable. 128529 The noodles were good, though!!! I think, I like it better than pad thai!!?? 128513128586128076

Service was excellent! The servers were very nice and friendly! 128077
