What a discovery it was to set foot at Pioneer Market. It’s a food hub under a comfortable air conditioned area at the back of HMR. Approximately 15 food establishments welcomes you and me.

Going around I met the bubbly owner. Soul Potato offers comfort food- fried and sweetened stuff made uniquely better. When we arrived most of their items are sold out, thus the inverted menu photos.

Crispy Chicken Melt was amazing. It wasn’t crispy but it had a nice array of flavors on your bites. It had melted cheese which just added more interest to this dish. Must have.

When others have Instagram worthy milk shakes, they do soda based floats with a wow factor. What made it even better was the rich yet light cream.

I have to go back and try others! 🙂

I ordered the Crispy Chicken Cheese Melt during my visit here. When I ordered the staff asked me if I would like it with rice or mashed potato. I chose mashed potato, because hello, potato is in their resto's name. But as I waited for my food, I realized that I was so hungry and would want some rice, I thought of asking the staff to change my order to rice. I'm glad that I did not change my order, because the mashed potato is yummy. I also love their Crispy Chicken Cheese Melt because being the cheese lover that I am, I sure enjoy anything smothered with cheese and they are also true to their word that the chicken is crispy. I can also say that they are generous with their serving. Over-all the 170 pesos that I spent for the meal is all worth it.

This is their country fried pork steak, ordered to-go. It was ok even if we ate it 2 hours later. Gravy was tasty. Meat was just the right size for the price. Only 160 pesos so I can't complain much. Liked the mashed potato.

This one had the longest line in the building. I talked to the owner he said he hopes its not because they're just new. They've been open for 3 months pa Lang.
