It was MatcharapPH who first told me (on IG) that Soya Bar also has a green tea soy mousse cheese drink. No way. I've been to Soya Bar a few times already yet I failed to browse their menu thoroughly. (Or I just always order the chilled taho that I never bother to look at the menu).

But anyway, here it is, the soy mousse cheese drink (green tea flavor)! It costs ₱99. It has the usual instant green tea-level flavor, plus there's some richness of cream cheese, but there is also the strong, vegetal hints from the soy milk which give this drink a different spin. This is good! (If you're a vegan, this isn't the drink for you though. Pwede pa para sa mga lacto-vegetarian)

And of course, I won't leave Soya Bar without ordering my first favorite, the chilled taho. 128522

After a heavy dinner at Tokyo Tokyo (which I reviewed earlier), my sister and I were looking for a nice warm cup of coffee. But as I caught sight of the Soya Bar stall as we went up the second floor of SM City Taytay, I suddenly thought of their silky-sweet delicious chilled taho (₱35 each) and I told her "masarap yan!" and convinced her to try it.

At first, she was incredulous just thinking of a cold version of our much-loved street fare, which is usually served hot. I couldn't blame her because I myself was a bit skeptic too when I got to have my first Soya Bar experience at Greenfield.

But just like me then, she became an instant convert too! She was kinda amazed to discover that taho can be also delicious even if it's chilled. Sorry no picture of the chilled taho as they were served to us. Instead, I just pictured the almost empty plastic cup. Hehehe.

We didn't have to go to a coffee shop or submit ourselves to expensive Starbucks stuff as we also found hot coffee at Soya Bar. That is, hot coffee with a twist: their line of Espressoy drinks also had taho in them. Taho and coffee? Why not?

We ordered the Taho Latte and the Taho Mocha (₱74 each). This was, I thought, the only coffee that we could actually eat! We were provided with a plastic spoon to better distribute the ingredients and scoop out the silken tofu, as the tofu itself could be a bit bitter. It was delicious -- and I thought it was a genius coffee concoction LOLs.

Since it is just a stall, I thought that this branch only offers chilled taho and drinks. But to my surprise (and a bit of dismay), it also offers a full menu -- just like the ones in Greenfield branch! How come I didn't know about this earlier? Soya Bar actually is one of the oldest existing stalls ever since SM City Taytay opened, methinks. Pero hindi ko to pinansin dati at ngayon lang talaga ako kumain dito hahahaha. Next time I will order my favorite Chicken Alfredo pasta. Yummy, healthy and cheap fare. Buti na lang me Soya Bar na malapit sa amin lols. :)

Here's the story: Mom and I were walking towards the escalator when I spotted a kid eating quesadilla! I swear to God it was quesadillas that's why I hurriedly asked my mom to dine here with me! 128513128077128077128077

Ordered for a cheese quesadillas and malunggay pesto! My two fave thing on planet Earth! 128525

It was however misinterpreted by the kid, his mom approached us after they were done eating that his boy was joyously telling him that I was staring at him and winking at him! 1285149786️ "grabe bata palang yun ha!" After we were done talking to them, I was like, "ma banlag ba ako?" 128514

But let's go back to the quesadilla, my mom loved it although to me it was just okay. I told my mom to try cheese quesadilla at Army Navy or in any mexican food store she pass by. 128513

Totally happy with what we had yesterday. 128526

One more thing, I totally forgot to take a photo of our food!!! 128514 So I took a photo of the store!

We just went there this afternoon. My friend & I wanted to try something new so we did. Unfortunately, we've picked the wrong one.

We chose to order Soya Milk Tea in almond flavor. It tastes like "taho" that lacks good taste & did not satisfy our "new something craving". So, here's the summary of my review:

Affordable and delicious. I don't really visit this mall often though and I don't know if there are other branches.

I was craving for pesto so bad that I don't have any choice to try in SM Taytay. Imagine, Even Pizza Hut? It's not available. 128557

So i tried Soya Bar's Pesto. It was okay. It's not the instant pesto mix (thank goodness!) but it's on a thin border line. 128541 I need to season it with salt and pepper so bad. But it's okay, atleast, I'm not "that" craving for pesto. 128547

Still looking forward for their quesadillas. Which I remember, who do you think serve the best tasting pesto in the metro? Spiral's Pesto is on top of my list. It's extremely wonderful! 128525 Any suggestions? 9786
