One of the places that I've never really seen lined up for in the area, but I decided to try them out anyway since I wanted paella haha.

They offer a whole bunch of paella choices including ones with steak, seafood, chicken BBQ and even sisig! The price depends on what you'd want in your paella but most are in the P200+ range.

We got the sisig and beef salpicao (supposedly their best seller) marinara paella variants. Each order is served in a sizzling plate and comes with a slice of egg and a piece of lemon haha. Both orders were just okay for me, although there is a significant amount (of rice) per dish and you will definitely be full if you finish it all.

Flavors didn't work well for my taste but they were definitely filling!

I love it! I've been a fan of Paella, and they gave justice to Jambalaya! I love the Buttered Shrimp over Jambalaya with Garlic Aioli. The price is worth for their serving that can fill your hungry tummy.

My mom always order here when we eat at mega food hall. Of course, I on the other hand had to taste this cause I haven't tried it yet. 128540 I didn't knew that it would be this good cause they don't hold lines. Maybe some people just don't like paella. Hehe but it's good tho! U better go try this when u visit megamall! 128522

MEGAPPETITE!
The Mega Food Hall Special

*Disclaimer: The series of reviews will only discuss a certain menu ordered in certain restaurants during one of my visits in the Mega Food Hall along SM Megamall's Mega Fashion Hall on a typical lunch out with my family. Thus, the ratings will pertain to that certain order only. (Lol)

SxP or Steaks and Paella's Sobre Cargada was our main dish for that night. Their paella comes in a plate good for 2 persons only. They offer different paellas with your choice of toppings from full set of seafood or meat, or combinations.

Mama ordered their Sobre Cargada which includes calamari, shrimps, fish fillet, and tiny slabs of pork and beef. The paella was flavorful for me. The burst of flavors brought by the meat and seafoods will remind you of the classic but all-time favorite paella that we usually crave for. Will order here again soon.

I've been craving to eat Paella Negra today so we went to Megamall to try SP STEAK AND PAELLA. Well, I liked that the service was fast. 128077 I also liked that it was on a hot plate. The food serving is enough for one-two persons. The price, I think depends on what topping you will choose. (I hope they should indicate the price on the menu above the stall). The taste was okay. I hope that they will add more flavor to the Paella Rice and the beef will be more tender. For me, the Roasted Bell Pepper sauce perfectly matched the Beef Salpicao. Generally, it was okay and I can say that I enjoyed it. I hope they can really level up the flavor that it has and it will be all good. 128522128077

i ordered a beef salpicao w jambalaya. it didnt really made me satisfied. its just a plate loaded with rice w few strips of beef on it. taste was so and so. There is not a wow factor in it though. i cannot feel to taste the harmony of the beef with the rice. The quality of the rice is good but there is just not enough toppings in it. In short its just a place of colored rice full of calories with some beef strips. i even tried to eat it slowly to try to appreciate the recipe but i didnt. id rather have my typical adobo with rice at the carinderia at a fifth of a cost. nope nope nope not recommending it in anyway. Kindly improve on your menu...

Still on sm mega food hall, curiousity made me order on this stall. The paella plates were appetizing and I needed a rice load. So I ordered paella sobrecargada topped with squid, pork, veggies, etc. with marinara rice. Lo and behold, tasteless. 128532 I wished it tasted as good as it looked.

When I saw SP's Black Ink Paella, it reminded me pf Rambla's delicious version. I wanted to try SP's own because it looked really appetizing in the menu..

Well, it's not as good as Rambla's and not even close. It was bland and thr shrimps on top were not fresh and very chewy.. I only ate half of it and decided to get something from Chubby's. Looks can be deceiving..

I tried their mixed meat in paella negra for 215php. The paella was a bit bland and the meat (chicken, liempo, and pork meatballs) were small.

It's Toycon weekend and this gave me the chance to try out foods in Mega Food Hall (I tried Tex-Mex before but I wasn't able to do a review of it). So now, I tried S&P which stands for Steaks and Paella, a premium concept made by the usual food court stall Sizzlin' Plate.

S&P has variety of steaks or viand to choose from and as well as the type of Paella you want your steak be partnered with. You can choose from Marinara which is the typical red sauce, Negra which is the squid ink and Jambalaya which is the spicy red variant. You could also choose which sauce can come with your meal. The only sauce I recalled was the Spinach Pesto which I picked for my meal.

I ordered the Tuna Steak since I've been craving for something seafood having Marinara as its partner paella. The serving is okay; The paella serving is more than enough for one person. The Tuna Steak's serving is good enough. The food is actually good but tastes better with the sauce I had chosen. I liked the Tuna and the Paella. Good combination.

S&P is quite affordable if you're craving for some paella. I got mine for PHP200 but serving looks like a PHP300+ meal. There are also cheaper option than what I got. If you're around Megamall, you should try this one. (Actually, what got me into ordering from this stall is there were lot of people ordering from here so i guess it is a must try!)

Probably, I was really starving that day that I wanted to eat any food in front of me 128523

Anyway, my kids requested to eat at mega food hall. So since they have ordered their food here, might as well try it out too. They ordered pork belly in jambalaya sauce while mine was tuna in marinara sauce. My kids liked it and asked us to come back to try the paella next time.

I liked how the rice mixed well. Maybe I was really drooling that made me finished it haha...

Anyway, not bad for my taste. Will be back to try the black rice with paella. 128522

Service is good. Our orders only took like 10mins.
The price is fine. You get what you pay for.
Serving size is good for only 1 person.
Taste, I don't know but it tasted bland to me so only 3/5.

But I want to go back to try the other paellas. 128522

What I like about this place is that you can mix and match your paella and your meat (even the flavor)! I guess next time I should try paella negra, but will definitely stick to grilled pork or chicken. The fried seafood or squid was just ok.

S&P Steak and Paella's Paella Negra with Tuna Steak was simply a skillet of sizzling fried rice lightly flavored/colored with squid ink topped with a few pieces of Tuna Steak. It goes without saying, I didn't like it.

One of the newer eateries that opened at the Mega Fashion Food Hall, the backdrop of the place was nicely rustic with its red brick facade and seemingly interesting concept of food offering.

I generally enjoy good black Paella and therefore decided to try their take. They recommended that I added a seafood protein to top my Black Paella thus, opted to get the Tuna Steak.

The dish looked "bitin". Black rice sizzling on a skillet, a few pieces of green peas, a slice of egg, and lemon. Flavor wise, the rice tasted like fried rice mixed with a bit of squid ink. The tuna steak was dry (a bit tough to the chew). The Garlic Aioli sauce tasted too sweet (I was expecting a garlicky-tangy flavor) which seemingly didn't blend with the paella dish.

While the dish was filling, IMO, it failed to deliver the seafood flavor that I was expecting from a good seafood paella dish.
