College girlfriends set a celebratory dinner for our dear Mariel because she got promoted and our canadian girl is in Manila again weee! Calls for a celebration talaga. 9786127881

I was a bit hesitant with the food because im not a thai food fan. 128517 pero masarap in all fairness. Food overload that night and the service was great. Spice's head chef even went to our table to say hi and check our food, he even gave us complimentary desserts and food!128540

I'll try to remember what we ordered that night because i'm late and they already ordered without me 128553

Phad thai- HAHA mariel's fave and and she's been raving about this food upon ordering 128514 it was okay i'm not a fan or noodles 128517

Chicken sate- very tender and flavorful!9786127842 best sate i've tasted so far, di siya dry!

Tom nuong- baked tiger prawns with garlic hollandaise on top 128525

Thit bo nuong- im not sure with the name of this dish, it's beef curry-ish? With sweet and spicy sauce. It's the black one at the end of the table. This one is goood like osso buco but thai version i guess?128514

there's a deep fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce that they ordered i really don't know what it's called but it's good128525

Their complimentary dessert is like a mini halo halo 128514 samosa i think? I really dont know sorry!128532 Our table was so crowded with food and im too busy eating and chatting 128514

Extra special saturdate last night. My first at Spices in Manila Peninsula. Its a fine dining, a fusion restaurant specializes in the best of Asian cuisine of six countries - Indian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai and Filipino.. So you get the picture now? Tasty, spicy, and colorful dishes.

For appetizer, we had Roti Canai (shallow flat bread served with chicken curry sauce). Enjoyed this one as the sauce complimented the bread plus generous sauce was served.

For the main course we had Gaeng Phet Phedyang (traditional red curry with roasted duck, lychees and coconut milk), -good one, its flavorful, and i usually have roasted duck alone..must try!

Gaeng Kiew Wan Goong (Green curry in coconut milk with eggplant and basil with prawns)- warning, its spicy.. The way how i want it spicy kind of way.

Pla Neung Manao (Steamed maramundi with lemongrass , chili , fish sauce & lime juice)- malaysian dish highly recommended by my date, actually love how the steamed maramundi matched with citrus sauce. 128077🏻

Attentive waiters, nice ambiance (or in our term "ambulance), and good food makes its highly recommended. Plus 10 pogi points to my date. 9786

Had team dinner here and I enjoyed the Indian curry and roti 9786️ it was very pricey though! 128563
I plan to go back and try the Prawn green curry, Rochelle C said it was yummy; however I did not get to try it 128532 and yeah, I love curries very much! And roti, naan, flat breads like pita and so on....128523

Service was good but the servings were small. The Tandoori was dry but nan and roti was good. It would have been very expensive if not for our Penn card. Overall it was just OK

If you like to experience Asian cuisine in one sitting, Spices Restaurant in Peninsula Manila is a place to be at. An array of rich flavors will entice one's palate with this resto's menu.

This review is long overdue, haha! Seeing the photos of our orders here made me review this hidden gem. 128563

My friends and I ordered dishes that our waiter said are popular among diners: fresh spring rolls, sate, pad thai, hydrabadi biryani and tom yum. Their tom yum, by far, for me is the nearest to the real stuff - a must-try! 9786

Not the best service - had to ask the waiters twice before they gave us anything. Food was okay. Nothing notable.
