Staycations are best when you just wanna chill and literally do nothing. I've been dying to get some pampering-sesh and R&R lately cause i've been really exhausted from work. BER months are really tiring cause it's peak season for weddings.
So instead of going somewhere else I just searched for affordable hotels in Agoda and found St. Giles Hotel, Makati.
St.Giles is one of my best finds last December 2016. I got it for
P3,300 (Overnight Promo Price)
+P700 (Late Check Out) latest it at 6pm
Inclusive of Taxes and Fees without breakfast
The lobby is classy and looks like a 4 Star Hotel, it's pretty decent. The receptionists are very accommodating. The hotel is situated in a very strategic location, it's near Century City Mall and Poblacion Makati which is a cool place to have midnight foodventures and night outs! Really love this neighborhood cause it's so ALIVE at night!
I took the DELUXE room which is pretty spacious, it has the ff:
✔️King Size Bed
✔️Bathroom: Bathtub; complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothbrush kit, shaving kit and hair cap
✔️HAIR DRYER
It's pretty neat though it doesn't have a bidet. The shower heater works perfectly. I wish I bought bath bombs with me to fully make use of the tub. 🙁
✔️Others: The room also comes with hotel slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary water
✔️Iron and Ironing Board
✔️Air-condition with temp control
✔️Coffee/Tea Maker
✔️Mini Refrigerator
✔️LCD TV with Satellite Channel
Special Facilities of the Hotel:
➕Indoor Pool / Rooftop Pool
➕Top Level Gym
➕Bayleaf Restaurant and Bar
➕Annex Bar
VERDICT: 4/5️
- In Room WIFI is so weak, my phone's internet is faster so don't bother connecting to it
- The pool isn't really nice so I didn't bother going for a swim
- Hallways are well lit but obviously old
The view from the room is facing Makati Ave. Really had an awesome time staying here just laying in bed all day watching Tv Series. It's just so good to take a break once in a while, think about nothing and do nothing. I'm starting to get addicted to staycations and i'll be spending my third one on Feb, I just can't wait!

I am overjoyed that the #UnicornGiveaway was extended!!! So here's my hotel review entry hoping to have a chance to own those super cute Unicorn Onesies. Yeah!
Well, having my review noticed is the best part, bonus na lang ung onesies! Right fellow looloo users? So thank you for taking time to read this. :)
Last October 2016, I conducted an ocular visit among hotels near Makati City for our Annual Christmas Party & Year-end celebration.
Makati Ave is a long stretch of budget hotels, strategic to our office location in the heart of Ayala.
I scheduled five events place to visit for the first day 1 and I like St. Giles Hotel the most, hence this review. Other events place visited were:
✅ Berjaya Hotel
✅ City Garden Hotel
✅ A-Venue Hotel
✅ Makati Sports Club- I also like it here but I'll do the review some other day. ;)
St. Giles Hotel, located along the main road of Makati Ave, is very easy to find. The downside is that there were only few slots for parking and we had a hard time parking near the streets. Uggghhh.
The hotel entrance has a shiny, shimmering theme.
In the receiving area, the walls were mosaic-inspired and made of glass squares in different sizes and colors. It’s eye catchy! The ceiling was made of dangling chime-like material (I’m just not sure what the exact materials were). They're soooo pretty, I wish I could have those at home! hahaha
I like the overall theme color, from its walls, its lighting, its furniture. It gives a light feeling as I gaze around -- I love the interior design of this hotel!
Look at that orangy sofa on the wall side. I had that homey-impression. I sat for a few minutes as I wait for the Account specialist to be available, our appointment was delayed for 20 minutes because as you all know, traffic sa Makati Ave all the time...So buti nalang I can rest for a while in their super comfortable sofa!!! Good thing I was able to control myself not to do an Indian sit! haha. It was very tempting though. I first saw that style at Pinto Art museum in Antipolo. Saving that idea for my future sofa set arrangement! ;)
Their elevator is relatively new. I remember the account specialist mentioned that the Hotel was renovated.
The function room is spacious, good enough to accommodate 100 pax or maybe more. Our requirement was only a hundred pax.
Their lowest consumable package offer is P1100/head inclusive of the use of the venue for 4 hours, the sound system and the projector-related cables (we just have to provide our own laptops).
They justified that the cost is really worth it. Food tasting is available upon request and upon settling the down payment.
Among the hotels I visited for today, this one's my favorite.
